Service was good. Had a good cook (Nathan) very nice and funny but he put way To much salt on all The food. Everything was super salty. I was actually suprised how little of food I got for a 40$ meal. read more

This is a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. This was my first time eating in a Benihana restaurant and they exceed my expectations. The staff was very professional and made the experience a memorable one. I must say it is an odd location pretty far away from the normal busy cities like Palm Beach o Ft. Lauderdale, but the view alone of this place made it totally worth it. If you planning to make a reservation please do it during the sunset time, it is beautiful. Inside of the restaurant could be more lighting but that is beside the point. The food was great and service even better. read more

Don't bother going if you are a vegan/vegetarian, they do not offer a vegetable hibachi. I have been to many hibachi's and was served a fantastic vegan cooked meal, but this hibachi has no accommodations for an alternative diet. So it would be no stars if that was an option. read more

I went here 12/25 to have dinner. I've been here 4 times before with out any issues. I expected the same quality of service I've become accustomed to. The chef who made my food was really nice and friendly. The server however was distracted and not very attentive. She didn't ask if I wanted to refill my drink. My daughter ordered tea and asked the server for sugar and the server completely forgot so my 6 year old started pitching a fit because her tea was "disgusting". The table we sat at was in a corner and the wall was extremely dirty/dusty. I had to keep my 1 year old occupied so she wouldn't touch the wall and the booster seat they brought over for her was sticky. My significant other who is a disabled veteran and suffers from PTSD was over the whole situation and ready to leave. I had to wait 15 minutes before I could get the check and then another 5 for it to be cashed out. For the amount of money spent The whole situation was stressful and uncomfortable and we will sadly not be going back. read more

My husband and I come here at least once a week for the happy hour. We have never had the hibachi upstairs but we really love the happy hour. Great deal for really good sushi and great service. read more

I've been to this location several times in the past but the place has officially gone down hill. The soup, ginger dressing and taste of the food were ok but they weren't what they used to be. Not to mention that as we sat down to eat there was a huge roach just outside the window...and if they are on the outside then you know they are in there too. For a meal over 100$ I'd expect it to be better. read more

Service slow, trainee on board. Ask for plum wine that never came. Sashimi was absolutely terrible except the salmon. Rice came almost after meal finished. My two friends feel the same. Won't be back! read more

The staff was friendly and of course fun. Went for the lunch special. Would have been better if we could have picked our table-mates. Why go to see a show, and only stare at your phones??? Wow, how rude!! read more

Benihana's one of the best places to get hibachi in my book along with samurai. The only problem today was the lack of enthusiasm from the chef. Though the food was delicious I still didn't feel pleased. The best chefs in my book are ones that make you laugh and interact with you. The best part for me was watching him clean. Although he did the rice heart and onion volcano(my favorite part) he still didn't make me say, "wow that was the best chef I ever had!!" read more

Not too concerned with the food. Most habachi grill steakhouses all serve the same food with the same tricks by the chefs. Funny though, all of the cooks were Mexican; Hector, Felipe, etc. and they did a great job! The ambiance of Benihana's has gone to crap. The famous Japanese garden behind the restaurant has been butchered by amateur landscape maintained companies. What a shame. The garden was probably one of the best parts of the experience and now it looks like just a bunch is over-sheared, boxed hedges and mounds of weeds. Too bad. Could be a great feature if they hired a decent gardener. read more

I used to enjoy going here to eat, but after awhile I noticed their prices going up and the quantities getting smaller and smaller. Then I noticed the complementary shrimp appartizer was taken off the menu. The prices now are way too high for what you get. read more

Food was very good, came with my wife, daughter and grand daughter. Was disappointed with the chef, didn't show any enthusiasm or interaction with the diners at our table. read more

