I just finished what was Supposedly a one month supply of a compounded cream RX. I received it on July 27, 2026 and today is August 14, 2026. I followed the prescription exactly and the bottle was empty in two weeks. These people are claiming to provide a month's worth of the prescription but only providing two weeks worth. These are very expensive prescriptions and I would like to know who else has been cheated by these people as I'm thinking "class action" might be an appropriate next step. I can't possibly be the only person they have done this to. I know they have a lot of derogs with the BBB. read more

Just know that this pharmacy is incredibly slow. It will take weeks to get your meds shipped to you. I put in a request a week ago and was told today it would be another 5 days before it's made and then, the time it takes to ship. It's hard to tell how much of a hormone cream is actually left and, by the time you run out and it's refilled, you may be a while without, as happened many times to me. read more

It is difficult to rate their overall review when what they provide technically is a unique market value, which is HIGH but the GAP between their technical capabilities and their customer service, being low end is larger than it should be. The lack of transparency to an order status or completion date unnecessarily non-existent. The customer service via phone for an order in their queue for one calendar week made a commitment to us of "come pick it up in 3 days" via phone call on Monday Sept 15th". Upon physically arriving the 18th, the front counter person looks to find it is not done & immediately responds with "it isn't ready and I cannot tell you WHEN it will be ready ". I had already told her about the customer service phone call about the "pick it up in 3 days" . There is the beginning point of "the gap"... I don't understand why the business finds it appropriate to basically leave a customer with this statement expecting them to merely walk away and accept this answer. I felt uncomfortable but did say I could not leave until I can get a real "when" answer because our son is out of med, is home sick and I came because of the Monday's phone call commitment. (Should a customer have to draw a boundary like this?) She noted she saw the phone call on Monday but would not share anything more and became quiet while reading her monitor. I was told to take a seat as she went back to inquire. She takes a few steps back to speak with a person on the manufacturing floor, who asks for other help and two other other people come to her station. They have a quiet discussion and looking at the monitor for a few minutes. (I get a few glances back at me, okay) All this is fine, I understand .. (I had a career in production manufacturing for 45 years in heavy process driving products as Belmar Pharmacy has). However, the front desk person comes back to say finish "tomorrow, but there are no guarantees". This is the moment where the customer service begins to become boarder-line "no customer service". There is more energy on deflecting a customer than there is with being openly honest and visible as to why they cannot commit to a date and time to return for pick up. I did get an apology but honestly at this point, all we needed was a commitment. I asked if we could pay an expedite fee. I was told to call customer service because she didn't know (SMF). I don't understand, the front desk order pick up isn't considered part of customer service experience? The customer service phone center who told us to come pick up in 3 days isn't part of the front desk pick up process? I left not knowing at all when meds would be ready. read more

