    Tequila!!

one of the best meals of my life, Benazuza is located in the hotel, and features a 20 course tasting menu. Trip Adviser rated it the 4th best restaurant in the world of 2019. Your adventure starts at the bar with a cocktail and some fun liquid nitrogen play. After a few courses there they move you to the table where the real party begins. One bite at a time they walk you through 20 courses wrapping up with a Jelly Lime and a shot of tequila. My dream is one day Yelp will take over all international reviews so I never have to look at the tripadvisor interface again :) If you are in Cancun, you HAVE to come here. Less than $100 for 22 courses? What a STEAL. I will say the highlight of the meal was in the first few courses, where they had you sit at a bar and taste deconstructed cocktails. One of them was their take on a mimosa and had a pear taking a bubble bath with pop rocks- I think my taste buds reached a whole new level of bougie. Savory dishes were good, and it's also a great opportunity to try Mayan cuisine. Downfall was definitely the desserts. Way too sweet for my liking :( Unfortunately I left most of them on the plate. Menu is seasonal but attached photos so you get a feel for what you'll be getting!

This is a very unique experience when it comes to dining! Definitely upscale, so get fancy and be ready for a full belly and fun experience. Make it a nice romantic one too. After we were greeted, we waited very shortly and were guided to the bar where our courses started. The beginning courses to a 20-course experience. I'm not kidding! Amazing! We started with a Cranberry foam with vodka which was like a vodka dessert! Then onto the whiskey sour, the foam tequila with a worm on the side, and something that was made with dry ice and it was amazing! So the worm was crunchy and on the side of the tequila. Very cool! This was all served one course at a time at the bar as they got our table ready. As we sat at our table, they started us with Moët Champagne. Then the courses kept coming. They come in very small portions that are bite size. I'm so glad they did. I was so full at the end! Having a gluten allergy, there was still a lot that I could eat! The displays of the food were so beautiful too. They made sure it looked just as good as it tasted. If you are near here, this is an experience you should try. It is worth it! The service was impeccable. The food was absolutely divine and I couldn't have for another thing in after!

This 5-star review is really for a 5-star restaurant. Benazuza has been voted the 5th best restaurant in the world, and deservedly so. It has also been voted the best restaurant in Cancun, and I agree. The Executive Chef, Rafael Zafra, worked with Ferran Adrià (from El Bulli) and is a star in his own right: he had 2 Michelin stars. The cuisine is best described as molecular gastronomy with Mexican flavors. Dinner consisted of a 20-course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing. Each course, from the incredibly creative drinks to the desserts was amazing. The description from the menu does not give you a hint at what you will receive on your plate. Photos of the food alone do not give you an idea of what each bite-sized morsel will taste like. This dinner is truly an experience. We dined here last year and could not wait to come back to Cancun as an excuse to have this experience again. The service and décor are impeccable as well. I won't name our servers because I want to praise all the staff, from the hostess, to the bartender, the waiters and Chef and kitchen staff. Bravo!

We stayed in a Sian Ka'an suite at Grand Oasis Sens for our fifth anniversary. A meal at Benazuza was included with our stay. My husband and I eat out...a lot. Maybe even too much. We both agreed that this was the best meal we have ever eaten. The service was impeccable. The dishes were innovative, beautiful, and above all delicious. Every bite deserved a picture and a discussion. It was also a romantic setting. Hopefully the Grand Oasis Sens gets their flooding issues under control, the only bad part of the night was walking through water to get to this amazing restaurant.

My husband and I came here as a recommendation from a friend. We were blown away! The service was unbelievable and the food was so delicious! We wanted more cocktails and multiple courses of the same thing!! The price is reasonable for what you get and the amazing service. Also the quality of ingredients are high end. However you need to eat dinner before or eat something after. My husband and I had sandwiches after because we were not filled up at all. You think 20 courses wow, no you will be hungry. The experience is something unique and different. Compared to other restaurants like Alinea, Next, or Grace in Chicago, you will pay $250 US -$350 per person for the same concept. This is extremely reasonable! I would highly recommend this place!! It was innovative and so cool!

