This is a hard one for me, because normally I love Ben and Jerry's! Their ice cream is delicious and they have vegan options. I've ordered vegan ice cream cakes for years from them without issue, but this time it went wrong enough for me to say something. I ordered a vegan ice cream cake online within their time constraints, so there really was no reason for this to end so badly. When my dad came in to pick up the cake, the person working there was still putting on the finishing touches. It was pretty obvious that they had been rushing the job and that they had little to no cake-decorating experience so it already looked pretty bad. No big deal tho, except the cake hasn't even been frozen yet, so it was basically falling apart during the drive home. When we got home, we put it in the freezer and hoped it would keep at least some of its shape, but it had completely melted into a lump of sadness and did not hold its shape at all. In fact, it continued to melt in the freezer. We haven't tried it yet, and while I'm sure the actual flavor is fine, the sight of it's half-assed decoration job and its melted shape or lack thereof makes it unappetizing even to look at. My boyfriend and I went in right before closing, which we understand is irritating but there was still 7-8 minutes before close. First, there are some grungy looking kids in there getting free ice cream from their friend behind the counter (guy who closed on may 17 with a pony tail). Whatever, usually we wouldn't really care but it was how this same employee treated us that really made it an issue. We tried a few different flavors and my boyfriend decides on a cone. The same guy makes this cone so the ice cream is about to fall off and hands my boyfriend a cone. My boyfriend looks at the cone, then back at the employee, who then proceeds to ask my boyfriend very aggressively "is there a problem" and my boyfriend goes "yeah my ice cream is about to fall off" to which the employee replies "yeah, that's why I handed you cup" so my boyfriend goes I don't want a cup, I wanted a cone, please remake it" and the guy is like fine whatever man, snatches the ice cream, and literally CHUCKS it into the trash can. Like full on throws, and my boyfriend is like whoa man why are you getting so mad this is your job, I will be calling management tomorrow morning (which we will be doing). He gets all apologetic and whatever but the aggression and hostility this guy had, I've never experienced anything like it before. I hope management has cameras so you can run them back and see I am not overexaggerating, this guy was wayyy out of line. read more

The flavors here are (of course) delicious. I think Ben and Jerry's has the best add-ins of any icecream company. They are open a bit later here than most other icecream places, which is very convenient. However, they do not currently have any seating available inside. Parking is on the street, but not too difficult at night. read more

It was such a treat to get to go to Ben and Jerry's in store. I'm so used to just getting it out of the pint! The people were super nice and got everyone in and out really quick. Ice cream is delicious, I got chocolate chip cookie dough. Normally in pints or at any other restaurant the chunks of cookie dough are very small but here they were very big! Came to Ben & Jerrys on free cone day with my friend and overall it was easy and painless. Despite the line being around the corner, it moved so fast and our wait was very minimal. That was a huge plus for our experience since these things can sometime be very slow. It also helped that they provided the menu options for people standing in line to avoid the "Uhhh...." at the counter ;). Three words: Free Cone Day! They have it every year, and it just might be my new favorite unofficial holiday. I've been an Arctic Zero/Halo Top/Enlightened ice cream girl for the past couple of years, but sometimes you have to indulge in a big scoop of creamy, sweet, old-fashioned ice cream. Oh, and did I mention it was free?! The line was fairly long, but went quickly, and the employees were incredibly cheerful despite likely being slammed all day. It's a small shop, so you might end up eating outside or while walking around the DU area. Parking is metered or available a couple of blocks away on the surrounding streets. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a cake. They gave us the completely wrong one. Pretty obvious they found an old holiday one in the back and slapped a happy birthday on it. Oh how do I know it was old? Well the icing was crumbling and after eating both my partner and I began to vomit everywhere. Yum. Finally had a chance to come here after moving to the area a few years back. We are from the SF Bay Area, so very familiar with B&J. Tried a couple flavors including the super Chocolate-y one. Decided on Caramel-something, which was perfect. Husband got 2 different flavors in a cup - milk and cookies and pb-something. Everything tasted great! The pints you can buy from the freezer aren't a great price, but might be worth it for a newer flavor or one you can't find in a grocery store. It's right by DU, so lots of students working there and frequenting the place. In all, a good experience. Glad to see them in Denver. Hope to come back soon. read more

Who doesn't love great ice cream? I was in the area and taking a break from studying at the DU library so I decided to get some ice cream. The good side is that I was able to walk over to this place. If you are driving, parking is probably going to be an issue - they do have some metered parking in front right off of Evans, although it is almost always usually taken. The lot in back is also very tight and is shared by the other, neighboring businesses. I ended up getting a waffle cone with a scoop of Steven Colbert's flavor - the Americone Dream with chunks of waffle cone, chocolate, and caramel. (Who doesn't love waffle cone with some extra waffle cone on the side!?!). It was exactly what I needed to cure my snack-finding induced problem and to take some time out of the library! P.S. If you aren't in the mood for good, solid ice cream, they also have shakes and smoothies! read more

Across the street fro DU, Ben & Jerry's is situated in an ideal location for the product's target market - stoned college students. This is the storefront version of the same thing you can buy at the grocer. I had the vanilla Heath bar, my sweet treat companion had the world famous Cherry Garcia. Two scoops in cups, for here, please. Both flavors met the high standards the company has built an empire on. Prompt service. Clean counters and tables. The space is small in this deco looking retail building probably built circa 1950 but not cramped feeling. I'd be happy to repeat the experience. One note: parking in this neighborhood is a bit rough, so don't be in a hurry or expect to resolve that right away. Also be careful of the "residents only" signs on the side streets. read more
