This place is so awful. The staff are horribly rude and unhelpful and when you feel terrible and the whole reason you're there is to get needed prescriptions, it makes things so much worse when they are horrible and literally cannot find your prescription in stock even though they said t was ready. read more

Rude lady checked me out and said "you know you can just press the button for help right? So someone can come up and help you?" As if that's not her job to be paying attention to the front anyways? Then proceeded to tell me menthols were illegal in golden which I can understand but was also rude about it. I just don't understand the attitude. read more

My experience here was brief and this is not a store anywhere near my house. I needed to buy condoms, lube and a razor. I found all three items quickly, one item with the friendly assistance of a staff member. The store is neat, clean and tidy. There is plenty of safe and well lit parking. I drove 25 minutes to this Walgreens because they had the travel vaccine I needed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my insurance covered it. Dr. Britt was very patient and answered all my question. Great job!! I definitely recommend this location and Dr. Britt. read more

This is by far the worst pharmacy in Golden. They never take responsibility for their critical errors. They'll hang up on you, they'll blame it on their app. They'll even tell you to find another pharmacy before taking responsibility! If you care for yourself or your loved ones, you won't fill your prescriptions here. Your best interest is not their priority and neither is your safety or health! Forewarned this place is dangerous! My rating has changed from 5* in 2018 to 1* 2021 due to the fact that their prescription system has failed me (I have Medicare and the United Healthcare Walgreens prescription insurance coverage). Historically, I was notified when my prescriptions were being processed and again when they were ready for pickup, additionally, they would request a new prescription from my PCP when the refills were about to expire. I am nearly out of my 2 prescriptions and when I was finally able to reach someone last week, they blamed my PCP for not responding to their messages. When I contacted my PCP yesterday, I was informed that they had not received any requests from Walgreens. I attempted to call Walgreens 3 times yesterday and when the automated message claimed that I was next in line, after being on hold for 30 minutes, I was disconnected all 3 times. Totally frustrated, I contacted United Healthcare to transfer my account from Walgreens to a mail order company. Additionally, I find their prices incredibly high. For instance I needed a supply last year, Walgreens was charging nearly $8 and Amazon was charging less than $5 for exactly the same item. My neighbors have complained about long lines at the pharmacy and cashier station. Their loyalty program is a joke!! Furthermore, when I switched my prescriptions to a mail order company, one of my prescriptions decreased from $47.40 to $16.51 for the same 90 day supply. I do not know how they are still in business!! I'd find another pharmacy rather than give this one your business. read more

I have used this pharmacy for the last 5 years and in that time their staaff has made some egregious errors. Once, I went to pick up one medication. The assistant handed me six medications for another person. It's not like he had a similar name or address. Intoloerable. Yet another time, the same assistant double-charged me which is incredible given their automated software. Finally, I had my prescriptions transferred to another store and the Walgreens software verified that this was done correctly. However, this store apparently does not update their data from the main Walgreens Software program and continued to fill my prescriptions. This caused alerts from my Insurance company which delays future refills from the store I transferred to. Never, ever go to this Walgreens. read more

It's an ok store to shop in but, I give up on the pharmacy. They're nice helpful folks in person but, they get a bit of a not so sharp crowd so you'll be in line a while. Even that is ok but, I have tried for 3 days straight to get a prescription refilled that in the past months, they have filled automatically and texted me it was ready - great. Didn't happen this month and I've called and sat on hold for well over 20 minutes 3 days in a row and, when it comes my turn - I get hung up on. Probably some system/phone problem, who knows but, I'm done with them. I'll go to Target like my wife, where the service is excellent and efficient. Looks like others have the same problem there. I wish businesses would stay open to their posted hours. Pharmacy is supposed to be open to 9. Pharmacist was walking out before 8:55. Ridiculous. Five more minutes wouldn't have killed him to help somebody who needs their medication. It's not like walking into a restaurant at the last minute. He still would have left on time. read more

This is a review for the Golden, Colorado store on Golden Rd. The team working today was AWESOME! My daughter is in college, found out she has Covid, so I placed a delivery order to be dropped at the dorms. They had everything to her within 30 minutes even though I made a typo in the dorm address! The driver was kind enough to text her and tell her he was having problems finding the location - she was able to provide the correct address and he arrived within minutes with all the items. Truly a WONDERFUL delivery experience and I would recommend it to everyone. Just wish we knew the drivers name so we could send a big thank you to the manager! read more

Waited over an hour for a prescription only to have some lady snap at me at the window. Being sick sucks but this Walgreens is suckier!