This is not a restaurant, this is an experience! I've eaten as some really fabulous places in Cancun over the years but this one tops the list. Foodies will truly enjoy it. The menu is set and I don't believe they allow substitutions, but trust me, TRUST the chef. The pairing combinations were unexpected but came together beautifully. Our dinner lasted 3+ hours and we loved every minute.

Hunnie and I came here to enjoy dinner for Christmas Eve. We made reservations for 9:15 and were accommodated immediately as soon as we got to the entrance. The service was excellent and the food was good. We were served 13 courses and by the time we were done to the last plate which was dessert , I was so full that I only took a few bites here and there. Presentation of food was superb. Their pre- dessert was lemon & mint nitro foam which was interesting course. The only thing I don't like about this resto, is the restroom is outside by the lobby. And don't ask just any other hotel crew because this person I asked was leading me outside by the pool and I was like no way I was going out there by myself so I went back quickly into the hotel lobby and asked a different hotel worker which led me to the restroom close by. Be careful and be smart. Don't just follow anyone. See pics for the dinner.

My wife picked this Benazuza for our Anniversary dinner in Cancun . I could not be any happier with the food and awesome service. They specialize in bringing the Mexican culture into their food and they did amazing way of demonstrating just that. Go in for the experience you won't regret it!

Wow... just wow.... What an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! You first attend the bar that serves you 5 creative cocktails, one including liquid nitrogen (that's always a good time). Then you are brought to your table that is nicely lit in the center, highlighting all the 20 courses you are about to devour. You are served more creative appetizers including a martini and popcorn that LOOK like a martini and popcorn but aren't..(!!!!), a tostada that has grasshopper in it (but don't worry you don't see/taste it), truffle empanadas and moooreee !! Then you get a couple tapas (which were aight) but to the main courses..... o..m...g..... suhhh goooddd..!! We had Sea Bass that was served under a smokey dome, where the waiter would then remove the dome and reveal the delicious fish. My boyfriend doesn't even like cooked fish, but this was his favorite course! Then we got Pork Belly that was slow cooked for 36 hours... the flavors were nicely combined and delicious. And theeennn my favorite.. the Pink Mole Duck. One of the BEST duck I've ever had... cooked so perfectly and the flavor... MAGNIFICO! Then ended with 3 sets of desserts that satisfies your sweet tooth. One included a passion fruit with pate, that was served in a duck shape in a glass bathtub. Just so cute!! And with the bill, they give a rose to the lady, which is such a sweet touch! :') Without drinks, everything costs about $100 USD/per. And it's SOOOO WORTH IT!! This kind of experience in America is easily ~$300-$500. The service was divine. Almost like they're waiting for us to call them lol They come towards you as soon as you look at them lol (I'm exaggerating in a non- annoying way lol) but they really cater to you and it feels like you're a king/Queen. The restaurant is downstairs of Grand Oasis Sens hotel (don't get confused with Grand Oasis Pyramids) and it is quiet and pristine. We had an amazing experience and would recommend anyone going to Cancun to come to BENAZUZA!!

I can't say enough good things about Benazuza. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Cancun. I've been going to this restaurant for 2 years now and I love it. The chef never fails to impress me with special new dishes and amazing quality and flavor. The food comes in beautifully presented small portions yet you will end up full after the meal guaranteed! The staff is amazing and very attentive. The price is around 1300 pesos which I don't think is insanely expensive for what you get. Quite the opposite, you can't get this experience anywhere else for this price point. If you're in Cancun and have the time, I highly recommend you visit Benazuza in the hotel oasis!