I'm taking testosterone compounded by Belmar Pharmacy. I received my latest vial and injected into my right thigh as I've done for years. After a few days the infection site started swelling and very red. I had to have bloodwork done for a different issue. While waiting for the results I injected into my left thigh. The next day the bloodwork came back showing I had a bad infection. Two days later my left thigh became infected. My prescribing doctor told me that the batch of testosterone was most likely contaminated. Reading other reviews of this company many others are having similar issues. Now I've been with Belmar for a while and I'll be honest, I haven't had the best experience with my last few refills. Whether it be long delays I didn't plan for, or long hold times to speak to someone, or the less than stellar service of the technicians and people who claim to be supervisors there. But through all the pains, I've stuck with them because they have a superior product to what I can get at Walgreens. I know this review is starting to sound bad but it's not. It's just important to know what I've dealt previously versus my most recent experience to fully grasp the magnitude of the situation. I recently had an issue with a refill. The original girl/woman I dealt with said she had a problem with her computer but she had written down my info and would process my order as soon as it was fixed. Some sort of system outage? I don't know, she sounded out of it and she had problems keeping up a normal conversation without really long pauses and trailing off only to come back saying something different, like she had forgotten what we just spoke about. She also seemed annoyed that I had called her. It wasn't the most professional but I was thinking she would take care of it right? I should have called back sooner to make sure it was completed, but I got busy and didn't think about it till I checked my credit card transactions and noticed Belmar had never charged me for my refill. I got worried and dreaded that call. My HRTs usually have to be compounded so I order early, this time I needed them before my trip so I made sure I called to give them 2 weeks, I learned the lesson to plan for delays. For that call, I ended up having a fairly short wait and spoke to Tanya this time. From the moment she answered, she seemed to actually want to help me. She was professional and apologized for the prior technician, then assured me she would do something about it, but I was understandably hesitant. During the call she got permission from a supervisor to do my refill urgently and had the refill to me before I left on my trip! I would have still been happy if the experience ended there, but it didn't. In order to get my refill quickly before I ran out, I had to accept a one month refill. I knew I'd need to call back at some point very soon to order the next refill and I told her I hoped I remembered to do that in the middle of my trip. To my surprise, after it was filled, I received an email from Tanya. Since she knew I was traveling, she told me she had set up my next refill to process on the first possible date, for a 3 month refill, to give it enough time to be made and shipped to me before I run out of the 1 month refill. I didn't ask her to do this and it was totally unexpected! She also gave me her direct extension so I can call her directly to ensure my refills are completed. It was a refreshing change from my previous experiences with Belmar or anywhere for that matter. Her customer service was EXCELLENT! She went far above and beyond what I expected and really earned my respect and future business. From now on, she's the only person I'll be speaking to! read more

Belmar has a lack of quality control & customer service! For many years I have enjoyed & referred others to what once was a competent & reliable pharmacy! However,... after being loyal for years... the scripts are now lost, not filled etc... with no communication as to status. I assumed it was in process.... but, not. Simply put, Belmar Pharmacy SUCKS! If I could give a zero rating I would. I have used Women's International Pharmacy for many years and got my compounded thyroid med from them with no issues. Now that Belmar bought them they only are making thyroid in tablets and don't provide patients with capsules anymore. What about those patients with sensitivities to fillers? Oh, that's right they don't care because it is all about money and not a person's health. These big corporations make me sick, taking over everything. Hey Belmar you really don't have the right to call yourself a compounding pharmacy if you are not customizing prescriptions and tailoring patients with specific needs. At first, I was impressed with this pharmacy. However, I just had an experience that left a sour taste in my mouth, and I do not plan to continue getting my prescriptions from them. I moved a few months ago, and made sure to update my address in their (very outdated) portal. I requested a refill a few days ago and everything seemed fine, then I got the tracking information and they had sent it to my old address several states away, where I cannot go to get it without it costing hundreds of dollars and time off work I do not have. I sent a message in the portal, as well as an email, and got no response. I had time to call today and while the staff was nice, they essentially told me that while they had made an error (not double checking that the address was correct), they could not resend it. I only had one refill available and they wasted it on a package that I have no way of getting, so now I am without my medication unless my previous provider approves this refill. I am thankfully establishing care with new providers in my new city, and am looking forward to not having to deal with the ineptitude of this place again. I hope they see this and learn from their mistakes, but as of right now I cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

I called to check on the status of my prescription as it was the first time that I had to use their company and already felt uneasy that I gave them my credit card info over the phone before they would even start processing it. I spoke to a woman named "Kristin" who was rude beyond belief. I asked the status and she just abruptly said 3-5 business days but never asked my name or what the script was or any info on it. I asked if that's it, she couldn't give more detail and she said (twice) "well that was your question wasn't it?" And then snickered under her breath. I asked to speak to someone else and she verified my info and told me what to expect next. I will NEVER use them again. Rather go without if that's the attitude they give to people who are literally paying OUT OF POCKET for medication and keeping them in business. read more