How could Benihana get rid of the white sauce used during hibachi, Ive been to hibachi style restaurants all over this country and with every hibachi meal you get a ginger sauce generally brown and a creamy white sauce, but in chain like restaurant fashion such and Benihana lets replace what Delicious and people like with something cheaper and mediocre at best which is now a watery mustard base sauce that does not enhance the food at all. What a good manager would have done was to be sure to have some white sauce in the kitchen in case of a request by a customer but no was told they have non what so ever. Word to the wise Benihana don't try to reinvent the wheel stick with whats good even if its cost a little extra your customers happy with pay it forward read more

I like the location of the restaurant. Beautiful place. Great if your going out for a special occasion. Not a fan of the hostess I encountered. She made my group feel inferior, but that might be because we are young and they don't feel the need to try and impress us. The show is really great. I enjoyed the waiter we had and the food was good. Especially the rice. I had the Fillet Mignon and scallops which was good but the portion size was small but filling. read more

What's the big deal? Could never figure out why the parking lot is always full. Very mediocre, overpriced food ....save your money. I mean how many times can you watch the non-Japanese cooks flip a shrimp onto their hat?? read more

It seems the place is slipping a bit. They use to take a photo on your birthday or special occasions and they didn't last night. Also the last few times we went, there is a terrible smell on the top of the stairs near the bathrooms. Also, the gardens use to be pretty, not anymore. Wish hey could get back to what made it great years ago. read more

Food was OK not Great. Servers were courteous and hard-working. Issue was my wife smelled an odor and then we realized it was the carpet which had a lot of mold in it. If you are allergic to mold and Smell while you eat this is not the place you want to be read more

It was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Came here for a birthday dinner (not mine, lol) and was informed that we had to wait for our table to be ready in fifteen minutes which we were fine with because my guests and I headed towards the bar. This part I just wanted to complain a little. There weren't that many people at the bar and the bartender who was working behind the counter looked flustered, like he had so many orders to finish and this is the first time that I had to wait for a long time to place a drink order. I mean, really. I asked for an order twice and it never came with my drink so then I just ordered it when we were seated at the table. The waitress was friendly and had a bubbly personality. We were well taken care of and the food was surprisingly good. The fried rice is not phenomenal but it's flavorful and it's nothing but fried rice. The chef was attentive to our orders and the way we wanted our meats to be cooked on the teppan table. They were closing up towards the end and I noticed that my guests and I were the last, aside from the staff and chef, in the restaurant but the staff let us take our time to finish eating and packing which I felt was respectful and sweet. My order consisted of the Emperor's Salad with additional steak pieces. The salad comes in a large elongated bowl with lettuce, fresh avocado, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots, raw onions, tomatoes (sliced like a four-petaled flower), grapefruit, and broccoli. This salad looks so much better than the standard salad that they serve you with the mushroom clear soup. With the salad, I was supposed to get an onion soup, shrimp appetizer, choice of brown, white, or fried rice, and hot Japanese green tea. The only thing that I didn't get from this was the onion soup unless it was the clear, mushroom soup then it sucked because there wasn't any onions in it. The steak was well cooked: rare; tender, juicy, and chewy. Really good. It is really just like any other hibachi/teppan restaurant. Nothing special, you're not missing much, to be honest however the decorations, interior design, and artwork hanging all around the restaurant is well done. read more

I know, Benihana. But C'mon! I haven't ever had a terrible time here ever. Good drinks, proper food, good sake selection. Lobster cooked perfect and people love being here. Entertaining, hot since you're sitting at the grill and sensitive the alt. eating styles (no land food). Not the greatest creations I have eaten but cooked expertly and they are quick with the drinks. Sometimes it's fun to sit with strangers and have some pops and food. read more