Ok first of all, I do not know why there are only 21 reviews here. Where are my fellow Yelpers????? Please do review! Anyway, this is approximately a 20 course dinner. It started with cocktail drinks. The only thing I wasn't able to take a picture of was the Rose, which was the very first cocktail drink served. Ah, I would've loved to show it to you but I just dove right in (as usual). So sorry. Anyway, the appetizers, entrees and desserts are all shown on the photos. Remember, each and every portion is a traditional fine dining portion, which of course is like as big or smaller than your fist....but boy! At the end of the meal I felt like I was 3 months pregnant! I don't know if it was the food or the combination or the wine pairing (which by the way is not included). But it was just filling! The chef probably put something in our food. LoL.....Just kidding. I have to be honest though, I didn't fancy some of the food, like the rib eye. To me, it lacked flavor and the meat was kind of tough. It's not like the melt in your mouth kind. The entire staff, including the manager, were all professional, friendly, informative, polite, welcoming, courteous and considerate. At the end of the meal, they will give you a copy of the menu and a Rose!!! So thoughtful and wonderful! They definitely deserve a Michelin star. Best of luck to you guys!

In the past this place has always been a staple for us, but each year we go we like it a little less. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I'm sure we will be back, but I think we might skip a year stopping here.

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

I saw so many videos and read so much hype about this place. I was excited to try it. I was just as disappointed when I threw out my burrito after a couple of bites. The food here is not good. It is so basic. I ordered chili cheese fries, and a burrito. For the burrito, you have to complete a form for your customizations, which I thought was going to be efficient. Unfortunately, despite my burrito, having everything in it that it was supposed to, I was overwhelmed by the massive amount of onions. Additionally, I was underwhelmed by the amount of shrimp inside my burrito. There weren't many at all and the entire burrito literally tasted like nothing. I ordered the shrimp and mahi. There was absolutely nothing remarkable about it. For a second, I almost wondered if I had Covid because the flavor was so lacking. But after speaking to friends of mine who also visited, I realized that I wasn't the only one. In total, I spent about US$32 on an order of chili cheese fries, a jerk, chicken, quesadilla, and a burrito. Fries: so bland. I wanted to throw them out, but I saved them and took them back to my hotel and added salt. It helped a bit, but these were overwhelmingly underseasoned and lacking flavor. The portion, however, was huge. Two out of five. Burrito: more mahi-mahi than shrimp, and neither protein was flavorful. The entire burrito was very bland and was full of more onions than I would ever care to eat. The burrito wasn't OK size, but it did not taste good. Two out of five. Jerk, chicken quesadilla: basic. Not super flavorful. And the chicken did not taste like jerk chicken at all. It didn't even have jerk flavor. Didn't even taste like they rolled the chicken in a little bit of jerk before cooking it. Three out of five. The staff noticed that I did not eat much of my food and asked if I didn't like it. I informed them that I did not like it and that I didn't think it had enough flavor. They did not care. I didn't fully expect them to because I know customer service is very different in Mexico, but I expected more. She even asked if the burrito was too spicy, which was hilarious because there was nothing spicy or even flavorful about it. This is very much a hole in the wall, kind of spot that has been blown up on social media. Very casual vibes, and there appears to be a small roof area where you can overlook the street. I would not return here. I also would not recommend it. Another example of influencers likely getting free food in exchange for review reviews. However, they do have a sign up that says you can get a free shot if you leave a review.

I was absolutely stunned how good my food was! I ordered the xx 2 boneless chicken thighs, grilled. The flavors were absolutely wonderful. I've never seen thighs on a thigh menu so I'm gonna say it is a fusion type dish. It came with sticky or jasmine rice but I upgraded to fried Thai rice. It was so flavorful. I think it had pineapple (not my preference) so I'd ask to leave that out next time. After a couple other dinner meal misses, I decided to come back a 2nd night. I got the red curry beef with jasmine rice. It was equally good. Highly recommend this place.

Food: We had ceviches, seafood tacos, octopus, seared ahi, salads, pork sandwich, margaritas, and wines. Everything was tender, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. Drinks were nicely balanced. Portions are plentiful. Fresh chips and salsas were delicious. Service: Both times, all servers here were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Quick, yet not rushed. Ambience: you don't get better than this, as it's right on the water. The view is the ocean. You're dining al fresco under a huge straw roof with a very Polynesian vibe. Side note: expect more Latin inspired flavors and dishes, not Thai nor Asian. If you keep that in mind, you'll love it. Highly recommend.
