We Decided to invite our friends from out of town to dinner, we made the mistake of Benihana. I have always enjoyed hibachi but tonight $135 meal should've been free, after I gave the manager the roach I killed. It was small for a roach but any bug is unacceptable. I'll add a photo, you can decide if it's ok to be alive on the dinner tables... Not sure why they charged us, but I guess this is a $135 review. Seems like they would do something to make it right but that's what the internet is for... Usually I would deal with a major issue like this at the time, but with friends traveling from far away. I thought giving the dead bug to the manager would be enough, but she just said I'll give it to our pest control person and gave us a bill. Wtf read more

Even the walls were dirty and scuffed up. I took a peek inside the kitchen and wished that I hadn't. And if this is a Japanese restaurant why weren't there any Asian chef's? Dinner for 2 adults (hibachi steak) with two beers and one mixed drink was over $110.00 (tip not included). But... we we waited 30 mins to sit and an additional 30 minutes to order. Which meant from the time we walked in to the time the hibachi had ended it had been over 2 hours. Benihana is now also charging 7 dollars EXTRA for fried rice (that they cook at the hibachi table). Being in Florida coming from Pennsylvania is a joy and a terror. Social distancing seems to be a novelty that you rarely see. It is no difference in the Benihana. I had a lunch reservation. On a Thursday and it appears there was a graduation, I felt like I was in an elevator in New York. It was almost standing room only at the entrance. People warring masks, more for fashion then prevention. I don't think they know how far six feet is, perhaps they are thinking in inches, or most likely not thinking. I am curious to get to the dining area to see what the crowd is like and what social distancing looks like in this. The table was a good distance from the hoard . The service was slow but good. A while after that, some drinks arrived.....No wine, no Saki. Another wait. Granted....the waitress was slammed, and I don't remember seeing another one in the entire FULL room. THAT I blame on Management, I don't believe there were any more then 2 chefs....maybe 3, but I don't think so. Then ANOTHER LONG wait while they did all the other tables. I won't even go into the check mess. There was a check with 4, a check with 5 and us, 2. Ours was screwed up totally, but we let it go, because the others at the table were family. The biggest issue I have with this restaurant is that you will get seated with random people and you have no choice or privacy. I was being treated to a very expensive celebratory dinner by my friend. There were four of us. A man and his party of four randomly walked in that we had an altercation with over New Years, and they proceeded to sit him and his party at our table without asking, causing for the most uncomfortable dinner experience I've ever had in my life. Imagine being forced to have dinner with someone you literally had a fight with. You will here, so get ready to feel awkward. On top of that, the food was mediocre for the price. I've been to hibachi before with much more offerings. The best thing about it was the view. The chef threw fish on my plate when I said no and I had to scream I was allergic. DON'T TRY THE SUSHI...Our server (Lulu?) was very warm and welcoming in spite of seeming to be by herself waiting tables AND running the bar too. She did a great job. While visiting my brother we went to have lunch. Our server wasn't the best, but our chef was! Ariel interacted with all of us and did a great show for the table. We were a group of six and were sat down with an older couple who were also very nice. Every person at the table loved everything that was ordered. I ordered a chili shrimp roll and it's super good.
