Ice cream cone was bigger than my head! Come hungry and ready to share. Definitely use the cup they give you and grab a couple spoons. Soft serve style and good prices. We found a bench nearby to stop and eat our massive cone as this was a walk up window only. The staff were very nice and quick service. read more

Don't blink or you might miss this cute little ice cream shop! It looks very unbecoming from the outside but it was great! There is a parking lot across the street and off street parking available. The menu has a little bit of something for everyone. I wish we could have tried more but we were there for one thing only; the largest soft serve ice cream cone I have ever seen! We shared the large cone and still had plenty of leftovers. The service was great and the prices were even better! read more

Yummy soft serve ice cream! Had the cherry cheesecake flurry and it was sooooo good. Nice amount of cheesecake chunks and the cherry was mixed throughout. Service was quick and friendly. There is no sit down area this time of year so either eat in your car or take it home. The grounds were clean and ordering area was organized. Will be back! read more

Belt's Soft Serv - One of the order counters - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Old school, tasty and affordable. I met up with a friend in town and the weather was lovely so we decided to walk while we talked. They suggested that we take our walk past Belt's and get a sweet treat too. I had never been before, so I was down. I was not expecting to come here so I was unprepared and didn't have any cash (or a debit card). They have an ATM nearby for you, but my friend ended up paying for me, like a gaht dang white knight. We each got whatever was their special of the day, which was a pineapple whipped milkshake thing. It was super tasty and a great summer sweet treat. I love a local ice cream stand and Belt's lived up to my expectations of one! read more

This is a softserve counter. There are outdoor seats available. I went on a Saturday noon. There were not that many people at that time. Quantity of the soft serve is a lot. Spumani sundae was my favorite item. It had a good amount of pistachio. I also went for a door county cherry sundae. That had some fresh cherry. Single sundae is more than enough for 1 person. read more

Huuuuge portions at a great price. This is a Stevens Point establishment that we had to stop by and visit while in town. I got the banana cream pie flurrie and was advised to get the small size or I would regret it. Even small was too much for me! It also came topped with a mountain of whipped cream. The banana flavor was strong but I felt that the texture of the soft serve mixed with wafers was a bit too unpleasant. I wouldn't get this flavor again. Cash only which is a bummer but they do have an ATM on site read more

Awesome awesome awesome. Great place, probably the best in WI, will come back. Super super lots quality and quality. Loved it! read more

We heard about this from peers and were determined to try it before we left at the end of the weeek(we were just in town for ASI). So glad we did, totally recommend!!! The small is pretty big though, so for anyone unfamiliar with this, heads up! read more

Love Belt's Soft Serv so much! In addition to vanilla and chocolate, they always offer at least one or two flavored soft ice creams. They come up with fun and delicious ice cream treats on a regular basis. When I was there, I tried the "cookie monster" flurry using Blue Moon ice cream, cookies & cream, and cookie dough pieces. It was a wonderful concoction! Belt's is a MUST STOP when in Stevens Point! Remember to bring cash. read more

THE place to go for ice cream in point! The only downside is how long the lines can be on those hot summer days

The udder ambiance of this place blew my socks off. The service was delightful quick and helpful. All there prices are cheap. The fresh local strawberries were robust and vigorous. read more

Tired of crazy high prices army chain ice cream places? You definitely want to give Belt's a try! We've been to this soft serve ice cream place several times over the past couple of years. Friendly service, a veritable cornucopia of topping choices and fair prices. Don't let the long lines discourage you; they actually move pretty quickly. Park in the lot across the street and get in line. You'll probably change your mind several times while you look over all the tasty options. No indoor seating, but you'll be too busy eating treats to worry about sitting down. I wish there was a Belt's in our town! read more

A classic of Stevens Point. They have excellent flurries that have homemade ingredients from peanut butter cups to brownies. I love the Raw Dawg! They also have great flavors of the week. I got the ice cream in a cup with the peanut butter, chocolate, and Rice Krispie. I loved it but I should have gotten a smaller size case their portion is pretty big read more

The flurries are the best! And all homemade toppings. I mean, they have puppy chow as a topping...where else can you get that?! And scotcharoos!! I can't wait to go back and try a scotcharoo flurry. This place is great, with some tables on the side to enjoy your ice cream. And the serving sizes are HUGE. which is my kind of serving Highly recommend you check out this Stevens point staple read more

