Incredible jumbo pretzels! I would highly recommend this place. You can definitely spit 1 pretzel between 2 adults.

All the tables were full and customers were constantly coming and going. I can see why after checking em out. Pricing is fair. If you compare it to auntie Anne's they are cheaper with better quality ingredients being used. Service was very quick - there is a kiosk at the front counter or you're able to order with a staff member. Within 5 mins our snack was ready. My husband and I tried a salted pretzel with nacho cheese sauce and creamy mustard sauce. The pretzel itself was cooked perfectly. Texture wise it was somewhat crispy on the outside with a very fluffy center. The nacho cheese sauce was better than cheese sauces I've had before. The creamy mustard was reallll good, we ended up taking the remainder of it home so we could use it for something else.

My husband and I ordered a pretzel dog and the Monte Cristo stuffed pretzel to share. I loved the pretzel dog, it was my favorite. A good sized hotdog wrapped in pretzel with salt sprinkled on top, so yummy! The Monte Cristo stuffed pretzel was served with a raspberry serrano jam. It was tasty, but my husband and I thought it tasted better with mustard. It was good, but their pretzel dog won out over that. Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to revisit this restaurant. They have a lot of pretzels and stuffed pretzels to try.

So I eat here way more than I should. ^_~ But the customer service today was horrible. I mean, the worst I've EVER had. From anywhere. And I go to a lot places. There was no one else in the store but the girl behind the counter was acting like I was holding her up. She was snarky and rude. Thumping my pretzels on the counter as if it wasn't my lunch... Omgoodness. I was starving. Still I didn't say anything. Cuz I'm nice. I let her finish up packing up my order. Paid her. Then was gonna leave with my pretzel. When she said, in her snarky, rude manner... You're welcome. Then I was done. I looked at her and told her I didn't thank her cuz she was rude. And proceeded to walk to my car. Seriously. If I hadn't have been STARVING I would've given it back to her and asked for my money back. But did I mention I was starving?! I will just never be a skinny girl... #shrug But I am happy to leave the one star that Yelp requires because the pretzels really are so yummy. However, if she's working I'll just starve. I won't go back. For real though. 1.24.19 1:45 PM

Hot dog in the pretzel has Swiss cheese which my kids did not appreciate. The pretzels have several topping available as well as dipping sauces. I happen to be in the store--Meijer shopping with my significant other on a week work day around the 11:00 o'clock hour not realizing their hours at the time I was disappointed they were not open since I happened to be there shopping with him; however, I returned close to noon before going to work and it was pitch black in their corner! Wow, I said to the greeter/security guy, what time do they open? He said they running a little late today--they open at 11:00 and the first batch of pretzels are on the counter at that time. So I kept coming back before work a few times with the same negative results. I would arrive ten to fifteen minutes after 11:00, either they weren't there or just arriving pulling out their equipment. The crazy part about this is that it was different people most of the time except for one time it was the same person. This is why I say it's been going on for ever because they all were late! I am going out of my way in the opposite direction to work to get a pretzel with negative results every time! Other than not opening on time, their pretzels are delicious and I give them four stars for the taste, size and price. I happen to ask one of the servers/cashier about the $2.00 pretzel price I had heard about and she told me that the $2.00 price was only on Tuesday all day. I have not been able to confirm the $2.00 price yet via a paper menu or something because I would like to know is it only on Tuesday, which I would miss out since they cannot seem to open up on their scheduled time before I go to work, or is it Monday thru Thursday between certain hours that was mentioned in another review--I would like to know. I just confirmed the $2.00 Tuesday, I didn't ask but it probably started out $2.00 from a certain time during certain days when they first opened. I talked with the greeter again today on Saturday May 27, '17. He said look who over there, she opened up on time and the Pretzels were out & ready at 11:00. He went on to say they have opened up as late as after two o'clock. He said he personally know the owner and he said he can't find any body that wants to work. Today, there's a Caucasian woman working, the other days they were people of color--my color! I guess it's a "Black" thing?

As a German I had to try it. The potato pancakes were a good start, tasted like mom used to make. The Platter had a lot of food. I don't know what region this place is from, the sauerkraut and Blaukraut were not Bavarian, the Spätzle felt ready made and not home made. The Bratwurst was too fine for me, I'm thinking north German. The strudel was good tho. The service was fantastic! From host to server they took care of me and made sure I wanted for nothing, so I can't complain there. Decor wise this looks like what you'd imagine a German restaurant looking like in the US. Lots of banners advertising beer and German flags hanging on the walls with a collection of steins everywhere you look. Overall it's not "authentic" for me, but the food tasted good and the service was exceptional.

At Christmas time (Weinachten), the staff at Edelweiss Restaurant decks the entire places out like a Christmas Market (Weinachtmacht) in Munich. It is Delightful. I have eaten here many times, over numerous decades. It is a 5 minute drive from the cemetery where my entire family is buried. Oktoberfest 2025 begins on Saturday Sep. 6 and goes until Sunday Nov. 2 (it is a lot of fun if you like beer and live traditional German songs. I almost always order one or more of the following: Steak Tartar (as a starter), followed by Leberknodel Soupe (liver dumpling soup), and then either the Bavarian Pork Shank, or the Sauerbraten, or the Wiener Schnitzel (a breaded & fried veal cutlet that's as big and pounded flat as a large pancake) as my main. Get these with the Spätzle and the sweet stewed Red Cabbage for the best experience. There is truly no reason to order the burger or the salmon.

The curry wurst was the bomb but needed more sauce. The sauce was heavenly though. The potato pancakes great and flavorful. The cabbage rolls tasty. The liver soup not my favorite only because it had a liver taste--which if you like, then you'll like it. The saurkraut and purple cabbage the best Ive ever tasted and worth getting. The spetzel so-so, not much flavor. Son liked it though. The bread dumplings ok. More like white bread. The big pork shank that is the prize-it was good but not as stellar as we thought it would be. And we did make sure to order it crispy like it said to and it wasn't. Looked like it was a little browned but even my young son said the fat isn't rendered. I think it would have been a lot better if it had been crispy like in other pictures on here. Disappointed. It's like $35. Not cheap. The beef with sauce (sauerbraten) was good, the sauce great, the beef ok. The special that was going on, the beef roulade. Nobody liked it at all. The stuff just didn't taste good together in it. Overall, it was a good experience. The waitress Rosie was amazing, most of the food was great to awesome. The ambiance was German and cozy. Our favorites: the curry wurst sauce, the saurkraut and red cabbage and the stuffed cabbage rolls.