I went to pick up my prescription yesterday at 8pm, they are open to 9pm, the pharmacy is closed. I went this morning to fill my prescription, a sign is on the window stating they are closed all day today. Sadly this is not the first time this has happened, but will be the last time I ever use this very unreliable pharmacy. read more

Pharmacists are professional and helpful. Unfortunately, pharmacy techs are not. I pick up regular monthly prescriptions and order a few days ahead on line. Have used this pharmacy for well over a year, and Walgreen for decades. Emails notify me of meds ready when they're not, need for physician contact when I have refills (although I don't get the info until I arrive at the store to pick them up), online record omits some medications entirely, recently I was informed by one tech that my prescription had been filled somewhere in another state and then left as if it were my problem. When I gave a telephone number as requested to help access my account, I was told no such account existed. When unable to answer online questions, they often simply vanish from the conversation. When asked by telephone for clarification, more than one has been irritable and quite rude, on more than one occasion. I realized just how discouraging the problem had become when this morning I stopped myself from checking on a prescription status because the process was so consistently frustrating and unpleasant. I'd rather drive to Lakewood than repeatedly be treated badly. read more

I love this pharmacy and store! Jim, a pharmacist, works so quickly and he is extremely knowledgable. He is always finding savings for my husband and I on our prescriptions. He knows us by name and always goes the extra distance to make sure we are taken care of. Thank you Jim. I went to the Golden Walgreens pharmacy location to fill a Perscription. I had a Discount coupon for my Perscription. They would not accept it and wanted to charge me full price around $190.00. I went to another Walgreens, they filled the Perscription and honored the coupon. I almost paid a $115.63 more than I had to. read more

I made an online appointment last Thursday for vaccination for this Sunday and was confirmed via email of my appointment. I then received a reminder for on Saturday for the appointment. So on Sunday I arrived at the pharmacy on time, Only to be told that they ran out of the vaccine since Thursday. I could either go to a different store or come back on Monday. It was a complete waste of time. I couldn't Believe a pharmacy couldn't change the appointment or at least email or call to reschedule. Never will I get vaccinations at Walgreens. read more

Since I was just visiting Golden and not quite familiar with the layout of the store, I would find myself walking up and down the aisles looking for what I needed. I supposed a staff member saw me looking kind of lost so he offered to help me find what I needed several times. It was very much appreciated. As far as selection goes this location has what any Walgreens has. The customer relations on the other hand was abominable this morning. They are running a charity drive, selling red noses to help children. Great, I have no problem with that. The clerk asked how many red noses I would like. I responded "no red noses, thank you." She replied with "Gotta help those kids." After a pause while I am standing there with a polite smile thinking that was a little pushy she continues with "I hope you can sleep well." This is absolutely outside the scope of acceptable customer interaction for me. In the future I will shop at the pharmacy in the King Soopers across the street, where it turns out the product I was looking for is 2/3 the price. read more

Was treated soooo poorly by management, Natali. I was actually told to go f myself. There's a new system in which insurance pays for some OTC products. After spending almost an hour carefully checking labels to be sure I had all approved products, I get to the register only to have about $60 of a $150 sale covered (now mind you, this gets paid by s MasterCard, so even though it's free for me, it's still a legitimate sale for Walgreens itself) I asked to have a manager help me. I didn't give the cashier a hard time, I didn't even expect him to know the system that well, if at all. It's only 4 months into the making. Well, when she told me, oh well, there's nothing I can do, I explained I spent forever, with a baby who was steadily becoming cranky and she just gave me an "oh well, whatever" attitude. I asked for a real manager, a store manager. She gave me his card and said he'd be ba k the next day. As I walked out the door she told me to go f myself. I was with my baby, so I just looked back and shook my head. I didn't bother calling next day, just went to a nicer, cleaner, bigger, and closer locale. It turns out, Golden had products mislabeled as covered, when they weren't. 2 managers from the belmar location helped me with everything and that was the problem with golden. As a result, the belmar location nabbed a $180 sale and golden lost not only me, but many others I told my experience to as a customer. If Natali had taken a little time, like the 2 managers at the other location, to actually help, instead of being lazy and rude, they would've kept me as a regular customer. The pharmacy employees are extremely kind, timely, and willing to help with explaining medications or even trouble shooting insurance problems. They always greet me with a smile, regardless of how long the line. I recently dropped off an anti-malarial prescription for leaving the country and they reminded me to start filling it months in advance so I wouldn't have to pay for most of it out of pocket. The pharmacist that I have dealt with is Jim and I couldn't believe how rude he was to me...not once but MULTIPLE times. I can't stand it any longer so I moved all of my prescriptions to a different Walgreens. Don't use this pharmacy unless you want to be treated like crap.
