It is amazing when you ran into an honest contractor. We were considering changing the carpets in our rooms. Igor came to our house, did a thorough analysis, and recommended we did nothing for a few years because the carpet was in really good conditions. He thought that the trouble while having a newborn wasn't worth it. Thank you so much, Igor! read more

We waited several years before we decided to replace the hardwood floor in our house. We met with 5 flooring contractors during several months but didn't feel any of them was the right fit for us until one of our neighbors recommended Igor. It was truly a pleasure working with him. He is not only reasonable, he is very easy to work with, his team is great as well as polite, super clean and professional. We recommended him also to some of our friends one of which already completed the job and is also trilled. A definite 5 stars! read more

Punctual, honest, wonderful craftsmanship. I contacted Igor from Bentos Flooring and things were just easy from the first conversation. Igor scheduled a time to come and give an estimate. He was honest and measured everything and calculated the cost per square foot, being completely transparent. When he realized we were going on vacation soon he was able to squeeze us in and completed all the work while we were gone (we didn't expect this, and were able to avoid staying in a hotel while the work was being completed). We have a roommate and that presented some logistical difficulties, and Igor was amazing at working around her schedule, and even helped move her furniture back while we were out of town. The result is beautiful. Our floors are 100+ years old and had not been serviced in a very very long time. There were huge black marks and worn out areas. The floors now look brand new. read more

I needed a hardwood floor for my new home and interviewed two floor contractors. The first came to my home, stomped on the floor a bit, said he could do the job and gave me a good price. The second estimate was from Igor Yun of Bentos Flooring. Igor lifted up the carpet and carefully examined the existing floor under the carpet. He advised me that an engineered floor would be needed and explained how that differed from regular hardwood. He also pulled out a magical electronic measuring device. He sent me an estimate of the labor costs and sent me to a showroom to select the wood. When I told him that I did not like the selection at the first showroom he sent me to second showroom where I found a lovely Somerset maple flooring. Igor stuck to the stringent deadline I needed and his workers were friendly, tidy, and efficient. But perhaps the most impressive thing about Igor was when my painter asserted that his workers had done the floor workers' job by pulling up the floor boards. My painter wanted to charge me extra for that. When I told Igor he graciously agreed to pay for the extra work by lowering his price. However, we came up with an agreement whereby his workers would paint the floorboards in exchange for the painter's workers having pulled up the floor boards. I experienced how fair-minded Igor was and how he was able to avoid conflict. I'm extremely happy with my new floor and highly recommend Bentos Flooring! read more

Great service, punctual, went the extra mile to help us on cleanup. I would definitely use Bentos again. I asked Igor to tell me over the phone how to eliminate a scratch I caused. Igor not only let me in on a simple fix that the pro's use, but he also came out and demonstrated to me in person. Wow! That's service! Thanks Bentos! read more

Great profesional service. Would highly recommend and would use again! After our cleaners left a giant bleach spot on our hardwood floors we frantically searched for a professional to come out and replace the damaged boards. After contacting over ten professionals no one would help. Then we found Bento's Flooring who fixed our disaster within just a couple of days of viewing for a quote. We worked with Jagaa and Fiodar who where both very professional, courteous and exceptional at customer service. They took every opportunity to communicate what would happen and what to expect. They where so respectful of our home, leaving it spot less when they left. Best of all they where committed to the quality of their work. When the job was done, tools packed and out of the house, I came to examine the new floors. The board we replaced was a very different hue then the existing boards and was clearly not part of the original flooring. I explained my feelings and Jagaa and Fiodar *jumped into action* bringing their tools back in to do it again with a different board. They where so intent on my satisfaction that they *gladly* kept at it till it was right. It is this type of customer service that is so rare these days. We are so grateful for this team and their help getting our home back to perfect! Thank you Jagaa and Fiodar! read more

My experience with Bentos Flooring was fabulous. Igor was efficient and responsive giving a quote and scheduling. The crew led by Fiodar made my 90 year old floors look new! Great crew, always on time, polite, and confidence inspiring. They have my highest recommendation. read more

Bentos Flooring - Hallway - Flooring Near Me - Pacifica, California

Igor, Phillip, and another craftsman from Bentos Flooring have given new life to the wood floors in our 60+ year old house. The floors had become very worn over the years and past pets had left their mark. We thought maybe we would have to cover the beautiful wood floor with wall-to-wall carpet, but decided to ask the experts! Igor was responsive to our call for help, and after talking to him and two other contractors, we knew he was the one that was not only the most knowledgeable, but had lots of hands-on experience to back up his words. We made the right choice. Igor's prices were reasonable, and he and his workers were very hardworking. they were always on time and left everything clean at the end of each work day. Thank you for an outstanding job! read more

