PMG Vacation Rentals CANCELLED our reservation, via email, 1 day before Christmas Eve and 4 days…read morebefore our departure, because they "didn't get the permits"!! With 8 family members (one very ill) across 3 generations, flying from both coasts at the holidays, to say this was shocking news would be an understatement. (AirBnB having allowed PMG to rent through the platform is negligent.) The only saving grace was Andrea, the concierge, who was a consummate professional in spending Christmas Eve cleaning up her company's unethical mess they left. DO NOT do business with this company.

The lady said yes and confirmed my unit number and said it was already in there. I was told if there wasn't by chance would they bring one- the lady said yes and again ensured there was one in the unit. We arrived and there was no crib for my baby. On top of that we had nearly 30 bath towels and 1 wash cloth. We also ran out of trash bags and nearly ran out of toilet paper. We had no extra Blankets only bed sheets. The day we arrived i called the PMG rentals for assistance (and had a few questions as well as needed the pay and play they promised as my baby had no where to sleep) 7x and no one answered and messaged them 3x. The following day i called another 3x and still no answer on the phone. My frustration started with the crib for my baby and just trickled down from there.... I would not recommend. This is terrible customer service. And 5 days later i have YET to hear from anyone.

We had so much fun exploring the sound, North Nest Key and the mangroves in the Everglades National Park and made memories to last a lifetime! The resident staff - Jenn, Chuck, and Mike - are so welcoming, and helpful, and they take great care of the property and boats - not just the Catalina sailboats, but a Sunfish, a Hobie Wave, numerous kayaks, and paddle boards - and fishing gear. Cottages are a little quirky, and if you stay in the Main house, a lot quirky, but I found that to be part of the charm. My fellow sailors just found it weird. But we were able to comfortably fit 4 adults in the cottage and watch the Olympics on a TV the size of a dining room table every evening. Such a wonderful place we are planning an annual trip

Unfortunately the wind picked up on the second day and a small craft warning stopped us from sailing after day 1. We stayed in the "Captains Cottage", which turned out to be a lot nicer than the photos -- close to the water, and quite nice inside. The place itself, as others have noted, is pretty quirky and could be seen as run down, but we liked the charm. Along with the sailboat there were lots of kayaks, two smaller sailboats and other watercraft all available at no extra charge. People gathered each evening in the waterfront hut to have a beer and chat. After a couple of days we felt like we were part of a family there, and when we moved on to a condo in Tavernier we really missed that feeling. Practically next door are two nice waterfront restaurants (Snooks and Bayside) with great waterfront views. We are recommending this place to everyone we meet!

Excellent imitation wood floor & great bathroom tiling. Windows open, but no screens, so didn't keep them open. Great ceiling fan, A/C, & tv. Excellent coffee maker & some supplies. Efficiency type room. The bed was ultra comfortable, the type that doesn't move at all when you turn. Won't disturb your partner. Great parking, one way road though, so it's funny when you're driving around outside the resort because it's one way inside. OOPS! Better to walk than drive inside the resort. Laundry room. Quality fun friendly guests. Zero complaints. Something on the wall was chirping, asking for a battery maybe, I emailed them, couldn't wait, found a maintenance worker, & she stopped it. Everyone was interesting & friendly. Vicky Bakery across the street was excellent. Beware of the highway, supersonic fast drivers outside of the resort. Turns into white noise at night. The rooms are near the entrance, while the 2story loft tiny houses are near the gulf water. I would love to return during the summer for water sports.

Stayed in the Conch Villa as part of a pretty large wedding event. The first impression when…read moredriving into the place was, "What could possibly be back here that is going to work for a wedding?" However, the answer to that was surprisingly great. The villas have separate rooms with common areas and the one I was in had three bedrooms. The bedroom situation was similar to a hotel room. A nice comfortable bed, a private bathroom, generous closet space, and - most importantly - a good stable temperature even with the thermostat being out in the hall. A ceiling fan helps with circulation, which is great too. The only real downside I can think of is that two of the bedrooms are on the second floor, and you need to take this into account with your luggage as there are no elevators. Well, that and the fact that the finish of the stairs blend into the floor at the bottom so if you are older this might make for a physical perception problem as well. Anyway... Parking is a little tight when the place is full, but the location worked out really well for the wedding ceremony. Out on the point you can see the sunset across the water in the evening. Manatees frequent the dock which are a sight to behold. Across the dock there was a nice flat area on hard sand that was perfect for the reception. Yes, there are water activities including dolphin interactions across the boarder from what are the villas, but I can't make any comment on that part since I didn't manage to even visit over there.

As Hilton Gold members, we were fortunate to receive a small room upgrade at booking, which we definitely appreciated. Let me start with the highlights the resort amenities are wonderful, especially for families. There were plenty of complimentary activities for kids during the day, and even fun nighttime events like dancing that were adorable and well thought out. It truly felt family-friendly, and there was always something going on to keep everyone entertained. The cutest was Santa pics with cookies and milk! The staff was attentive and kind throughout our stay, and honestly, that goes a long way. Great service can elevate an entire experience, and they really delivered on that front. That said, at nearly $1,000 per night during peak season, I did expect the facilities and rooms to be in better condition. The property has so much potential, but parts of it felt a bit rundown for the price point. The rooms could use some attention and deeper cleaning. I completely understand that this is a beachfront resort and sand is inevitable however we noticed quite a bit of sand throughout the room, even on the bed when it had been freshly made. I've stayed at other beach resorts where housekeeping was a bit more thorough in that regard. However nothing crazy but cleanliness is big in my book. One morning, there was also a cockroach at the coffee cart. My husband reported it right away to the front desk. The next few mornings the cart wasn't out, and I'm assuming they were addressing the situation, which I appreciate but it was still a bit off-putting. The on-site restaurants were good not extraordinary, but enjoyable and I felt the pricing there was fair considering it's a resort property. Overall, we had a great experience. The resort has incredible potential, and with a little more attention to upkeep especially considering the premium nightly rate it could easily be a five-star stay. The friendly staff and activities made a big difference.

So Baker's Cay was unable to contact him to let him know the suite he had booked for us with an amazing looking bathtub would not be available due to it not being fully completed with construction. So when we arrived they told us the room wasn't available. My heart sank. I know his sank twice as hard. He has his new wife with his wonderful plan to give her a beautiful bathtub and suddenly it all fell apart. The front desk was so kind though and I truly felt like they cared and felt terrible about this mistake. They really made up for it by giving us so many perks throughout our stay, including a beautiful room with the most amazing view. A shout out to their concierge, Ashley, who really assisted us in booking things! Now that aside, the resort itself is just soooooo relaxing! It is the perfect spot for a honeymoon or any kind of romantic celebration. We loved the love locks they sold in the gift shop and hung ours on the love lock arch. They offer floats, which we were gifted complimentary because of the mix up, and we had a private one. I haven't been that relaxed in a long time, just floating out in the water. Everything we ate was fantastic! Including room service, which was always quick to arrive. My favorite thing was the quesadillas at Dry Rocks! And the chicken dish at Calusa. One day we were going to head down to Key West, but just decided to stay at the resort because it was so wonderful to chill at. We reserved a daybed that day right at the water's edge. They set it up with towels and water and we were able to order food. Even the aforementioned quesadilla. I was in heaven. They have bikes you can use too. Those were fun to ride down to Shell World and get some souvenirs. There's also a pool with a wonderful jacuzzi that is hot, private and has strong jets! This was just the most wonderful honeymoon! Despite no tub, I was a happy wife! And happy wife, happy life, right?
