Best place in cottleville! Right across from Cottleville frankies beer garden and off the main strip. Has a full big parking lot that even has golf cart parking. Outside and inside seating and private room for parties if needed. Nice bar and perfect food. Iv had their pasta to prime rib sandwich. French fries on POINT! Arrived at 3pm on a Monday and as expected it was not busy, but bar seating was about half full. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Food was pretty good and atmosphere was fine too. Would go back if I was in the area. read more

Park behind the building. Sure, you can park out in the small row of parking spots right off the street, but there are 2 problems with this. Firstly, you'll have to walk around the building to get to the front door & secondly, backing out to the main street in the blind is kinda dangerous. That being said, came in on a Saturday afternoon post graduation ceremony for my niece around 3pm and there were tables already setup for the group. The menu is a complete oddity. It's like a combo of some southern flair (but no sweet tea?) mixed with an attempt at slightly upscale Americana. Shrimp and grits were by all accounts good. I opted for a cheeseburger as nothing really sang to me otherwise. The seasoned fries were easily the highlight of the meal (A-), but the burger itself was just okay (B-), and nobody seemed head over heels over the other entrees selected. Wait staff did what they could considering we basically only had 1 dedicated to the 20+ of us, but it was definitely a bit laggy. Definitely got the impression this was more of a casual bar and grill with a hint of refinement built for small parties vs big ones. Prices were probably on par for what the menu had to offer and the location. Would I come back? Nope. Just nothing really on the menu for me with too many other great options within a 5 minute drive. It's fine, just not my jam. Guess if you're local and want to grab a brew within golf cart distance (there are dedicated golf cart spots in the parking lot), this is the place for you. read more

So the wife and I decided to go to one of our favorite locally-owned restaurants that we've really enjoyed over the years. It was a Saturday evening, around 6:30 PM. We did not get any reservations, and we walked right in and was told there would be a 45 minute wait. That's a good thing. I am happy when locally-owned businesses are busy. Anyway, we found a hightop in the bar area. I ordered a side salad with blue cheese vinaigrette house, and an appetizer of their wonderfully crunchy fries. They've been great every time we've got them in the past. Again, I went with my favorite entrée: Expresso Tubbed Beef Medallions, w/pesto mash, and grilled asparagus. There is a wonderful Gorgonzola sauce over the top of everything. It was fantastic. My wife had the beef and vegetable kebabs, which she always gets. They were fantastic, again. This place is very consistent, and we really enjoy it. It was really nice to see the owner and several other folks out in the parking lot, making sure that their customers had parking due to other local businesses around the area stealing all of the parking. It was great to see. The owner was very nice when I told him we appreciated the parking, and that the food is always good. We will be back most definitely. read more

Food was okay. I ordered beef stroganoff. The bowl was full lots of noodles and mushrooms but little to no beef. A dab of sour cream. I would have liked to have seen more beef in the bowl. We ordered a burger. Which my husband enjoyed. A expresso martini was very good And an asparagus appetizer was good the sauces were ok one was extremely salty The service was good The floor around our table Could have been cleaner and the fingerprints on the table could have been wiped off. Bemos is by far my favorite restaurant in the St. Charles/St. Peters area. Food is fantastic and in my experience quickly served. The appetizers are fantastic and the wings are some of the best I have had. The burgers and sandwiches are delicious and the entree's are fantastic. Try the Chicken and Brie, the Kebobs or the Salmon... Ambiance is wonderful! Great for a business meeting or for family and the environment is always comfortable. The staff is absolutely the best. Dave and Colton's friendliness and customer service skills come out in all of the staff and Julie and BJ are the best. 5 stars is not enough! read more

Quite sad I have been living around Cottleville/Ofallon for almost a year now and just went in to Bemos for the first time. This place is a gem. It has a ton of seating- I could see it being great for a party or something like that. The inside is very nice and would be fabulous for a date. We came in for lunch on a Sunday I think and got the Bemos nachos (to die for), the salad special of the day which had pears, candied pecans, maple vinaigrette topped with 4 oz of chicken and the chicken sandwich with french fries. Prices were great and so were portions. The food was phenomenal- really like the special menu. The service was excellent as well. Love the feeling here- they had signs for live music and they had a good dessert selection as well. The table next to us got two monstrous desserts and I kind of regretted not getting one because it looked insane. Will definitely be back!! My first time here and overall I was pretty pleased. I ordered the half order of Cajun shrimp pasta with andouille sausage and it was pretty darn good. Penne pasta is always one of my favorites and they didn't disappoint. The dish had a a little kick which I liked and four medium sized shrimp that was just ever so slightly overcooked. Even for a half order it was a little to small. Pasta is cheap people, throw a little more pasta in there to beef up the serving and it would have earned you an extra star. I actually wish I could have given them 3 1/2 stars. I will definitely eat there again! read more

