Bagels are great. But I only buy them to-go and fix them at home. Place is chaotic- staff does not have set roles so lots of hands touching all kinds of surfaces. Food prep sanitation and cleanliness are low. Walked in and walked out on last visit although we had planned to eat there. Stopped in on Saturday morning 11/1 to get 2 egg sandwiches on a bagel. This is the most disorganized group of employees. There were at least 7 people working, and it to 45 minutes to get 2 egg sandwiches. After 1/2 hour I asked the girl where our sandwiches were, and she told me they are just waiting on the eggs. I asked her how long does it take to fry and egg on a flat top. She said they had to take care of Doordash and Grubhub orders. Not sure why she thought that was a valid excuse, but that is total BULLSHIT! Never going back there again! The worst service ever. read more

If you love bagels just say yes. Bagels with cream cheese are the best way to go for me. Drinks are standard.

The fact that only eggs with French toast and eggs with pancakes, took over a half hour to prepare you would think I ordered Chilean Seabass, corn roasted risotto, some type of full on scratch kitchen meal. The place isn't even that busy barely anyone in here. The black woman that works in the front is loud and slow. If you don't mind waiting half an hour to 40 minutes for something simple like eggs and flipping a pancake then this is the perfect place to sit and waste your time for simple things that take 10 to 12 minutes tops to prepare and plate. Just abysmal lucky I don't have a job to get to or I'd risk being late just for a hash brown and an egg. read more

First time here and I'm not feeling it. It's great that their menu includes many items but the bagel and muffin we had wasn't worth the stop. The grilled muffin tasted like meat and the bagel with butter was dry. We also paid what we would have paid at our favorite small business bagel place for less. Many customers went in and out so people like them. This place just isn't for us. read more

Nice atmosphere, staff busy and friendly. The place was well maintained and smells great. Food was pretty good. I would recommend going in person . Online orders, from door dash, Grubhub, etc are extremely slow. My order was an online for pickup. It was ordered 20 minutes before arrival. I was there an additional 30 minutes. The entire restaurant turned over 4 to 5 times before one online order is filled. If you ordered online, I would give it a one. read more

Kind of disappointed on this. We stopped by for the Philly wrap, novalox and steak and egg on a bagel. The novalox I put on a jalapeño bagel. The flavor of the bagel was good, but It wasn't toasted and was cold when I got it. I loved the sheer amount of salmon on it- just piled on (yes please!) but the over abundance of onion was off putting and I ended up pulling 5 strands out... and still left some in there. The steak and egg on a bagel was mediocre. The egg wasn't seasoned at all, and again, the bagel itself was barely room temperature. The Philly wrap we had high hopes for. Sadly, they forgot the cheese and it burned my husbands mouth badly he couldn't eat it. He assumed bc ours were cold that his was fine. It wasn't. They were also out of 90% of the coffee and milk on the counters. The lady that cashed us out was friendly and so was the guy who took our order so the staff was great.. but the food was a little lackluster. read more

Our new Sun AM stop for delicious freshly made bagels. Efficient quick service , despite the fact they're usually pretty busy at 7:30 am! Coffee is decent, but they need better, sturdier cups/lids. Great neighborhood gem. read more

An amazing gem of a bagel shop with kind, courteous and knowledgeable staff that are eager to make your bagel to perfection. They are a well oiled team - including the young man who was out smoking a joint at 7 am by the entrance much to his boss' embarassment (young man, clean up your act - its a bad look to be getting baked outside where you work at 7 am). There are likely newly arrived immigrants happy to have the job who most certainly have the good sense to keep their private habits private (if there ever was a case to welcome in people who have the wherewithal to get here - this is it). Awesome old school, no frills, bustling place that I'm so glad to have around. Love bagel shops and super glad to have this place, they have all the classics and absolutely hit the spot. We got cheddar jalapeño bagels with sausage egg and cheese with a hashbrown added in to the sandwich - completely brought me back to life. The iced coffee is surprising good as well. During my last visit to MA I came here on two separate occasions for bagels, just plain bagels to make my own sandwiches at home. They were good, but not great and there aren't a lot of bagel choices in the area. I do like that the everything bagel was covered (both) sides with seasoning, and it was still better than anything you'd ever get in a bag from a grocery store but I think I'm use to getting really good bagels in Florida. We've got a place called Brooklyn Water Bagels and they always have lines out the door in the mornings. I have to also say that Panera bagels are slightly better, but not by much. So the bagels were a solid 3. I would have given them 4 stars because service was good both times that I went but the place seemed really dirty and in desperate need of a facelift. One of the times I went my dad was with me and he mentioned too that the shop looked/felt grimy. read more

We ordered on the phone for pick up and we got a sausage egg and cheese with a bacon egg and cheese. The food was ready when we got there and the food was so good. They have a spacious parking lot and the staff was nice. My only complaint is you have to make your own coffee at the condiment stand. I wish the employees would make the coffee. Other than that, I loved this bagel shop in Springfield and I would return. read more

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat and I must say this place blew my mind. The place a large variety of breakfast items as well as lunch. For their breakfast they have bagels (of course), wraps, sandwiches and smoothies. Lunch mirrors what is for breakfast as well. There is a large. selection of bagels to choose from. Also they have a whole coffee selection so you are not limited. I ordered a lox bagel. On a everything bagel. I think they gave me a large amount of smoked salmon. They also had salmon cream cheese which was a plus because its always hard to find. The staff were great and provided me with nice service since it was my first time. read more

Really solid sesame bagel with egg and cheese. Pretty sure they make it with mozzarella and it was so much better than your average cheddar/American cheese breakfast sandwich. The service top rate friendly fast and efficient. Ambiance - that have ample seating if your can wait to dig in a freshly made bagels. The is an assortment of beverages for your selection, from coffee, juices , and water. Seems to be a local popular spot as there were many bagels already gone and it was pretty crowded inside. Very disappointed with my veggie schmear or cream cheese as they called it. The people at this bagel shop seem nice and friendly. And they might well kill you. We went in yesterday on our way through town. While the half dozen staff were laughing and making people's breakfasts NOT ONE OF THEM had a mask over their mouth and nose. They all had masks -- hanging down, pulled down, useless. The front of this shop has a big sign "no mask no service." But that's all image. They are either really stupid or just don't care. As usual, this is not and will not be NY or NJ bagels. But for New England they are pretty good. Nice selection of flavors. Good breakfast sandwiches. Put a hashbrown right on your sandwich. Also not on the menu but they have a few sauces to put on the sandwiches if you ask. read more

Stopped by with a friend, and had a rye bagel with butter. Friend had a steak, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. Both of us enjoyed. This little gem has ample parking, a very friendly staff, and an excellent assortment of bagels made fresh daily. The crowd was constant, with several customers picking up the orders they had phoned in. They also apparently make a good smoothie, as two people ordered them. Overall, I thought the food was very good, the price right, and the service excellent. I will be returning. For the northern CT / western MA territory, one of the best bagel joints around. read more

This place isn't like all the other fast breakfast sandwhich places that use premade eggs, they make everything on the grill to order. So many different bagel flavors & many different pastries to choose from! Bensons does get busy during breakfast hours especially on the weekend, but the line moves decently fast! Just finished my first egg sandwich at this establishment and all I can say is awesome. I order a sausage egg and cheese with corned beef hash on an everything bagel . Yep you read that right. All on the same sandwich. From first bite to last....delicious. This is not on their regular menu so you have to ask them to make it special....it should be added. Bagel was fresh, sandwich was hot and just right juicy. But most of all the taste was amazing. Highly recommend. Oh...and they have a really good Banana Hazelnut coffee.
