This is one of those places that I am devastated to find out has been within minutes of my house for years. Went in on a Wednesday morning around 9 am with a friend. We sat outside and we're helped by two friendly servers throughout our stay. I appreciated the service so much. The food was great as well. The home fries were nothing too special, but the Classic Benedict made perfect sense of their name. Perfectly poached eggs, and although I am not a huge fan of hollandaise sauce and would typically ask for it on the side, I'm glad I did not at Benedict's! It was a great meal and a great portion. The fruit side was disappointing because it was full of melon, but a few blueberries and grapes were all I needed anyway after a large carb serving. My friend got a side of the homemade coconut pineapple "bread" which was very moist and flavorful! You definitely get the small, beach-side town vibe from this place. The price range is average. I wish it wasn't in a strip mall, but of course, service and food make up for it! I will surely return here when I'm home for the holidays again! read more

We love Benedicts in Palm Harbor. I'm so glad they moved to the larger spot. Minimal waiting. Food is great. This is a great breakfast spot. There were 5 of us that came here on a Sunday morning and they cleared a table for us within 5 minutes. We sat in the back and could see the small window where the waiters and waitresses were picking up the food. We thought it seemed like a very small area but they made it work. I ordered chocolate chips pancakes. They were delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and always had a smile on her face. Next time I'm in town visiting I would definitely come back here again! We came in for breakfast. Benedict's right? Well we ordered strawberry French toast, bacon eggs and coffee. My friend asked for her English muffin to be burnt. They managed to mix up literally everything on the order. OK that happens. Then they billed us for other items we didn't order or receive, adding a significant amount to the check. OK mistakes happen. The manager or owner came over and finally corrected the issue. No apology. In fact we were treated like it was our fault. The food was ok. Not great. The service has been described, I hate to judge from one visit. Just not sure if we would ever come back to this place. read more

Important Note: This restaurant has undergone ownership changes in the last few months. I used to think of it as an outdated, elderly, beach-side diner with average food. NOW it is a different story! Benedict's serves up a superb breakfast with a very friendly staff. As the name suggests there are about 5-7 benedict selections. The Florentine is great! The also have amazing omelettes, skillets, and just about any breakfast or lunch food you could want. The homefries are red potatoes and I would have preferred them smaller and crispier, but they were still tasty as is. Prices are a smidge higher than other nearby breakfast restaurants, but ever since the reno and new owners it is clean and well kept. But the best part, they have gelato! I just took my family here for breakfast, our first time eating here also. The service was good and our server was great. She came over several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great I had the meat lovers omelette and my kids had pancakes and waffles and no complaints here. I recommend this place to anyone in the area. My husband and I go out to breakfast at least twice a week. This one of our top go to places. I love the quiches which come with fruit and sweet breakfast bread. Many choices of the quiches and of the bread. The omelettes are huge and delicious. And yes they have assorted types of Benedicts. After the first time, we were there the staff knew our drink order. Just found this place. Very nice and clean and food is delicious with huge portions. Acoustics fine and you can carry on conversation without the place being too loud. Our waitress, Theresa was very attentive and always checking to refill our coffee or if we needed anything. They have counter seating and I would highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. We've loved going to Benedict's on Dunedin Causeway for breakfast. They are very dog friendly too. But, we went today ate outside but we're very disappointed. The the servers were not wearing masks. The best thing about our brunch for four on Saturday was the bloody Mary. Eggs benedict arrived with one egg broken, the other yolk hard, and food lukewarm. The Greek salad was not Greek. It was iceberg lettuce with a few feta crumbles and two olives. Our server, (dark haired female with a pony tail (Tina?), was 1 on a scale of 1 to 10, earning the 1 for taking our order and putting food on the table. She did sit at the front counter looking out at the parking lot while water glasses and coffee cups sat empty and dirty plates cluttered the table. We paid the check and left a generous tip. She walked by, paused only to pick up the check tray, and didn't say thank you or goodbye. Very unhospitable. If I could leave more stars, I would. Wow- we were incredibly surprised and pleased with our first experience here. We were greeted immediately upon entrance and sat towards the back. Our waitress was very nice and gave us plenty of time to review the large menu. I order the artichoke and spinach quiche which came with homemade bread and fruit. Out of this world good!! I have been eating at Benedict's about 5 times a week for the last month or so. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have not found anything that I don't like or would not order again. The staff is friendly and very efficient. Very short wait to get the food and they are very prompt at refilling drinks and making adjustments to the order. We found this place on yelp and what a yummy treat! We don't go out for breakfast alot but when we do we go to a place in our hometown (Middleton Wi) that is locally owned and operated and we are totally spoiled with it! Benedicts is a lovely home away from home breakfast stop! My all time favorite benedict is "crabby bene" and i can never find it but Benedicts had it today for me!! WOW! THE best I've ever had!! My husband is a pancake...french toast fan and can never decide so he had one of each and LOVED them both! The coffee was fantastic as well and the side of fresh fruit was perfect! The staff was extremely friendly and the place was obviously filled with locals. We will definitely return if ever back in the Dunedin area again.
