He came to my house to look at the floors and provided me options, from a simple clean and re-coat, to sanding, staining, and re-coating. The prices he quoted were extremely reasonable, and he was totally accommodating with my schedule. I chose a total sanding and refinishing job. Once the project started, Ty arrived on time, worked quickly, and communicated clearly and professionally. And when the work was done, I was blown away at how great the floors looked. They were like new!! And little details were great too. My floors have beveled edges to accent the boards; He sanded sparingly to preserve these. He also consulted with me at the staining phase to be sure I was satisfied with the color and finish. And when the job was done, there was not a bit of sawdust or any other trace of the work process. All cabinets and shelves had been masked off to keep them clean and safe. So the whole house looked clean and new, with sparkling new floors! Ty and his team did a fantastic job buffing and recoating our hardwood floors for our new home. One spot was water damaged, and three other floor companies told me that if we did a spot fix for the water damaged area without refinishing the entire room, then it would be really obvious where the spot fix was. Ty was the only person who told me that he felt confident they can get a 90% match to the flooring, which was good enough for us because refinishing would have delayed when we can move into the house by. Ty was also kind enough to work over the weekend to help us meet our move-in target date. They came early and finished recarpeting about 2,100 sq ft within 6 hours. Now our floors look like they're new! I also accidentally sent them a double payment without realizing, and Ty called me the next day to let me know and quickly sent me back my money. We had a fantastic experience installing baseboards and refinishing our floors with Ty and his team! Communication was easy, and Ty was friendly, professional, punctual, and knowledgable. First, him and his team removed our old baseboards, delivered the new ones, and let us paint them before installing the new ones a few days later. They thoroughly sanded and repaired areas of damage and dry rot before putting the stain and finish on our original red/white oak parquet floors, working carefully to remove all areas of the old stain and filling in any cracks and gaps. We appreciated that he was so flexible when we changed our minds about the stain after seeing a test patch, pivoting along with us to help us achieve the look we were going for. One thing that was different right way with Q's Flooring from all the other bids we got was their rep, Ty, stating, "You don't need to refinish this floor yet, only resurface it." In other words, he suggested a smaller job for 1/3 the price than than a full refinishing would have. All the other companies wanted the big job. But if you refinish a hardwood floor, they sand 1/4" off. You can only do this 4 times in the life of your hardwood floor before you have to replace it. I really appreciate the honesty that Ty brought. They also did a great job on the refinishing, and helped fix a few problem areas by sanding and restaining, and filling in small damaged areas. read more

I can't say enough good things about Q's Flooring and Ty! I wish all contractors were as professional, skilled, and reliable as him and his team. I originally had my floors done by someone else just a few months ago, only to find out they had no idea what they were doing. The concrete underneath had cracked, and instead of fixing it, they just laid the floors right on top! That caused the floors to bubble and buckle, making them uneven and a complete mess. Ty took the time to do the job the right way--pulling up all the flooring, properly repairing the concrete, and then expertly relaying the floors. His attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship were evident every step of the way. He communicated everything clearly, explaining exactly what needed to be done and why, so I always felt informed and confident in his work. I offered to pay Ty extra to schedule me for an earlier date. He was able to fit me in earlier and get the work done to perfection.