I just switched my prescriptions AWAY from Belmar to another compounding pharmacy. I've struggled with Belmar for about four years. The wait for my prescription has always been at least 10 days, often up to three weeks. They have more than once compounded the wrong dose(!). Quality control is terrible. The last straw was today, when my prescription ran out. Apparently, the last time it was filled, they had reduced it from a 90-day dose to a 60-day dose. AND NEVER TOLD ME. Now I have to wait at least 10 days without my meds. The customer service rep did nothing to help speed it along, telling me that they were running 7-10 days out (not including shipping). How can any of that be acceptable? read more

Disappointing responsiveness to filling scripts. My last two have taken 3+ weeks to receive in mail following Dr. sending the order. Before Belmar had the new vrs and website making refills easy it was a struggle. Even when I had the struggles they were always nice and went above and beyond to correct issues. They only way I would leave Belmar as a customer is if my prescriptions can be found elsewhere for less. I think they have made reorder super easy, you don't even need a username pw. Don't insult my intelligence!!!!!!!!!!This is my 2nd review. The first was bad enough, but now they sent me half of a prescription and they claimed that I didn't take the right dosage. When the AZ location was Women's Pharmacy, for 8years I had now issues and received my hormones within 3-4 days! Now it takes over 2 weeks and then they get either the dosage wrong or the amount of get sent! I've taken this supposedly same get that I took for 8years and now I'm confused!!! They also had the audacity to argue with my Dr. My physician just said we had to find another pharmacy and she didn't trust them! How dangerous for a pharmacy!!!!! I feel these women should be commended for their support,understanding and compassion they had for me considering my medication was not coming rom their office. Quickly i will try to tell you how I was so fortunate enough to reach them. For two weeks i was waiting for my medicine from the Florida office. Now my doctor's office that sent the prescription and advised me they are doing all they could but due to weather conditions in Kentucky , they could not find a carrier for overnight deliveries. I called the Florida office and they advised me that it's the weather. Finally after two weeks getting nowhere and this was paid in full on December 27,2024 I'm loosing my mind i need my medicine. I called Florida back but they were closed and recoding stated to call AZ, WI, office. I called the AZ office i was blessed by a women whose name was Trini, she was very professional, understanding and i felt really concerned. She advised me someone will return my call. I was like here we go. No joke in less than 10 minutes i get a call from Gina what a delight!!! she fixed this error and not only that she followed up with me the next day all the calls and the worry for two weeks went away in less than 10 minutes. The bottom line is Trini and Gina need to be praised. Their outstanding support and kindness is something that is not often found in these days. I cannot thank them enough you are shining stars also an asset to Belmar pharmacy. Do not hesitate to use Belmar they are a good pharmacy but now for me they are my only pharmacy. I also had the pleasure to speak with Kelsea the next day and she was also a pleasure and relayed a message to Gina for me. Please if you are using a compound pharmacy, use Belmar they are outstanding in customer service also they follow up to make sure your ok and have many options and information on their website. They came highly recommended, but what a nightmare to deal with, especially forms, billing and insurance. (They don't take insurance, so you're on your own to submit for reimbursement.) Took over a week to get the claim forms, then had to specifically ask for them to get signed (invalid without pharmacist's signature), then wait more for that. Prices fluctuate wildly (25-200%) from one refill to the next without warning or explanation. Customer service is a joke - long (10-20 min) hold times, after which you can count on more holds, a person who can't answer your question but is reasonably nice, more holding, another person who is rude and also doesn't care to answer your question, and suggests you send an email. This is more painful than the problem I was treating. read more