Has been my favorite for many years but we had a reservation for a family meal on Christmas day and it was a bomb. Rice and no mustard sauce were the main problems. The rice had no taste. Maybe it's because of the lack of garlic butter sauce, but it just had no taste. And whatever you replaced The Mustard sauce with is lacking in taste. There were eight of us and several complained of a queasy stomach after we left the restaurant. I don't believe that I will ever eat there again. What a shame and you would think that a meal costing over $300 would at least be edible. I brought more than half of mine home and I'm now trying to decide whether to try it again or throw it out. We had seven orders of filet mignon and one of fish. Want to drive a business out of business, make the choices somebody did and changing the Spices And people will stop coming quickly. I am sorry to lose you. I have lived here for 30 years and enjoyed every bite until yesterday. read more

I have enjoyed Benihana for many years. The restaurant was recently remodeled and it looks great! Fabulous views and the location couldn't be better. The soup and salad is one of the best. Tender steak, juicy chicken and great seafood. Great for sushi too. What more could anyone want? read more

Eating in is really good but ordering to go sucks! Waited over a hr for 3 fried rice and 2 shrimp tempura and they ended up giving me the wrong food read more

Very disappointed. While on a mini-getaway in Hutchinson Island, my partner and I decided to order Benihana to-go for dinner. I ordered the hibachi steak (no mushrooms, because I am allergic) and my partner ordered the shrimp lovers sushi roll. It was very busy that evening, so we sat at the bar until our order was ready. The lady attending the bar that night was NOT welcoming, in fact, she was quite stern with everyone who sat at the bar that evening. After 15 minutes, my partner and I decided to stand near the entrance and wait for our food because we couldn't take seeing the bartender treat guest in the manner she did. Once our food arrived, the host gave us our food and rushed us out the door. He didn't go over our order like most Benihana restaurants do. When we got back to our hotel, my hibachi steak was covered in mushrooms. Are you kidding me? I told him several times that I was allergic to mushrooms! What if I had eaten the steak? This would have been a totally different review! I was left to eat the bland, flavorless rice. Yuck. I've never tasted such awful fried rice. I spent over $45 for a meal that I could not eat. I've been calling the restaurant since that day and I have yet to hear back from a manager. When visiting Hutchinson Island again, I will scratch this location off my list of places to dine. I am so disappointed! read more

WHAT HAPPENED to this fantastic restaurant? Half the excitement was the show the chefs put on. The chefs were boring and uninvolved with the dinner guests. The food was greasy. I can't tell you how epically disappointed we were. read more

This use to be my favorite go-to sushi place however I have been disappointed every time I go. I usually sit downstairs for happy hour and receive the worst service I've even had. Even on nights where there's only two tables down here, I still have to wait 20 minutes for my water. If you plan on coming here, I highly suggest going upstairs where they cook in front of you. It's worth the wait and a fun experience to watch your food be cooked right in front of you! I recommend the filet mignon dinner, it's quite delicious and comes with rice, salad, shrimp and veggies. Overall advice: Go upstairs!!!! read more

We had an excellent dinner. Handicap parking was limited and no one would come to open the door but we realized it was unlocked and just entered. It was our first visit to a Benihana so we enjoyed the chef show. The food was good but not worthy of the price. I doubt we'll return solely on the price. Service was great. I enjoyed the sushi plate. 1 star gone for the price and another on the handicap parking and restaurant entrance. read more

It is what it is, hokey and touristy, but the kids love the place and I have to admit that I really love the hibachi shrimp and fillet! We have been at least 25 times over the past 10 years and always enjoy our meal. Great sunset view and fun for large groups. read more

We have been going to the location in Scottsdale Arizona for many years. We have always had a wonderful time there with customer service being excellent. Sadly, last night at this location we had a terrible time. Our chef was not very personable and our waitress brought us to go boxes as soon as we got our meal. We felt rushed. Before we even finished our dinner she came to ask also if we would like dessert. The restaurant was not very busy so it was not as if they needed our table right away. There were many empty tables there. It was a disappointment because it was the first time one of our granddaughters had ever been there. We promised her we would take her to the location and Scottsdale when we got back to Arizona. We will not be wasting our money at this location again. read more

