This is the worst customer service for a pizZa shop around town. Never again. back in the day they had amazing services and food prior to the new ownership. They need to hire new staff with better attitudes. The two Hispanic guys that work here have been incredibly rude when you ask them a simple question. The blond haired bald Jewish guy (early 30's) is a rude piece of shit. Walked in and stood in front of him to order and he didn't look up from his phone for another 30 seconds even after I spoke. I came here to order 1 slice of pizza and I asked when the slice would be ready. The workers were ridiculously rude and in a SARCASTIC tone, said "10 minutes" and was yelling at my fiancé and laughing. AVOID This stuff is gross, or at least the pizza delivered to me last night was. I ordered a 12 inch with mushrooms and tomatoes so I could eat some for lunch and dinner today too. I ended up not being able to eat any of it, it was that disgusting. Okay, I know it's called Benny's Pizzeria, but I ended up not getting the pizza, the other food looked great too! One thing about moving to Midwood that has me tickled pink is the availability of kosher products and food. No, I am not an observant Jew, nor am I even Jewish by birth...but I love the fact that since there are many kosher options here, I get lots of veggie-options too! I ordered the veggie burger supreme. This was a veggie patty with a grilled portabella mushroom on top, with guac and cheese. Really? Heaven on a plate. It's served on a sesame bun (with sesames seeds on both sides!) I asked for it with the salad on the side which was sliced cucumbers with red onion and tomatoes. It was really a simply delicious meal. My fiancee got the avocado wrap and macaroni and cheese. The Mac'n'cheese was served to us in a piping hot crock bowls. Overall, I think the food is delicious and I would definitely return to check out the pizza (which looked delicious by the way!) read more

Woohoo! First restaurant experience since moving to Brooklyn a few days ago. It is a little kosher pizza joint (still not sure what that means when it comes to pizza...bad Jew I am) with good prices. One slice (nice, large size) runs about $3.50. I got a veggie assortment that was extremely delish. My only gripe would be the amount of oil on the pizza, but I am sure most people are into that. I am one of the annoying folks who kills a tree blotting with too many napkins. The staff was nice and very prompt. I had one of my slices to go, and they took care of it for me. Di Fara's is a few blocks away, but if you're in Midwood and want to walk into a place and walk out a minute or two later with good slice in your hand then Benny's is the place. This is kosher pizza that doesn't seem kosher. What do I mean? As someone who prides myself on knowing a good pizza (kosher or non) when I taste it, Benny's can do it right. But here's my complaints. First, they are too pricey. They use lower the costs. I simply can't justify buying their pizza on any regular basis at this price point. Second, their service needs improvement--especially ordering for delivery. They are nice enough. No one is rude, but I have yet to receive a pizza to my home exactly how I ordered it. This place is extremely dirty. When a restaurant has a "grade pending" for over a year it makes you wonder what's so terrible that an inspector has yet to be bribed. Well, for starters the salad bar is not refrigerated and the vegetables are not fresh.The spinach, or any of the vegetables for that matter, is not washed thoroughly... Good to know that golden "rabbi gornish" seal of kashrut plastered on the window ensures the highest level of cleanliness. Probably the best kosher pizza in NYC. Maybe that's because their Avenue J location (1/2 block from the Q train station) is only 2 doors from Di Fara's pizzeria, which may be the best in the WORLD. Unlike other kosher pizzerias, Benny's uses fresh mozzarella in some of its creations (together with fresh basil leaves in their delicious Pizza Margherita, which I highly recommend). Benny's higher-end pizzas are a bit more costly than most other kosher pizza, but well worth the extra dough. They also serve pasta dishes, fish & salads. They have a few tables in the Avenue J location, more in the Avenue M location. They deliver within a small radius of these locations. Try it; you'll like it. read more

Being in the midst of many Kosher shops and the famous pizza joint around the corner, I'd expect a bit more from this pizzeria. The prices are a little high. Still, we ordered a medium 4-cheese pie which set us back a hefty $20. It was decent, but it lacked a lot of taste, and later upset our stomachs. Either way, the staff are VERY friendly and helpful.
