A WARNING TO THE PUBLIC: Do not enter into a surgical contract with Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers / EyeCare Partners. Their team, led by Dr. Aparna A. Shah, M.D., and Stephanie Raley, Director of Surgical Services, overcorrected during my PRK vision correction procedure, permanently damaging my vision. What was a small astigmatism in both eyes is now remaining astigmatism, hyperopia, and severe dry eye disease. Their company has not only denied all wrongdoing, but has shifted all blame on me, the patient, refuses any payout in damages, only offers a refund if I sign a legal waiver for my permanent silence, and has threatened me for calling their offices, or becoming frustrated over their repeated stonewalling, disrespect, permanent injury, gaslighting, threats, lack of accountability, patient blame, and more. This company is ghastly! I have records, audio recordings of their own admissions of guilt, proof of their cover-ups and lies, evidence that they skew eye exam results, and testimonies from several doctors that the damage is due to their own negligence, incompetence, and surgical error. Yet they refuse to accept any wrongdoing. Such horrendous results and permanent damage were not part of the deal. Beware of this company, do not get surgery here! Had a 2pm appt, got there 10 min early and filled out paperwork. Gave the paperwork back to the receptionist then sat down and waited....and waited.... for almost an hour. EVERY person that came in after me got to see someone within 10 minutes. After the 5th or 6th person walked by me going to see a dr., seemingly in some sort of express lane, I finally thought F this and got up to leave. I feel like they must have had something against me personally-EVERY. OTHER. PATIENT. WAS. SEEN. WITHIN. 10. MINUTES. Let me share with you straight away, after my first appointment with Dr. Shah, I knew she was the right doctor for me. She was confident, relaxed, informative and reassuring. She is brilliant I knew I was in good hands! The Day of Surgery I had my first surgery on my left eye July 27, 2023 and my second surgery for my right eye was on August 24, 2023 The surgery was simple, fast, and stress-free. After surgery .. my vision was dramatically improved. I will still have a astigmatism, which will make glasses necessary for me but, WOW! What a difference this surgery has made in my life. Thank you, Dr. Shah I'm forever grateful these surgeries they have been a game changer for me. But most importantly, I'm grateful that she was able to return the eyesight in my left eye. I'm over the moon great experience great personal and service. I don't see how their could be any better.

First because of miscommunication between B&B local and Louisville offices my cataract surgery was delayed for weeks resulting in my having to schedule two pre-op visits to my primary care doctor (at my expense.). Secondly after my No Drop surgery I have suffered with major floaters. The B&B communication said such floaters would last 24-48 hours. Mine have been continual since Monday. Yesterday someone at B&B admitted that the No a Drop surgery can cause floaters for WEEKS in some individuals. I wish I had known that! I have since requested regular cataract surgery using drops before and after surgery. I have no guarantee that the floaters will resolve themselves. I may need additional surgery to have them removed. I will go elsewhere for this .I have very little trust in B&B at this point and would never recommend them! read more

Very displeased with the customer service from Bennett and Bloom in Florence,Ky. I have an upcoming cataract surgery. Everything was fine until an employee named Hope started calling my wife demanding I prepay for my co pay and the "estimated" 30 percent I will owe as well. Not sure why she didnt attempt to contact me since I'm the one having the surgery. I contacted my insurance company and they instructed me to pay the day of the surgery and to pay no more than what the co pay is. But Hope kept calling my wife demanding I pay upfront a couple weeks ahead of the surgery. I contacted my insurance company again stating I'm feeling harassed at this point. My insurance company put me on a 3 way call which I thought was with Bennett and Bloom in Florence. But it must have been the surgery center we spoke with in that 3 way call because they were extremely polite and professional. They stated they have no problem with me paying the day of the surgery. I then contacted Hope at the Florence location after the 3 way call with the surgery center and she was still demanding I pay up front. Stating it's their policy because so many patients dont pay their bill's. Hope then transferred my call to the office manager at the Florence location (name unknown). I requested to cancel my upcoming appointments including my surgery appointment. She replied that she would take care of it and cancel my up coming surgery and follow up appointments. Well today....4 days later the surgery center called about my upcoming surgery. Obviously the office manager did not cancel anything. I feel as if I am being given the run around and will not be returning to Bennet and Bloom ever! I will contact the Cinicnnati Eye Institute for my cataract surgery. read more

I recently had cataract surgery by Dr. Patel at Bennett & Bloom. The entire experience was A+++! All of my appointments were on-time and the office staff was professional and courteous. But the main reason I'm writing this review is to highly recommend Dr. Patel. From the start she was very competent and answered all of my questions so I could make the best decision on which option was best for me. She didn't try and push me in any direction. She gave the information i needed in layman's terms and I felt very sure of my choices. I have never had any type of surgery before but I was not the least bit nervous about the procedure because I had so much confidence in her. The surgery was a resounding success and even gave me great vision in an eye with amblyopia that I've had all my life. Again, if you need surgery to correct cataracts, I can't say enough good about Dr. Patel and the whole office staff and operations at Bennett & Bloom. They are the best! read more
