This used to be a highly competent professionally run postal service. BUT they have changed…read moreownership. Under new ownership, prices are significantly higher and services are lackluster to borderline inefficient and incompetent. I would not recommend this business to anyone as it is these days and that is based on the lack of quality services in addition to exorbitant price gouging as surcharges. In February I took a flat rate priority mail envelope to this location for mailing. The post office rate a flat rate of $21, but the PC female employee , whose name I didn't get, described as having several facial piercings, short hair perhaps an African American, as I am, lied to me about their rates, she said that the USPO had increased its rates two days earlier and now the rate to mail the envelope to LA, California would cost me $36, reluctantly I mailed the envelope out of necessity. However, three days later I was at the main post office in Bend and inquired from the clerk, if there was a price hike and was assured there had not been. The truth is that the additional $16 was a Postal Connection surcharge at this particular postal connection. At their discretion they added $21 USPO flat rate postal envelope that I mailed. Naturally, I felt angry that I had been lied to, taken advantage of &the victim of a severe price gouge. Furthermore my envelope didn't reach its destination, and I had to file a claim with the post office. On 11/21 I returned to same postal connection to drop off USPO Amazon prepaid return. It turns off the same delay assisted and I told her of the mistake she made, she recalled our encounter and told me it was not her fault that is the price, then finally she admitted it was the surcharge for me using their business versus the USPO she became agitated saying It's not he fault that the rates are what they are! Finally, she admitted there's a new Owner and these are their new prices. While, I was complaining to her then there's a white male, blonde hair employee who was helping an elderly male at the counter in there about said OK we made a mistake, just take the card I was waiting to pay for a greeting card, and just leave! He so rude and obnoxious. I told him I don't want a free card, and I simply left the store. In my haste I neglected to get my receipt for dropping off the Amazon return. Needless to say, I returned to the store mention that the female had given it to me, I assured him she hadn't, although he did not ask her or check/verify. He said "I could just give you the package back cause I can't print out another receipt." I said ok took my package back and left' Bottom line I'm only one of several folks who've been going to this postal connection over the years. However at the point under its new ownership and outrageously unacceptable services, I will never go back! Word to the wise, do NOT use this business if you have something that you want to mail through the post office or UPS. You would do better to go directly the USPO or the UPS across the parking lot by Walmart, The up charge for Postal Connection at 61141 S Highway 97, Bend 97702 is so outrageously overpriced and the customer service is poor & highly unacceptable. I didn't mind when the price went from $.25 to $.50, I was paying for convenience. Today, I went to get something printed. I emailed the attachments (2 printing labels.) I was informed that the email address had changed and I was pointed to the new address. Then I was informed that it costs $2 to print a shipping label. I asked what a regular copy costs. "$.50" Look, this is their place, if they want to charge $100 to print a tax form that is their prerogative, but looking at what I want to print then deciding what to charge disgusts me. I hope charging 4x is worth it to the (possibly new) owners since they have lost all of my goodwill.

I…read morecan't speak for the other stores but the Century location has always had exceptional service, and I go there frequently. Only times I've seen lines out the door were during Covid distancing, holidays and the week after for returns. Even then they always staffed both registers. And it is unreasonable for people to be angry they don't accept non box holder packages. There literally is not room now that they take Amazon returns. Jenn in particular is fantastic and deserves a raise. I would have switched my mailbox to a more convenient store but she is friendly, funny, and runs the store like a boss.

So I walked up the counter and said "setting ready to gos down here" with a smile and no expectations of the cashier. She snapped, "you gotta wait in the line!!" For what?! Setting down ready to go packages, and bypassing the line, that don't need a receipt is absolutely common practice anywhere. Especially when there were about 6 people with untaped boxes, loose items, forms, bewildered expressions, the works, in the gigantic line. I left and will drop them at another UPS. Like I know they probably don't care about that lol, but given that these are independently owned stores, perhaps you'd want to run politely and efficiently. I can't recommend Jacki enough…read more I live several hours away from the person I needed to have served, so I was completely dependent on finding someone local who I could trust. I was also on a bit of a time crunch, and as soon as I called her, she jumped into action. She literally headed to the courthouse right away to help me get everything I needed. Even though we weren't able to serve the person on the first attempt, Jacki still went above and beyond. She looked up my case, helped me figure out what my options were, and even took my paperwork to the sheriff's office so they could continue attempting service. She absolutely did not have to do that, and it saved me so much time, stress, and another trip. She kept me updated throughout the whole process, answered every question I had, and was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. On top of that, her pricing was more than fair. If you need a process server in Central Oregon, call Jacki. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares as much as she does, and I'm so grateful I found her.

Every time I go into her store I feel like family, and she has personally gone out of her way to make shipping as easy as possible for me. In the past I have gone to the Post Office and had to buy a whole roll of tape, a whole pack of labels, and wait in a ridiculous line to get treated terribly by the Post Office staff. At Postal Connections there is literally tape for everyone to use for free, they print a label every time, and the staff are always extremely helpful. In my opinion the Redmond Postal Connections is a great reflection of the genuine niceness, authenticity, and warm local feel that you expect in Central Oregon.