I recently had a mini-flood that required me to rip out my old flooring and put in new floors. Igor submitted a detailed estimate (very much in-line with what other contractors provided) and was very accommodating in the scope of the project. He was also very careful to listen to my needs and was happy to provide recommendations (when I asked). I only wish I could have asked for more input from him from the get go! A couple of highlights in working with him - Very responsive by phone / email - Comfortable with HOA requests - Works around your schedule as needed (I delayed him one day in the middle of the floors to have some other work done) - Was able to deal with my built-in closest etc (dissembling them to remove old flooring underneath / install need flooring) - Had a great recommendation for my floors that turned out terrific - Even attempted to repair a scratch another contractor had caused in the middle of the whole process. My floors are now done and I couldn't be happier. I am happy to say my experience was almost as good as it gets. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs something done for their floors! read more

Highly recommended! Igor and his team refinished the original parquet floors in my sunset home. They also replaced some damaged boards and filled in some holes drilled by the cable company. The replacement boards were a great match. The pall x 98 finish kept the tone and character of the floor while really cleaning up the look if it. Their cleanup was also super thorough. There was no dust anywhere. read more

Igor and his team did a great job refinishing and repairing the hardwood floors in my apartment. The repairs were flawless and I was impressed how they got into all the nooks and crannies. The results were beautiful. Igor was easy to communicate with and work with. I highly recommend these guys. read more

Professional, great quality of service, cost-competitive (we had two quotes), flexible and super easy to work with! Would recommend Igor and his crew to anyone, such a great experience to find someone so professional and trustworthy. Igor really inspires confidence and his level of professionalism came across from the first interaction when we visited us to provide the quote. For me it is often about the small details, and Igor pays attention to those... When he came in, he removed his shoes without asking and then proceeded to take measurements electronically and check out the space at the same time. This took only minutes and he had a quote ready right away, no fuss. His team was also available to do the work within a week! Igor's team fixed scratches, removed old staples and nails, sanded down, refinished and stained the floor in our living and dining room areas. They also fixed two problem areas that required patches and did a very good job matching the new wood to old. This required no additional cost and did not add to lead time. (talking about details, Igor brought protective covers for the common areas in our building, to minimize dust and protect form any markings!) We needed help moving two heavier pieces of furniture from one room to another and that help was complementary (although I felt that deserved a tip). Finally - believe it or not - Igor does not charge until the work is done and inspected! Pretty cool. OK, I will finish this review now, it is so effusive and almost gushing.... It's just that it is rare to have such a positive experience working with a contractor - don't hesitate to hire Igor! read more

I second all the great reviews below me. In summary, Igor and his team are professional, hard worker, clean, precise, and trustworthy. I am so glad I got the chance to meet Igor, he checked the 2 rooms I needed switched from Carpet to HW, the negotiation was straightforward and delivery perfect. What I can add is how comfortable I felt with his team working in my house which is very important. They did a great job and were so nice. read more

I would give Bentos Flooring 10 stars if I could! Many months after they installed new hardwood floors for me, I bought a new dishwasher which required trimming the hardwood floor by only 1 inch (not flooring problem; existing kitchen counter is too low to fit a new taller dishwasher) I called Igor for help. He showed up the same day (he remembers every job!), sent David to fix a couple of days later, free of charge. That's what I call superior customer service. Thank you Bentos! read more

It took me some time to get to write it down, but since we enjoy our renewed floors so much I decided to share my experience here. Igor's team did a wonderful job in our SF house. The floors look very nice, the job was done quickly and for a reasonable price, and what is also important - no squeaking any more! I would absolutely recommend Igor and his team for a flooring job. Thank you guys, you did it really well! read more

Yes Igor is the BEST. I look at the other reviews on here and I agree with everything they said. Igor did an amazing job. He showed up when he said he would, he worked Sundays to get the job done before we moved in and the floors look amazing. His pricing is competitive and his crew is very professional. I highly recommend Bentos Flooring. read more

Working with Igor, the owner of Bentos, was such a pleasure from the beginning of my flooring project until the end. He helped me walk through every step with lots of information that helped to make my decision easier. Igor is very dependable, honest, and nice. His workmanship is impeccable. He even called me a couple weeks after he completed the job (2 weeks of work) to make sure I was happy and everything was good. Thanks Igor....I have recommended you to a few people already..... read more

No doubt about it, Igor and his team are who you want for your next flooring refinishing job. He took our 100+ year old hardwood floors from sad to spectacular in one day. He was diligent and professional from the estimate to finishing the job. We will use him again - no doubt it. read more

Igor and his team are absolutely fantastic. They refinished the red oak floors on the second floor of my house and installed a new floating red oak floor on the ground floor. After responding quickly to my request for a quote, which was very competitive, Igor's team quickly and professionally completed the job. 3 months later, we had a water intrusion on the ground floor due to a defective foundation. I called Igor to inspect the damage and he immediately identified the potential for mold damage and recommended mold testing. It turned out that he was right and we did have a mold problem. If it hadn't been for that recommendation, we might have ignored the problem. After the remediation was completed, Igor promptly returned and reinstalled those parts of the floor that had been damaged--all at a very competitive price. His team's work was perfectly done and promptly completed. I would highly recommend Igor without any reservations for any flooring work. read more

