We had a wonderful brunch experience at First Watch in Countryside. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. We were a party of five with three adults and two kids, had no wait at all, and were seated right away in a comfy booth, which made it even more enjoyable. The coffee was hot, smooth, and delicious, and we loved learning about the inspiring Project Sunrise story behind where it comes from. It really adds meaning to that first cup and shows how thoughtful First Watch is about what they serve. We started with the freshly baked mini buttermilk biscuits sprinkled with sugar and served with salted honey butter and warm mixed berry compote. Absolutely delicious and the perfect way to kick things off. For the kids, we ordered two meals. One was the chocolate chip pancake, which was a huge portion and came with fresh fruit including pineapple, grapes, and blackberries. The other was over easy eggs with Million Dollar Bacon and a half waffle. Both kids cleaned their plates and were very happy. For the adults, we ordered two Avocado Toasts made with thick-cut whole grain artisan toast, fresh smashed avocado, EVOO, lemon, Maldon sea salt, and two perfectly basted cage-free eggs. Fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. We also had the Morning Market Veg Omelet made with house-roasted zucchini, crimini mushrooms, shallots, kale, and tomatoes, finished with goat cheese and fresh herbs. It was served with lemon-dressed organic mixed greens and whole grain artisan toast and was absolutely delicious. Between the great food, welcoming atmosphere, comfortable seating, and outstanding service, this was a fantastic experience for both adults and kids. Went here with my wife and a recently widowed friend. We meet at a Tuesday Bible study and sometimes have lunch afterward. This time we were in the mood for Brunch, mostly. We were seated right away, brought menus and waters & coffee. We browsed the menu, but I already knew what I wanted. They make wonderful Eggs Benedict My wife ordered the Baja Turkey Burger, our friend ordered Multigrain Blueberry Pancakes, and I ordered my Classic Eggs Benedict. We chatted for a short bit and our dishes came. The pancakes were delicious. My Benedict was wonderful, as always. My wife's Burger was excellent but huge, so half went home with her. Even though it was busy at this time, about noon, it was quiet and easy to have a conversation. Service was great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was terrific. Great menu with lots of organic choices! Nice decor and clean. Our server was attentive and fulfilled requests and modifications to our meal choices. My husband and I often order grits while on vacation since we don't get them back home. Their grits had a lemon undertone. Not overpowering, but it took away from the fact they are grits. This is a great place for a pretty quick and casual meal for breakfast all day, or a good lunch. The salads are really good , I always end up with enough left over for a second meal. There are a lot of hard surfaces so it can be noisy when busy. Service is hit and miss depending on who is working. You pay as you leave here, not at the table. The coffee was so awful that I asked for a refund, and they refused to handle it properly. It's disappointing because the waitress was genuinely kind -- if it were just about her, I'd come back. Always enjoy. You can order breakfast anytime, a big plus. I've had a number of different items, I particularly recommend the breakfast tacos. My husband always gets lunch and orders the roast beef and havarti sandwich. It's not huge but the RB is always rare and the cheese melty, very nice. I often order a special and the other day it was berry French toast with creme anglaise and some sort of custard. It was delicious but halfway through I started avoiding the filling, it was just too rich. If you order coffee, they fill your mugs and leave the rest of the pot on the table, but there's hardly anything left in the pot so we have to ask for more anyway. read more

I've been too many first watch locations. I've been to this first watch location on several locations as well. The atmosphere here is so different from the other locations as the staff displays themselves as though they can't stand their jobs. We had breakfast here recently, and after we were seated, nobody was acknowledging us, but they were passing by without making eye contact. We stopped one of them to ask who our waiter or waitress was, and they seemed irritated. We waited longer and asked again as we just wanted water or coffee while we wait. Our waitress finally showed up and she was less than pleasant. Our breakfast took forever to get to our table and our waitress never came back to ask us if we'd like refills for our drinks. We ordered simple, basic egg, and bacon and potato breakfast. How hard does it get for the basic breakfast? Our breakfast finally came out, and my boyfriend's eggs were cold. Our toast was cold and the rest of our meal lukewarm. We let our waitress know and instead of offering to fix it she said they were short staffed today and short to cook. We understand, but she should've done something to make this right. She seemed annoyed that we even brought the fact that our breakfast was cold. We went to check out at the front and the woman of the cashier couldn't make eye contact, instead she just kept folding napkins while ringing us up. If you can't take the heat, don't take it out on your customers. There are many other great places for breakfast which we will be choosing next time. read more