Belt's has my whole heart. Love a sweet treat from here. The apple crumble with soft serve on top was sooooo good, would get again in a heartbeat. Nice for a quick stop during errands. Staff get you your order quick too! read more

Honestly, this is a hot take because it seems like everybody is obsessed with this place, but it's not good. I keep trying to give it another chance but it just is never up to par. I never finish my ice cream from there. And it's overpriced too. Do not recommend, go to the other place right next to it that actually tastes good. read more

To be honest, soft serve is basically the same anywhere. Except Dairy Queen, which is somehow less than acceptable. In any case, Belt's is well worth a visit on any hot summer day. Expect the small to of a size that requires quick and determined licking in order to keep it from melting all over your hand. I have no idea how the medium and large cone ordering people manage (but watching them try is a delight in itself). I recommend the zebra, which is a chocolate and vanilla side by side. read more

Belt's Soft Serv - Forgot take before we chowed down but Trust it was Awesome and Delicious!!! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

If you are gonna have ice cream you might as well have the best. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu but flurry's are a good place to start if you can't decided. Try one with their homemade ingredients - so good. If you are more of a just ice cream kinda person they have something for you too, check out their flavor of the day! And if you are feeling really adventurous, order a large cone and then eat as fast as you can. They don't mess around with sizes. My favorite is to stop in during early summer for some fresh strawberries in a flurry or sundae! read more

I get to have Belt's maybe once a year or every other year when I play in the trivia contest with my family, which is normally opening weekend for Belt's. It is always super busy but I am always impressed with how fast they make their ice cream and service the customers. So many options, specials that look sooooo good. My favorite is the RawDog, soft serve, served with peanut butter cups and cookie dough, topped with a lil scoop of dough. I am already looking forward to me next time here. read more

This place is an institution in Stevens Point. We always hail the start of Spring with the opening of Belt's. Opening day is always a big deal with a big crowd. Point is a small enough town that we find ways to work around the fact there is limited parking in the area around Belt's. Really, you never question the fact you can drive to any part of Point from any other part of Point, if you have to or want to. They give you a lot of ice cream for your money. I'm boring and just like chocolate, but what difference does that make? They have chocolate. They also have a lot of other flavors and come up with new (strange) creations on their menu all the time. They're often staffed by college kids, but then, so is almost every other business in Point. You may have to deal with a long line because this place is so popular in Point. But if you have some friends with you, and the sun is up, it's not such a bad way to spend a weekend. read more

Belts is more of a soft serve ice cream with a wide variety of toppings. Customer service is above average along with the quality of ice cream. The only downside is you might have to wait in line as it is a community favorite. read more

Definitely one of my favorites in town! They have so many different options to choose from! Also very affordable, they even have pup cones! The only thing I wish was different would be that they take card. They only take cash which sucks sometimes because I'll be craving belts but I don't have any cash :( read more

Great soft serve, I'd give 'em 5 stars if they decided to get in touch with the 21st century and accept cards for payment.

Nobody beats Belts. Yes, there's definitely good competition but Belts is the best. What are you waiting for? Get some ice cream! Oh yea, try a large cone (insert evil smile here). read more

I almost went with 3 stars because I'm bitter about how much prices have increased since I started going as a little 4th grader (over 15 years ago) and I don't like the reminder of getting older so quickly and paying more for my ice cream. But then I remember what a staple Belt's is to Stevens Point, summer, and Trivia weekend that I want to give it 5 stars. So I compromise. Yes- hard ice cream with all those fancy flavors sure is great. But on a hot summer day nothing beats a soft serve twist cone that drips onto the outdoor tables and no one could care less about the mess. Also, they started having a flavor of the day a bunch of years ago (bubble gum, pistachio, a whole host of other gross-sounding flavors) but the best days are when they have fresh strawberries or raspberries for sundaes. Otherwise try their homemade brownies, cookie dough, or peanut butter cups for flurries. Always worth braving the long lines, that's for sure. read more

I think we are an exception to the rule with this place. From what I understand, this is a local favorite. We visited when in town with a friend who raved about it. The line was long, but that's to be expected on a summer afternoon. Ordering was a little chaotic and the menu isn't really that straightforward, if you've never been there before. We tried the "flurry" per the recommendation of our friend. While they are extravagant (large in size and lots of extra toppings), I was left disappointed. I felt the ice cream was grainy and overly sweet. The prices were fair, but we've had way better ice cream. Perhaps I'd try just the plain soft-serve next time if we visit again to give them a fair shot. read more
