Review for Atlantic Hearing Care, Inc - Swampscott, MA By…read moreCarl Christie - Nahant, MA I'd like to share my experience with Atlantic Hearing Care, Inc at 990 Paradise Rd, Suite 3A, Swampscott, MA--especially with Dr. Taylor Chabot, Au.D. Taylor is exceptionally knowledgeable, educated, and experienced across all aspects of audiology. She understands both the unique challenges her patients face and the wide range of hearing equipment options available, including the subtle differences between specific devices. Taylor is kind, patient, and friendly, and it's clear that she genuinely enjoys her work--helping people improve their quality of life through better hearing. I also had a very positive experience with Atlantic's newer audiologist, who was professional and attentive throughout my visits. Finally, I'd like to recognize Karen Tracchia, Patient Care Coordinator, who was always welcoming and upbeat. Her friendly energy made each visit a pleasure from the moment I walked through the door. As I continue my audiology journey, Atlantic Hearing Care will certainly remain an important part of it. Respectfully, Carl Christie Nahant, MA

Not impressed at all. $2500 for a hearing aid and the thing was just handed to me with zero help,…read moreinstructions or adjustment. I went back to return it this time the Dr. was in and tried to adjust it. Not even close. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back for a few more adjustments, with zero success. It was at this time they told me it can take up to a dozen or more "fittings" every two weeks to get it right. I call BS! I spent another $500 to buy the hardware to adjust it myself and got it better than they did on my third try. This was over two years ago and time for a new hearing aid. Unfortunately, I'll have to deal with going deaf because this scam outfit is the only one my insurance recognizes. STAY AWAY!

Let's start off with three facts about me:…read more 1. I spend a lot of time in noisy places. 2. I like music. 3. I like my ears. so - what does 1 + 2 + 3 equal? Custom headphones. Oh yes. Custom baby. I got sick and tired of all the commercially available headphones out there - they're either too big, don't block enough noise, too uncomfortable, or suffer from any other massive problem. So I decided to have custom headphones made that were actually molded to fit my ear perfectly while also blocking off ambient noise. I called around to the local Westone dealers (as Westone is one of the major groups that do custom headphones) - and Audiology Services quoted me the cheapest price - $90. Apparently their main business is hearing aids - but they do these custom headphone molds as well. I went in and met one of the audiologists there, Gayle Nye (on a side note - I love that job title). Gayle was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Heck, we even share the same alma mater. Work was done quickly and well. If I had to complain about anything - it'd be that they quoted me $90, but when I came in they realized that the proper price was $100. They apologized for this, but it was still annoying. Even at that price they were more than $50 cheaper than the next cheapest group I spoke with. Highly recommended.

I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to purchase anything on the day of my first appointment but the fact that they will refund your money within 30 days if you don't like the aids was very appealing. And if I waited any longer, I wouldn't have gotten them in time for Christmas. Well, it's been about 2 months with my hearing aids and I absolutely LOVE them! I purchased a pair of ReSound hearing aids that are compatible with my iphone and there are so many useful features that I didn't know could exist. I even misplaced the aids in my house one day and was able to track them down with the GPS feature, very cool! Charlie (the provider) really knows his stuff and whenever I have called the office, the staff has always been so kind and accommodating. I've only needed a few adjustments before the aids really felt like they were tuned to my personalized hearing. I highly recommend DHA to anyone!