Cottleville, Missouri They had top notch service, the owner,Dave, even was in the parking lot welcoming people to his restaurant and helping people to park ( this restaurant t is across the street from Frankie Martins Garden ) he was such a pleasant man with the best smile eve!! He even came around to see how our meal was. There were so many things on the menu we wanted to try, so we all ordered a different entree and tried each others. They all were FANTASTIC!! My husband and I are from the Northeast visiting family in the area. We had the best dinner here. The food was fantastic. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, southwest prime rib sandwich, and grilled steak salad - truly superb. My brother had the salted caramel martini, which was out of this world. The food was actually okay, when it finally came out correctly. We ordered drinks, 15 minutes later they were delivered. Then our waitress was nonexistent for 15 or so minutes. Super long waiting times for simple things. I had asked for no cheese on the salad. A real allergy to dairy. And it showed up with cheese. I can't just pick it off. That took forever. Tonight was my second visit to this restaurant. Both times were pretty good, although as you can see from the picture this stuff is GREASY. We could definitely tone down the grease levels in here for sure. Grease aside, everything was very flavorful, great use of garlic and savory flavors. As you see in the photos I have the Cajun style shrimp and grits, a classic favorite that I always love. This place does it well! Flavors were comforting and had that good, down-to-earth comfort food feeling. This dish did not come with a side but I got the Brussels sprouts, which were a delightful addition. My companion and I also had Portabella mushrooms for an appetizer, which I did not get a picture of. They were very delicious, a very unique and different kind of appetizer you wouldn't normally see around town. Topped it off with a pomegranate martini which was a lot more basic (flavor-wise) than I was expecting, and I definitely missed a garnish on it! Would've been really beautiful with perhaps a lemon twist. Anything, really. Due to the greasy nature of the food I will have to give only four stars for now, however everything else was very good and I would not count out at third visit to this place. read more

We enjoyed our first dining experience at Bemo's. There is a lot to choose from on the menu; steaks, pastas, burgers, salads, and a few surprises. One of those surprises is the dish I ordered which was shrimp and grits. Now having lived in Georgia I've eaten my share of shrimp and grits in places like Savannah, Atlanta, and even Charleston SC, so I have a pretty high standard. :) What drew me to ordering this is it has a unique twist at Bemo's. The grits have smoked cheddar cheese incorporated into them. This is awesome! The smoked cheese gave them a very unique and deep flavor. The shrimp was cooked well, not overdone. The only miss was the grits were lumpy, and not smooth and creamy. But I would order it again. I've never cooked grits, but I understand it's tough to get perfect grit texture every time. The rest of my party enjoyed their food as well. One got the ribeye, another got salmon over fettuccine, and the fourth person got chicken Marsala. They all said they liked their meals as well. We also shared an appetizer called Memphis nachos, which featured pulled BBQ pork. It was a nice start to our meal. Everyone enjoyed them and we ate all of the large portion. Lunch at Bemos with my coworkers. We started off with a few appetizers: calamari, stuffed mushrooms, fried asparagus, chips and queso. The fried asparagus is so good I could go back just for that. It's tempura battered and fried to perfection. The calamari was chewy, not my favorite. The chips and queso had good flavor but the queso hardened after a while, kinda suspect. For my entree I had the blackened grouper tacos. So yummy! The portion size was perfect and the fries were just right. Crispy outside, tender inside and well seasoned. Well I went back for drinks and the experience was absolutely terrible . Went with family on Saturday personally not knowing about the St. Patty's day celebration. There was a line to get in the door which is understandable for capacity limits due to covid, but really didn't make any sense since there were 100+ people crowded in the parking lot. Got in the door due to special treatment of a friend of a friend. We walked out and needed to go back in to grab my cousin to leave. The guy at the door was very rude and condescending and wouldn't let us back in even though we literally just walked out 3 seconds ago and not one person walked in during this time. I understand if he was dealing with intoxicated individuals all day, but shouldn't treat sober people in the same disrespectful manner. I will not return to this establishment.