When she came back I ordered the morning meditation and she gave us some time to decide what we wanted to order off the menu. I ordered the tri-fecta sub side potatoes, I got to choose from Belgian waffle or one plain pancake to chocolate chip, blue berry , carrot cake or banana granola almond crunch. So I chose the banana granola almond crunch and it was sooo delicious; it reminded me of my Lola's (grandma's ) baking. She always use to make me banana nut bread. My friend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and she said they had hints of lemon in it, very light and was delicious. A quality breakfast spot! The coffee comes to the table hot (something that seems to be a problem for many Florida breakfast spots). They leave an insulated pot so you can serve yourself and do not have to wait for somebody to notice you need another. Very good coffee, and I'm fussy about that. Home fries are really home fries, not some potatoes deep fried for a minute and then kept warm until you came in. Got the chickichanga (chimichanga with chicken) which was excellent. Menu descriptions are very detailed and clear in a large menu with many choices to cover most any food preference. Service was prompt, professional, polite and efficient. Multi flavors of half and half on the table. I prefer fresh half and half out of the refrigerator to those little plastic things full of preservatives so they don't need to be refrigerated. I didn't ask for it but I bet they would have had it if I did. Prices were the same as most breakfast places, maybe a little lower considering what you get. My server was Chris and he managed to be there at all the right times and never at the wrong ones, a pro. It wasn't busy when I came in but I bet they keep up the service level when it is. No negatives. First time here. We arrived at Hot Pot too early so came here for some food. We waited no more than 5 minutes - not bad for a Saturday, around 12:30pm visit. Our server arrived quickly which is an extra plus for me, because I'm very impatient. My wife ordered the Farmhouse (?) - I don't recall seeing this on the menu but I'm not going to argue with her being she's right next to me as I type. She loved it and I don't recall her putting hot sauce on it which is a good sign. I ordered the Honey Bacon Brussels Hash without the spice. Our server informed me that it was spicy before ordering and gave me the option to "remove the spice". I'm spicy enough without spice in my food. My hash was excellent. Just the right amount of flavors and the goat cheese gave it an extra edge. Not too sweet, not too "eggy". LOVED it! Also, we ordered the Morning Meditation fresh juice which has orange, organic ginger, agave, turmeric and beet juice in it. I wondered if I would like it since chooses with ginger, and it usually are too overbearing, but this was perfect. Like the hash the flavors seemed balance very well. Stopped in here for breakfast the other day, but given that it was a Saturday morning it was quite packed and very loud. We got there before 9:30 which was near perfect timing; we were seated right away, but a waiting line quickly formed before we even had gotten our drinks. Our server was quick but didn't check in on us too much. I ordered the sunrise granola bowl which had Greek yogurt, granola, and large pieces of fruit like cantaloupe, pineapple, and melon, plus it came with a muffin. The bowl was tasty & filled me so I didn't even try the muffin. We split a side order of bacon, which was right in between chewy and crispy, and my boyfriend got the Floridian French toast. It wasn't warm when he got it, the berries weren't quite ripe yet, and the maple syrup wasn't thick & seemed very watered down. The portion was quite big though. The server drops the check at your table but you pay at the front counter. First, the value here is not the best. A salad and eggs Benedict with one soda was almost $50. In a scratch made kitchen that may make sense, but most of the food was not that. The pecan salad had maybe 2-3 ounces of chicken, it wasn't freshly cooked. It as swimming in a fairly good dressing, just way too much of it. The side of potatoes was just about as good as the frozen potatoes that I pick up at Winn Dixie All in all just average overpriced brunch. They have great options for kids and are very family friendly. Things that are great: Pancakes Tomato Basil Soup Italian Wedding Soup (my kids are fans!) Breakfast Hashes Salads Bacon!!! They also have great seasonal options. Only thing that doesn't blow my mind is the coffee, but I feel that way most places. First of all, WOW! This place is so spacious and wasn't too busy at around noon. I love the soft lighting and how the natural light comes through. Honestly this place looks like it would be on Pinterest. Our server was super nice, her name was. I wanted to try the quesadilla on their summer menu and she was so nice even though I wanted some things taken off! She was super patient and attentive to us. I can eat out with family and feel satisfied with my choices even while I watch them eat those scrumptious Lemon Ricotta pancakes. Oh! Life is not fair but I can always get some happy on at First Watch. Project Sunrise Coffee is a win win for a village run by women and their families and satisfies our American desire to drink coffee with a purpose. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed First Watch, my husband and I frequent this location. Everything is always so delicious and consistent. Their kale tonic is probably the biggest surprise, since it's extremely refreshing and sweet! Not what I'd expect from something with "kale" in the name. I've really never gone wrong here. My favorites are typically their egg skillets. And when I have more of a sweet tooth, the pancakes are amazing! Service is always excellent, and if you're a coffee drinker they'll plop the entire pot on the table. And it's good coffee too. They are really a brunch restaurant, so if you're not in the mood for breakfast food you can find sandwiches, soups, and salads. My mom's go-to is the chicken salad melt, which you have to eat with a knife and fork!