Belmar Pharmacy has compounding my Rx for several years now and I couldn't be more happy with their customer service, speed of filling my order and ease of doing business with them. It's a huge mess getting a compounded drug with Cigna insurance, so having to pay out of pocket and having to receive my Rx in the mail, they've made this necessity quite painless. I recommend them highly. Their phone tree had a few glitches, but I think they've fixed that. And when i did have a trouble with confirming a drug#, their staff understood what I was trying to do an cancelled redundant orders that I hadn't meant to place. I have to say that I have been disappointed. My Rx was called in on a Monday. By the next Monday I had heard nothing. My Dr had to call in a second time. She was told that staff got behind due to a holiday and inclement weather. Weather? Really? I can't have my medicine because it snows in Colorado? I'm medicine dependent. Getting "behind" and not filling Rxs in a timely manner is downright irresponsible. I've been without my meds for two weeks. Something is amiss at this establishment. Where is the required problem solving skill that comes with running a queue of Rxs? This is a pharmacy. When my Rxs are called into say a CVS, they are filled same day in a matter of hours. What on earth is causing weeks long delays here? I will ask my Dr to use a different pharmacy going forward. UPDATE: While I appreciate it, the response below does not address the issues I'm seeing. A prescription had to be called in twice, no one knew what was happening and a push was needed to get it filled. In my view, there was plenty of time to fill this Rx before a Thursday holiday, because it was called in on a Monday. Then, I don't think road conditions affect an ability to inform customers of delays. Was this Rx was lost in some kind of shuffle? It appears to me that maybe loss prevention, communication (along with timing) and time to fill tracking is in order so improvements can be made (and I hope they are). I appreciate the offer to make this order right, but this review is not about one order or me personally. Everyone needs their meds in a timely manner and to be informed about how that is going. read more

I've been prescribing through Belmar for years because their products are truly exceptional and their staff so easy to communicate with. I was frustrated recently with slow response times, my assumption being they're growing so fast they're having a hard time keeping up. This is not the worst kind of problem to have as their acclaim is well deserved AND, I've had great results contacting the product rep Tracy Hangley directly when time is of the essence. I have used Belmar for 10 years plus for my prescription needs from my naturopath. In the beginning it was amazing. But for the past few years it's been hit or miss. Sometimes the service is fast. The people are lovely there. But sometimes it is like pulling teeth to get my prescription in a timely manner. Hormones need to be constant. I ran out of my prescription while waiting for the my doctors new formula to be compounded but I don't believe the hormones she ordered is super special. I have tried to be understanding since I know this is a compounding pharmacy where they have to make the meds but I think people need to receive updates and I think some meds need to be prioritized. Keep working on your system Belmar. Price seems to be going up but for the price I expect a faster turn around. read more

Also, they've worked with my Doctor to make sure that that I can receive my Bio-identical hormone prescriptions in the most cost-effective way! Normally I never write reviews, but this pharmacy told me they shipped my medication on 11/12 (a couple days after I ordered it), when in reality they didn't ship it until 10 days later on 11/22, after I called to ask the whereabouts of my medication. Two months ago, I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. Never had a problem. But in November, I placed an order for a refill and requested a call back because my cc # had changed. Nothing: no response, no refill. I left additional messages checking on the refill and requesting a call back and still heard nothing. In December, I called my Dr's office and had them send over a new prescription to see if that would work. Again, no response and no prescription. At this point, I'm having symptoms due to not having my compounded prescription available to use. Now it's after the holidays and my Dr. has faxed the prescription again, and she called and left a message. Still waiting for a response. Seems like I need to find a new pharmacy. The first time I used this pharmacy, it was three weeks before I received communication on my prescription. By then my doctor decided to use a local compounding pharmacy. The second time we gave them a try, it was perfect, hence the two stars instead of one. My prescription came quickly. The last time, they contacted me more than a day after my Rx was called in. I immediately called Belmar. Since I was nearly out of the prescription, (my doctor had me double up), I requested that it be overnight shipped. Also, I requested it be shipped to my summer address. The woman on the phone repeated my requests to me with my address change and rush shipping. Today is now 10 days since the Rx was ordered. It never arrived. No, it is not lost. It was shipped to the wrong address AND not rushed. It is still not at that address. When I emailed to complain I received a scathing email stating it was not requested to be rushed. Not true. I repeated myself three times. I was unaware when I received the email that it was also not shipped to the correct address, the address their representative repeated back to me. I had a great experience with them. They were recommended on a forum I'm a part of after I shared an experience I had with a compounding pharmacy near me who charged four times what I'd read the medication should cost. Belmar was in the normal range of the medication cost, and I'm grateful they were so easy to work with. They kindly answered my questions before I asked my doctor to send the prescription to them.