The atmosphere is amazing here. I have been very lucky to have always gotten a funny cook. They are very attentive to allergies and even have asked the table several times before cooking if any one had allergies. The cooks here are great with kids as well. Love this place. read more

My family came here Saturday night as a party of six to celebrate my MBA graduation! This was my first time at a Benihana. I mentioned in the Open Table reservation that it was a first time visit and that we were celebrating. This led to us getting [what I thought was] the best table in the house. We were on the second floor right in front of the center window overlooking the water. We got to see a beautiful sunset! We liked how there were so many different options to choose from, but most of us ended up getting the Filet since we saw it at a nearby table and it looked delicious. Our chef was Byron and he had the perfect amount of humor for a group. He really made the night more of an event, rather than just dinner. Everyone loved their meals and only a couple of us were smart enough to save some for leftovers, rather than stuff ourselves. The waitress took our picture at the end of the night and had it printed out for us to take home, which was a sweet sentiment. While it is pricey, we would definitely come back for another special event! Pro Tip - dress warm, as the place it kept freezing in order to compensate for the hot grills! read more

We had reservation on 8pm get there on time but waited other almost 30 mins to get our table. We were kind of mad but the manager apologized and send us starting plate free of charge. Hibachi is everywhere same. Anywhere u go same tricks same style. But not everywhere the food is good. He is one of the Hibachi where the food was good. Tasty nicely cook. Little slow u get food a part but well ok. It was good time there. I had about 7 refills for drink and the waiter tried to over look me so he dont have to get me other drink read more

This is a pretty neat restaurant. It's amazing on the first and second visit, but then it just becomes a normal fancy restaurant. The teriyaki steak is definitely my favorite and I totally recommend it. If you decide to eat upstairs, you get to watch your food be made right in front of you. It's a pretty pleasant experience, but keep in mind you would most likely need a reservation and it is quite expensive. Overall, this a great place to try out, especially for celebrations and parties. read more

Enjoyed the food, everything was fresh and tasted good. Chef was good at listening to custom orders. Only downside would be they had the tables crammed so close together I had to get up a couple of times to alloy the chef egress. Typical atmosphere you would expect at a Japanese hibachi style restaurant. read more

Surprisingly vegan friendly. We had tofu hibachi with vegetable fried rice (without egg) and stir fried veggies. Without asking, they cooked the vegan food first to avoid cross contamination, and they knew to use safflower oil instead of butter. The ginger sauce is also vegan, as well as the ginger salad and miso soup. read more

Don't ask for Armando! He's a complete rude asshole! They specifically requested him and we got very Bad service from him. He was totally dismissive on any requests! I'm a pescatarian and he didn't give a hoot about it. My family ordered extra rice portions and he barely filled the portion and added the chicken and then Just made fun of me not wanting more protein (chicken) in my rice! What disappoints me most is that I'm on vacation visiting my family and they always come here.. My family complained when I went to the bathroom and Manager comped my meal but that doesn't take away the crappy experience we had when we are celebrating my mom's birthday. I think it's better to just not have hibachi if you don't eat meat or chicken. read more

Alright, so I came for my Friends birthday celebration today. Soooo much better service and more show. The guy we had was 10000x better than the girl who did my birthday last October, who was terrible. First time in my life I will say a woman does NOT belong in the kitchen. read more

The hibachi part was good and very entertaining...the other party at the table had many specifics which seemed to have been accommodated. Our waitress was a bit rude and seemed like she had somewhere else she'd rather be. I didn't even have time to look the menu over as she was in a rush. Why I'm giving only one star... check your bill carefully!!! My husband took me for my birthday and doesn't mind spending a bit of money for the occasion... when we got home I was looking at the bill (which we probably should have been more attentive with at the restaurant so partly our fault)... but gratuity was already added to our bill, not realizing that...we tipped on top of that...so our server made and extra $30 from us..it's a shame that guests are taken advantage of like that.. we work very hard for our money... so lesson learned... just check your bill so you don't get scammed like we did.. read more
