Benny's is a no frills neighborhood spot with good service. Benny serves great pizza that's always fresh. If you keep kosher the Benny's is where you should go. If you are vegetarian and want good toppings on your pizza such as vegan pepperoni and vegan sausage you'll find them at Benny's. On Saturday night call ahead of time as they open after Shabbat hours.

Stellar and perfect. My fav NY pizza Guys at the counter are lovely as well Don't listen to the haters

Okay pizza but it's very far from the real Italian pizzas, so if you're looking for that then this is not the place to go to. To me the dough was too greasy and it felt like it was fried--super weird, and it wasn't because of the toppings. We had 4 different slices: the veggie and the cheese tasted better, the tomato basil and the spinach was ok. Also it's on the expensive side, especially for Brooklyn.

    At least they tried.

The quality and taste of the pizza is pretty good. Without a doubt, they are the best pizza place in their immediate surroundings. They also turn your orders around pretty quickly. Nonetheless, the prices are pretty high ($5 a slice!) and their ambiance and staff friendliness needs some work. Will I go back, sure. Do I have any other choice in that area?

The box is empty! where is the pizza?... this is not $7.00 of pizza ... that is one really big slice or 1 1/4 slices. Benny... what is this?

Food: Smash burger are great, they are not the best but I would rank it as top 5 in the city. I was pretty surprised how they charge for cheese (the place is mostly Kosher, and the Cheese of I remember is vegan) which contradict the concept of smash burgers. The fries were overly cooked if not almost burned, so I couldnt eat half of the basket. Service: ordering regular fries and getting trufle fries just to charge me extra is not a nice move. But having those popcorn and water cup made up for it little bit. If I knew I would be charged that much (burger + fries) I would have chosen from the lunch special menu

Wanted to like this place more but it missed the mark. This is really a 3.5 star review…read more I went on a weekday around 12:30 and it was completely empty. I was told to take a menu from the counter and that I could have a seat. Tried to order a mint lemonade but they didn't have any mint. OK so I ordered a strawberry basil iced tea, which was refreshing, but didn't really have much flavor in my opinion. When I looked at the menu, they had a lot of different burger options but I settled for a Smashburger that was shown on a summer menu. However, I then watched the waiter offer two groups who came after me a lunch special menu that was not offered or mentioned to me. Had I known there were lunch specials, I would've checked them out to see if I wanted to order. So I was a little upset that these were offered to everyone except me. In terms of the actual burger, I found the patties to be way too thin, even for a smash burger. To me it left the burger, feeling kind of skimp and not fulfilling at all. I also ordered fries which were honestly the star of the show. Lastly, I didn't feel like the service was up to par. There was a large table in front of a door and the waiter kept yelling to people to not sit at the table because he needed to access the door. My question is, why place a table in a spot that you know you need to be able to go in and out of? And then on top of that when he gave me the bill, it said one price, however, after I paid and a receipt was brought to me to sign it, had a different price. What I think happened is he did not add the drink the first time and I didn't notice, but I feel like when this happened you should just say to the customer that you forgot to add something and here's a new receipt. There was also an automatic 15% gratuity, which I wasn't fond of. I spent $40 for a lunch that I barely liked. Way too overpriced and not worth the visit imo.

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Great food doesn't care where you come from -- it just brings everybody to the same table. That's New York. That's Brooklyn.

One of the best parts is that the place is halal, which made it an easy stop for some classic New York deli-style sandwiches. The restaurant has that old-school neighborhood deli feel with a small cozy dining area, wood-paneled walls, and the smell of fresh smoked meat filling the entire place. I went with the combo pastrami and corned beef on rye, and it was absolutely loaded with meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the corned beef was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The rye bread held everything together really well and added that classic deli flavor that makes sandwiches like this so good. We also tried the Reuben-style sandwich with melted cheese and sauerkraut, which was equally delicious and perfectly balanced. The portions here are huge, the meat quality is excellent, and every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're in Brooklyn and craving authentic deli sandwiches with halal options.

Their signature burger is ultra juicy bf flavorful, even if you must get it well done ;), the Duck pastrami was really tender and had all the flavors of what a traditional pastrami would have. Their charcuterie board was phenomenal and chef said he'd be updating it from time to time with new additions as well. And I'm physical obsessed with their pickled veggies jar!! Loved their olive oil cake served with an in season persimmon and kumquat coulis, almost like a short cake and the sweet and tart of the fruit coulis complimented really well. Oh and they will hold your table 20 min past your reservation time, DO NOT BE LATER THAN THAT because there is a ton of walk ins and they will give your table up to one of the many hungry patrons waiting. Which I do very much appreciate that they stick to that rule.
