I have used Bellizzi Tree service to remove some small trees including grinding stumps below ground level, and tree trimming. Work quality and cleanup were excellent. This month, and for the past several months, Chris helped me navigate getting a Campbell city permit to remove a large 4-foot diameter diseased tree; after that and trying to get contractor assistance from PG&E, since the upper tree was above some high voltage power lines, Chris and crew targeted a weather window with no rain, and completely removed the tree and ground the stump in two days, and cleaned up all debris from the tree site. I was very impressed by the work Chris did for me. He is a skilled tree trimmer (and rock climber who zips up trees effortlessly) who really listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. I've contact this service twice over the last month. First time the answerer said he'd text me and never did. Yesterday someone said they'd call me back as they were driving, they never did. I will try to re review if they ever get back to me. What good is a service you can't use??? I've now returned to UPDATE: The business finally returned my calls and scheduled a estimate after quite an ordeal. I was unhappy with the estimate. I had my money returned by Amazon local as even with their coupon I found other vendors less expensive. I've since had the work handled very nicely by the other vendor and I'm satisfied with their timeliness. Best I can say is buyer beware with Bellizzi trees service company. Lastly, I was contacted about my review and given several excuses for the issues. First, I didn't appreciate the contact; as, I feel if you own a business and can't personally contact for scheduling or whatever, you should hire someone, or have a spouse or friend help you out. We found the work the Bellizzi Tree Service team did on our trees to be excellent. When Chris came out for the estimate, we found him to be very knowledgeable about trees. Once the work was completed, I had to keep going outside and admiring how the birch trees look in the front yard. You can see the beautiful white trunk and branches all the way to the top! The team was here bright and early and left having tidied everything up. It looked so nice it compelled us to go mow the lawns so that the yard looked extra polished! Called to get a bid for a redwood removal. Didn't get a estimate that day. In fact didn't even get an estimate until two weeks later after it was removed. Though the estimate was cheaper than the rest... but required removing fencing and another tree blocking the side gate. read more

The service I received from Chris Bellizzi was top notch. He delivered the same day I called which was unexpected!!! The wood was mixed hardwood including mostly oak and other great hardwoods. I have a very small tree in a small courtyard. I have two estimates from other highly rated tree services that say this trimming job is less than their $300 minimum and it would cost $300. So I bought the Amazon Local deal for $300 worth of service for $150 from Mr. Bellizzi. It sounded like a great deal. Well, it took 7 weeks of frequent emails, texts, and phone calls to get him to come out. He came out yesterday and I thought he would do the work, but he just did an estimate. He wanted to charge an additional $150 to trim the tree and an additional $75 to haul the trimmings. Including the $300 coupon that is a total of $525 for the estimate. He said it is "only" costing me $375. which is still way more that the other tree services minimum. So where is the deal? He claimed the tree was hard to get to. It is, there are wall on two sides and a fence in back (about 6' clearance on each side and 3' in back). But there is also a flat garage roof right beside it that you can stand on and trim the whole tree (that's what I have done in the past, the tree is only 25' to 3-' high and not big around). He also complained that the trimmings would be difficult to haul off. That is sort of true, in that they have to go through the 32" wide side door to the garage. No one else complains about that, and I never had any trouble with it, so I wonder if he is just not well equipped to do this work? He also complained about the distance, but this work was at the corner of Meridian and Blossom Hill, which is pretty darn close to Campbell. Anyway, I was now way over the 30 day refund policy for Amazon Local, but I sent them an email and got a refund within an hour! I love Amazon, there is no better customer service anywhere, period. Mr. Bellizzi could learn from them. read more
