We hired New Gen Floors because the tiles in our kitchen was falling apart, and we wanted to replace it with hardwood to match the rest of the house. We also wanted to refinish / stain our existing hardwood to a Rosewood color. Joseph from New Gen from beginning to finish was amazing. So happy to have found New Gen Floors to repair a dry rot in our house. Knowing how busy many of the flooring companies are these days, I was worried that our project was too small for companies to bother to respond. Joseph came to assess our floor and provided a fair estimate. He was flexible and easy to communicate with. To my delight, he was able to squeeze in our project for the following week. John from New Gen worked on the dry rot and did a wonderful job replacing, sanding and staining the wood panels to look just like the surrounding area. \New Gen refinished our 50 year old oak hardwood hall and 20 year old engineered oak floor in the kitchen. They had to replace water damaged floorboards in the kitchen and hallway. The kitchen floor was a challenge because the engineered flooring is no longer available so they used solid hardwood which was of a different thickness and texture. Nevertheless, the solution was brilliant. Unlike many other outifts, Joseph, the person who does the estimates is also the owner and worker who,, along with his longtime assistant actually does the work. Before reaching out to Joseph and New Gen Floors, I had gone through over 20+ contractors over a 2 month period to get an installation expert to come install new hardwood laminate in one of my rooms. I've learned that the overwhelming majority of contractors are unreliable and flaky. Joseph on the other hand, was very responsive and up front about everything. He worked with me to find a quick turn-around time even on such short notice. Not only that but he quoted me at an extremely fair price while a handful of other contractors wanted to charge me almost double the price.
