You know that fairytale dream of falling in love with the first dress you try on? Well that happened at Beloved and I KNOW its because they took the time to listen, answer every question under the sun I had, and made me feel like a god damn princess as soon as I walked through the door. I came to Beloved Bridal after many of my friends recommended it saying they had a stellar experience! I have been in Ann Arbor for the last 8 years, and I've walked past their store on Main Street hundreds of times, admiring the sparkling dresses in the window & dreaming of the day I'll get to go shopping for my wedding. It only felt right to come here for my first wedding dress appointment. Hannah was instantly made me feel like her best friend. She is confident, knowledgable, and could pick out exactly what I was 'trying' to say as I rambled on and on in each stunning dress. The gorgeous, modern space is outlined with racks of ivory eye candy. Beloved had a wonderful selection of dresses... Essence of Australia and Martina Liana are two of the brands that Hannah recommended I try on. What I loved about the Beloved experience is that I never felt rushed, I always felt heard, and I ended up finding my dream dress! Not once did we feel pressured to purchase. In fact, we left our first appointment and went to another place that was a complete 180 experience. We walked out and all said "Okay so back to Beloved?" You won't be sorry!

Cutest bridal shop EVER! From booking my appointment to arriving the day of, to picking up my dress! Everything went so smoothly. The shop is owned by the sweetest sisters and they make you feel so welcomed throughout your whole appointment. I enjoyed that there was a large variety of dresses to choose from and keep an eye out for their specialty events where they feature designers! That's when I found mine and I fell in love right away. When you originally fill out a "get to know you" survey before your appointment, you get to choose your budget & they absolutely stick to it which I appreciated so much! Couldn't recommend going here more. 3 of my other friends have come since and said yes without having to look further too :) above all, HAVE FUN!

I said "Yasssssss!" to the dress! #forRichardsorPoorer

On Saturday, my sisters and I had the pleasure of going to Beloved Bridal to hunt for my wedding dress. I can honestly say that Ashley was AMAZING! She listened to me; she understood my personality and my style. She was very passionate; I could tell that she LOVES what she does. In the end, I found THE DRESS and I am very happy with my decision. I feel that Beloved Bridal is the crème de la crème of bridal salons; I highly recommend them. Thank you, Ashley for such a wonderful experience!

my family and i came here for my first wedding dress try on. the salon is absolutely stunning, it felt like being in a new york high rise! there were so many gorgeous, unique dresses at this place. i loved everything i tried on in its own way. Chelsea was amazing and so helpful, and made me feel very comfortable. She gave plenty of time to weigh out options. No pressure or pushiness to buy anything. although i didn't find my dress here, i cannot recommend it enough! ladies, add this place to your wedding dress try-on schedule

This was the 4th bridal store I visited, the other three being regular bridal shops (one in Howell, one in WB, and David's Bridal in Novi). I knew going in that all proceeds are donated to cancer charities, which is great; I didn't know that all the employees are volunteers, too. Our assistant was Lisa and she was great. In my two-hour appointment I probably tried on 5-7 dresses. Some weren't as "fancy" as I wanted (mostly the Torrid ones, but the prices were excellent; $50+) but I found two I really liked, and ended up buying one! For $450, which is about 1/4 the price of another dress I saw at one of the other shops and really liked. They do alterations there too - the shop itself allows credit cards but the seamstresses, who are also volunteers, just take cash or check. The shop advised me to come back about 3 months before my wedding to start the alterations process, so that would be June of next year. They told me they do cost-effective alterations, too, so this is where I'll be taking my dress. Overall super pleased with this store, and glad that their mission is so charitable, too.

I could spend an entire day here. I wish they were open Monday's as that is my day off but... always come down on weekends when I can. I emailed the owner looking for a dress I had previously tried on in store and she had it available and ready online to purchase immediately! That timing was rare and special! I received it four days later! All the reviews about staff being snobby.... I don't understand at all. My partner and I travel to different shops such as this across the US and collect unique items... there are snobby people but dear golden... they aren't them. People reviewing saying they are, now that sounds snobby. I wish dear golden all the best and can't wait to return.

The reason I am posting this review on Yelp is specifically because of the response my Google…read morereview got (see attached screenshot). I kind of expected ridiculously high prices, it is Ann Arbor after all, but these prices were absurd. What I don't expect is to be ridiculed by the owner because of a simple spelling mistake. Like I said, thier priorities are backwards with no attempt to rectify the situation, only to make it worse after the fact online. I wish I could get paid to sit on my butt all day and ignore customers. At least I was greeted by a lady yelling from the back, but that is considered the bare minimum, just as another 1 star review is. If I could give 0 I would especially now after realizing this is how they respond to potential customers. I will never go back. The vulgar music that was being played throughout the store was my biggest concern at the time, but now it has shifted to the way they responded to me online. If you must buy from them (still way overpriced, I don't know why you would) order from etsy and don't subject yourself to being ignored and annoyed by incompetent store staff. After reading some of these other reviews here I am certain they had to deal with this same person, and it was probably the same person who made the condescending reply to my first review (see picture). I have a hunch that most of these 5 star reviews are either from the staff themselves trying to counter the honest ones or by someone who didn't have to deal with the lack of customer service that I experienced. If you're the owner of the place and you are reading this, please reconsider who you choose to be the face of the store, they are driving your customers away. If in fact the owner was the only one in the store today, and the subject of all the other 1 star reviews here, I would recommend closing your store and finding a new line of business because you are clearly not equipped customer service.

Not only did I find my dream dress here, but from the minute I came in I felt like family here. I highly, highly recommend this bridal boutique if you are in the southeast MI area! All of the employees are so sweet and genuinely invested in giving every bride the perfect bridal experience. Being a plus size bride, I struggled to find shops that carried dresses in my size and Mimi's is one of the few where I was able to actually try on dresses that fit. I ended up going for a dress that my mom found (mom always knows best!) and they worked with me as I turned a couture gown into a custom design specially made for me. They offer in-house alterations at an added charge and even though the prices are steep, the quality speaks for itself. For reference, my budget was $3,000 -my dress & veil combined ended up being just under $2,000 and I paid $900 for alterations (keep in mind I re-designed the whole top of my dress and had 15 bustles!) so I still came in under budget and ended up with a unique one of a kind dress that no one else has. While I went the extra mile for my dress, I can confidently say that all the gowns here are amazing quality and do not need any alterations apart from tailoring it to fit your body perfectly so many brides from my community have chosen Mimi's bridal in recent years and they all looked stunning in their gowns!

It was a mistake. I regret it. I'm not sure if Vahan (who was kind-er) or his assistant George (who was mean-er) were offended by the fact that I bought a suit using the Internet or that it was a more modern and slim style, but they hassled me about both, and not in a paternalistic "I know a lot about suits" kind of way, but in a racist, "now you've made me uncomfortable" kind of way. As in, George yells at me, "You're in America now, you should buy American." Excuse me? I might not be white, but I've always been "in America." I was born in Illinois. And where do you think Italian suits come from? End of story, the suit jacket needed to be sent back, but the pants could have been hemmed here. Too bad. The only reason I'm giving them a second star is because I have no idea how they are at altering clothes. they might sew like a boss, but after this, I just don't care.
