Punctual, honest, wonderful craftsmanship. I contacted Igor from Bentos Flooring and things were just easy from the first conversation. Igor scheduled a time to come and give an estimate. He was honest and measured everything and calculated the cost per square foot, being completely transparent. When he realized we were going on vacation soon he was able to squeeze us in and completed all the work while we were gone (we didn't expect this, and were able to avoid staying in a hotel while the work was being completed). We have a roommate and that presented some logistical difficulties, and Igor was amazing at working around her schedule, and even helped move her furniture back while we were out of town. The result is beautiful. Our floors are 100+ years old and had not been serviced in a very very long time. There were huge black marks and worn out areas. The floors now look brand new. read more

I needed a hardwood floor for my new home and interviewed two floor contractors. The first came to my home, stomped on the floor a bit, said he could do the job and gave me a good price. The second estimate was from Igor Yun of Bentos Flooring. Igor lifted up the carpet and carefully examined the existing floor under the carpet. He advised me that an engineered floor would be needed and explained how that differed from regular hardwood. He also pulled out a magical electronic measuring device. He sent me an estimate of the labor costs and sent me to a showroom to select the wood. When I told him that I did not like the selection at the first showroom he sent me to second showroom where I found a lovely Somerset maple flooring. Igor stuck to the stringent deadline I needed and his workers were friendly, tidy, and efficient. But perhaps the most impressive thing about Igor was when my painter asserted that his workers had done the floor workers' job by pulling up the floor boards. My painter wanted to charge me extra for that. When I told Igor he graciously agreed to pay for the extra work by lowering his price. However, we came up with an agreement whereby his workers would paint the floorboards in exchange for the painter's workers having pulled up the floor boards. I experienced how fair-minded Igor was and how he was able to avoid conflict. I'm extremely happy with my new floor and highly recommend Bentos Flooring! read more

After our cleaners left a giant bleach spot on our hardwood floors we frantically searched for a professional to come out and replace the damaged boards. After contacting over ten professionals no one would help. Then we found Bento's Flooring who fixed our disaster within just a couple of days of viewing for a quote. We worked with Jagaa and Fiodar who where both very professional, courteous and exceptional at customer service. They took every opportunity to communicate what would happen and what to expect. They where so respectful of our home, leaving it spot less when they left. Best of all they where committed to the quality of their work. When the job was done, tools packed and out of the house, I came to examine the new floors. The board we replaced was a very different hue then the existing boards and was clearly not part of the original flooring. Igor really inspires confidence and his level of professionalism came across from the first interaction when we visited us to provide the quote. For me it is often about the small details, and Igor pays attention to those... When he came in, he removed his shoes without asking and then proceeded to take measurements electronically and check out the space at the same time. This took only minutes and he had a quote ready right away, no fuss. His team was also available to do the work within a week! Igor's team fixed scratches, removed old staples and nails, sanded down, refinished and stained the floor in our living and dining room areas. They also fixed two problem areas that required patches and did a very good job matching the new wood to old. This required no additional cost and did not add to lead time. (talking about details, Igor brought protective covers for the common areas in our building, to minimize dust and protect form any markings!) We needed help moving two heavier pieces of furniture from one room to another and that help was complementary (although I felt that deserved a tip). I recently had a mini-flood that required me to rip out my old flooring and put in new floors. Igor submitted a detailed estimate (very much in-line with what other contractors provided) and was very accommodating in the scope of the project. He was also very careful to listen to my needs and was happy to provide recommendations (when I asked). I only wish I could have asked for more input from him from the get go! A couple of highlights in working with him - Very responsive by phone / email - Comfortable with HOA requests - Works around your schedule as needed (I delayed him one day in the middle of the floors to have some other work done) - Was able to deal with my built-in closest etc (dissembling them to remove old flooring underneath / install need flooring) - Had a great recommendation for my floors that turned out terrific - Even attempted to repair a scratch another contractor had caused in the middle of the whole process. My floors are now done and I couldn't be happier. I am happy to say my experience was almost as good as it gets. In January 2019, I hired Bentos Flooring to refinish the wooden floors in a 100-year old house I recently purchased. The living room floor was in terrible shape--the color was splotchy from old pet stains--and some boards in the bedroom were warped. Igor is a consummate professional. He knows what he is doing, and he follows through on his promises. From the beginning, he was realistic about how much of the pet staining he would be able to eliminate. His workers sealed off the area completely so that when the job was completed, there was no mess left behind. They even repaired a damaged floor board, which was not part of the contract. They helped me select a stain color that camouflaged the effect of the pet stains and that harmonized with the decor of the house. The floor was sanded and stained, and then 3 coats of satin finish were applied. Afterward, they even touched up the paint on the baseboards. The job was completed ahead of schedule for a very reasonable price, and the result is fantastic, far beyond my expectations!! I've never written a review on Yelp before, but I'd give Bentos Flooring my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation! You won't be disappointed. read more

Igor and his team are absolutely fantastic. They refinished the red oak floors on the second floor of my house and installed a new floating red oak floor on the ground floor. After responding quickly to my request for a quote, which was very competitive, Igor's team quickly and professionally completed the job. 3 months later, we had a water intrusion on the ground floor due to a defective foundation. I called Igor to inspect the damage and he immediately identified the potential for mold damage and recommended mold testing. It turned out that he was right and we did have a mold problem. If it hadn't been for that recommendation, we might have ignored the problem. After the remediation was completed, Igor promptly returned and reinstalled those parts of the floor that had been damaged--all at a very competitive price. This is the BEST FLOORING company ever!!!! Igor, the owner, is fabulous! He is caring, smart, considerate, professional, and an expert. My daughter's new condo had horrible black floors that had been glued on. were of very poor quality, couldn't be sanded and hence all of her flooring had to be replaced. The demolition proved to be difficult because of all the glue used and the insulation layer that was under the flooring. The demolition was VERY difficult, but Igor was so kind, he put extra men on the job and also worked for 2 Saturdays. My daughter had to have the floors demolished and new flooring put in before the painting could begin. Her schedule for moving was quite tight. Igor was attentive the whole time. He consulted with us about materials, costs, time etc. My daughter decided on carbonized bamboo flooring, which was carefully and beautifully laid, absolutely transforming the condo. It is quite beautiful Igor is very knowledgeable and professional. He tries to get the best deals for you and supervises his men carefully and well. The new floor is magnificent. Igor rescued my floor. We have a small area of never used hardwood floor, which was always covered by carpet since the house was built 60 year ago. We wanted to refinish it. We hired Bentos to install engineered hardwood flooring in our kitchen and dining room. There were three men working, primarily. They were extremely meticulous in making sure the floor was level, removing the old flooring, and preparing the subfloor for the new wood. They made sure everything was perfectly aligned, and used weights to keep everything uniform after gluing. The final pieces for the stairs and room thresholds made the place look absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this company. read more
