Recently stopped by High Point Creamery while they were celebrating their anniversary with a buy-one-get-one scoop, and it was a great excuse to finally give this place a try!
One thing I liked right away was the variety of flavors. They have plenty of the classic options you'd expect, but also a bunch of funky and creative flavors that are fun to sample. I tried samples of the spicy brownie and honey butter biscuit, and they also had interesting flavors like red pepper jelly and a few others that definitely stood out. Some of them were a little too adventurous for me to commit to a full scoop, but I appreciated how unique the lineup was.
I ended up getting a double scoop with the brown sugar cinnamon and the cookies and cream. The brown sugar cinnamon was excellent -- super cinnamon-forward in the best way, and a nice change from the chocolate-heavy flavors I usually gravitate toward.
The cookies and cream was good too, but definitely not your traditional version. Instead of the classic crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, it tasted more like a vanilla base with chunks of actual chocolate chip cookies mixed in. I enjoyed it overall, but it wasn't what I was expecting, so just something to keep in mind if you order that flavor.
One really cool thing they offer is ice cream flights, which honestly feels perfect for a place with so many unique flavors. It's such a fun idea and makes it easier to try some of the more adventurous options without committing to a full scoop. Can't wait to come back to share a flight next time.
Overall, a really solid ice cream spot with creative flavors and plenty of variety. Definitely worth checking out if you like trying something a little different. read more
