I LOVE Belt's. While I'm not as hard-core as the people that begin camping out in the parking lot up to three days before Belt's opens for the season (spring through fall), I am still in love with this place. It's more of an old-fashioned ice cream place, with just a walk-up ordering counter outside. However, their concoctions are anything but old-fashioned. This is one of my favorite ice cream stops ever. I always stop here whenever I am in or near Stevens Point. The prices are fair for such large portion sizes and their soft serve is delicious. They also have homemade toppings (cookie dough, brownies, and peanut butter cups) that are to die for. You really can't go wrong at this place. The only drawback is that they only take cash, but that's not enough of a drawback to warrant taking off a star. Highly recommend! read more

The product is actually ice milk. It is OK but never sure what size to order bc depending upon who is working a small can look like a kiddy cone or like a medium. I never like to order a cone bigger than small bc it is usually crooked and ends up in my lap. Very long lines, cool options, but probably last on my list for good ice cream. read more

Classic spot for soft-serve ice cream! The fresh local raspberries are the perfect topping to a cone or flurrie. The prices are reasonable.

Traditionally the best to do it in WI outside of Kopps custard and burgers in the Greater Milwaukee area.

Great ice cream! I got a brownie sundae with fudge and peanut butter sauce, amazing! I couldn't finish it, but I wanted to. My husband, who use to live in Stevens Point, would get a quart of ice cream each week. He got a volcano cone (I believe that's what it is called), with the flavor of the day, Kaluha, and peanut butter sauce. He ate it all except the big cone. Every time we're by Stevens Point, we'll stop for some ice cream. I'll just have to remember to have cash. read more

This place really has to be seen to be appreciated. The ice cream is basic--two flavors plus a daily special--but what's really going on is a vast array of flurries and shakes, some with homemade treats mixed in. Because almost everyone is ordering something made to order, the line is long and moves slowly, but everyone's in a good mood, and when you get to the front they're very friendly and efficient. Ice cream itself is average soft serve fare, but the mix ins for flurries are to die for! Cookie dough, peanut butter cups, brownies, and more are homemade, not the "pellet" type seen at DQ and most ice cream places. Skip the large cone, get a flurry instead! Sizes are VERY large. read more

It's BELTS! Good ice cream. Great price. A friend of mine had her wedding party stop by there as they left the church. The only rough thing is the parking sometimes, but you get over it. Nice that they have a parking lot adjacent to Belts. read more

Nothing special went to belt's for a simple chocolate cone and flurry thinking it would be the "best" as reviews claim...extremely poor quality considering all the buzz. The chocolate had ice crystals in it and had no creaminess to it I was definitely not impressed. My husband had a ""home made"" peanut butter cup flurry with vanilla..never again!! The peanut butter cup was so awful the recipe that is used needs to never see light and see the inside of a dumpster. I really don't understand why people think belt's is so amazing. All I can really say: best ice cream ever!! We went late night, right before close (sorry!) and we were served very quickly. My first impression of the joint was "Wow, I'm gonna take forever to choose!" but my friend that I was with said that no matter what you get, it is all delicious. I got the red velvet flurry-thing, and it was amazing. The best ice cream novelty I'd ever had, and I'm quite the ice cream connoisseur. I tried what my other two friends got as well, and even though they were vastly different, they were both just as delicious. There is the perfect ratio of topping to ice cream, and both the topping and ice cream hold to their own. The topping doesn't meld into the ice cream (unless it is blended in), and that's a very good thing. The ice cream is smooth and creamy and really satiates any ice cream craving you might be having. If you go to Coldstone right down the street, you are wasting your time and money. Belt's is the way to go! 9/10 read more