In January 2019, I hired Bentos Flooring to refinish the wooden floors in a 100-year old house I recently purchased. The living room floor was in terrible shape--the color was splotchy from old pet stains--and some boards in the bedroom were warped. Igor is a consummate professional. He knows what he is doing, and he follows through on his promises. From the beginning, he was realistic about how much of the pet staining he would be able to eliminate. His workers sealed off the area completely so that when the job was completed, there was no mess left behind. They even repaired a damaged floor board, which was not part of the contract. They helped me select a stain color that camouflaged the effect of the pet stains and that harmonized with the decor of the house. The floor was sanded and stained, and then 3 coats of satin finish were applied. Afterward, they even touched up the paint on the baseboards. The job was completed ahead of schedule for a very reasonable price, and the result is fantastic, far beyond my expectations!! I've never written a review on Yelp before, but I'd give Bentos Flooring my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation! You won't be disappointed. read more

Igor and his crew did a beautiful job refinishing our oak hardwood floors. We needed them done quickly and at a cost competitive price.

Igor and his team did a great job! Our floors had not been redone in the 16 years that we've lived here, so this was long overdue. The usual wear and tear, scuffs, holes from old cables, gaps between boards and between the floors and the wall, etc. In addition, ours is a 1916 era home in the Sunset with a lot of inlay in need of repair. Igor and his team fixed all of that, even addressing some areas that we had missed ourselves. A pleasure to come home from vacation to such beautiful new floors! (And a house completely free of dust from the job.) These guys are real professionals. Their work was excellent and the price was right. We recommend them highly. read more

Igor and Bentos Flooring, fulfilled all of their commitments exactly as promised and did a beautiful job on our entry way (maple) and kitchen floors (oak) on our Glen Park home, at what seemed like a reasonable price. Though it was a bit disconcerting to hand over our key and evacuate our home for 2 nights, we returned to a completely clean gorgeous job, and our cat was still there when we arrived. I won't hesitate to call them when we are ready to refinish the living room. read more

No need to look any further for hardwood floor installation. Igor and his crew (especially Fiodor) finished an incredible job on the floors of our new house last week and we are still just sitting around marveling at them. They had at least 3 people here every day for 10 days straight in order to get the job done right and in as timely a manner as possible. Igor's team paid careful attention to the details and involved us in all decisions, big and small, while providing us with the guidance we needed to end up with an amazing result. We have over 30 stairs in our house, and they custom cut wood to perfectly fit each step. The crew cleaned up nicely every day and really went the extra mile at the end of the job (even making perfectly matching wood thresholds out of extra wood pieces). Bentos does a wonderful job at a very fair price. I would hire them again in a minute and would recommend them to anyone who asks. Thanks, Bentos! read more

I spoke with Igor regarding our bamboo floors which suffered some water damage. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and asked great questions so that he had a good handle on the situation. He is super honest; his recommendation was that we didn't need to replace the floor. It's rare for someone to take time out of their day to help someone and not look to create business for themselves. Highly recommended for their knowledge and customer service! read more

I found Bentos flooring online when seeking out a flooring contractor in the sunset district. I had some damaged flooring in the center of a room that required the entire floor to be replaced and I was working within a short time frame. I called Bentos Flooring and Igor came right out and gave me an estimate. We scheduled a day the following week and Igor set time aside to do the job for me. He was professional, expeditious, clean, accommodating and affordable. I wouldn't hesitate to call Igor again or recommend Bentos Flooring to anyone in need of any type of flooring. read more

We agree with all the other five star reviews, Bentos did an outstanding job on refinishing two bedroom floors in our house. More important, Igor, Jaga and Fiodar were very friendly and easy to deal with. Quick and thorough, they kept the rest of the house clean and finished the job ahead of schedule, and the results are beautiful. I wish we had known about them 3 years ago when we had other rooms in the house done. read more

This is the BEST FLOORING company ever!!!! Igor, the owner, is fabulous! He is caring, smart, considerate, professional, and an expert. My daughter's new condo had horrible black floors that had been glued on. were of very poor quality, couldn't be sanded and hence all of her flooring had to be replaced. The demolition proved to be difficult because of all the glue used and the insulation layer that was under the flooring. The demolition was VERY difficult, but Igor was so kind, he put extra men on the job and also worked for 2 Saturdays. My daughter had to have the floors demolished and new flooring put in before the painting could begin. Her schedule for moving was quite tight. Igor was attentive the whole time. He consulted with us about materials, costs, time etc. My daughter decided on carbonized bamboo flooring, which was carefully and beautifully laid, absolutely transforming the condo. It is quite beautiful Igor is very knowledgeable and professional. He tries to get the best deals for you and supervises his men carefully and well. The new floor is magnificent. Igor was even able to install an extra layer of insulation, to accommodate the neighbors downstairs. This is the company to use: with such professional knowledge, kindness, ability to care and accommodate, and attentiveness to all details, YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG! This is the best flooring company ever! read more

just called to ask about sanding and refinishing a spare room. i told the man on the phone the room wasn't too big, and he told me their minimum for any job is 400 sq ft. he didn't even seem interested in giving me a quote. maybe quote me more for the smaller job...:/ I'm disappointed considering their great reviews on here. read more
