Chris himself is super knowledgeable. Very nice, honest, professional guy. His team came on time and they were very nice as well. Cleaned up everything and didn't leave a mess behind. The tree looks so clean! He was recommended to me by my neighbor and now I'm recommending him to whoever reads this. So glad to have found a great tree trimmer. Thanks Chris and team! read more

This person pushed for early morning appointment but never showed up. Wasted an hour of timing waiting for the guy but I decided to do the work on my own so never used their service. No wonder 1 star rating. The guy further argued that he was late for ONLY 45 min AND he tried to let me know that he is late. He LIED. In fact he kept telling me he is almost there but ended up not showing up at all. The pics tell everything. He does not respect others time and he tried to argue instead of trying to make up after you post a bad review. read more

We have been using Chris with Bellizzi Tree service for over 15 years now. We have multiple trees on our property that need a good grooming every year or so. They don't butcher the trees like I have seen in other yards. Chris and his crew thoughtfully choose the branches that need trimming, opening up the tree and lifting the canopy. I can see the beautiful white bark on my birch trees, etc. He won't take your business if it's not the right time for the health of your trees. That's when I knew they really care. We are always pleased with his service and highly recommend them! read more

Chris is super cool. Very up front and straight to the point, and great to deal with. He got me mad logs straight to my house and now I'm good for the season. He came with a truck, dumped it, and literally just saved my life since now my family will be warm all winter long. Don't expect help past that though; you gotta handle your own logs. Pay him in cash and give him the honor he deserves! He's legit, I'll order again next year. read more

After 30 inches of rain during spring 2011 for 3 months, my beloved big shamel ash tree definitely need a new hair-cut that is long due. I gave a call to Chris Bellizzi, the owner of Bellizzi Tree Service and had him visit my place to estimate the work. The operation cost for this work is within my expectation and reasonable. Chris offered me a 10% discount and required bank check as payment. After the day of operation is confirmed, I dropped a note to my surrounding neighbors and allow them to have attentions about the tree trimming as a courtesy. The whole team showed up @7:30am in my place with 2 trucks and 1 branch-chopper on time. It took the crew 30 minutes to setup everything and brainstorms for the trimming. From 8:00am to 12:00pm, the whole team worked hard to trim the tree and removed the extra branches. They also chopped the branches right on the spot. Two members are always up on the tree like acrobats and the others are down on the ground picking up branches and stumps. From 12:00pm to 1:00pm, they wrapped up the job by cleaning up after themselves. The big shamel ash finally got the good-looking hair-cut it deserved and the whole team did a wonderful job! I wish Chris take credit card, so I don't need to raise cash fund into my account in a rush. Thanks Chris and his crew for delivering the great tree service on my property. I highly endorse and recommend Bellizzi Tree Service. read more

Chris and his team get high marks for the three P's. Professional, Prompt, Price. I had a huge forest in my backyard that needed to be removed so I could put in an addition to my house. Three 70' nasty pine trees (huge!), two mature eucalyptus, and one mature black walnut. They worked fast and safely. Chris provided excellent service at the best possible price. He's insured, licensed and bonded. Beware other tree people who offer cut-rate service, chances are, they aren't insured. Chris is fully insured and is the best around. read more

Chris saved our tree! We were told by a neighbor that our huge Modesto ash tree was cracking. We contacted the City of Saratoga. The arborist declared the tree dying and we could cut it down. We were very sad the tree is over 45 years old and provides shade in the afternoon. We called Chris and he came by within 24 hours to take a look and quote the work. The tree was cut back to reduce the weight and we expect it to recover with the "diet" Bellizzi Tree Service gave it. The guys were on time, did a great job and cleaned everything up. We have seen a few homeless squirrels running around looking for their nests. I can now park my car under the tree. read more

I can't stand this guy. It took 3 weeks for him to come out and give me an estimate. After approving the estimate he contacted me on a Sunday afternoon and said that he wanted to come out Monday AM. I told him that I was on a fishing trip with my son and that I wanted to be present when they did the work. My wife called me on Monday morning and said that the tree guys were here cutting the trees. I cut my trip short and arrived home late afternoon... too late, the trees were butchered. He also charged me $100 to move the patio furniture! There is another bad review for this company and the owner uses his back problems as an excuse... his excuse to me for taking 3 weeks to get the estimate was his truck broke down. Don't use this guy! read more

Chris has maintained my liquid ambers for the last decade and has done a tremendous job. Chris and his crew have always showed up on time and maintained the trees beautifully. These trees are one of the first things that attracted us to our house in 1997 and they are still healthy and robust thanks to Chris and his team. Also fun to watch them do their work up on the high branches...not a job for the faint of heart. Highly recommend Bellizzi Tree Service. read more

Belizzi tree service has completed work for me at home and at my business. The crew was always timely, clean and good with communication. They kept our huge spruce tree looking fantastic and healthy with trimming every 2 years. They also shaped trees on a fence line sculpting them to hide a power line. On another visit they were able to trim away a rogue root lifting up a concrete walkway right next to our house. I was concerned about potential damage to the walkway, our house and the tree. They were able to remove the root, save the walkway from damage, save the tree and keep our house in perfect condition. They have completed many other tree projects for us over the years with excellence. I absolutely recommend Chris Belizzi and crew - they will keep your property looking terrific and maintain healthy trees. read more

I had a huge pile of dead trees to have chipped. Chris and his crew attacked it with vigor and heavy machinery. Thanks for a great job!

Really pleased with their professionalism and quality of work. They guys also wore masks, which at this time is a sensible precaution.

We had 3 large over grown trees that needed some TLC. Bellizzi did an amazing job on the trees. I am still amazed every time I walk out side and see that the trees not only look good but are now safe, which is very important. I would definitely use them again. Professional and friendly. read more

Had a very good experience with Bellizzi Tree Service. We called after a terrible storm that did major damage to a large tree in our backyard. Half the tree had broken off and the other half was precariously leaning toward the house. Chris gave us a reasonable estimate over the phone via emailed photos. The team was out in a few hours and had the entire tree removed by end of day. They left the entire area clean and swept. Since the area was so wet they couldn't initially grind the stump but did come back to finishing the job in a reasonable amount of time. We were very appreciative of the swift service. It likely saved us from house damage since the storm continued for several days afterwards. Thanks! read more

Had a very good experience working with Chris and his guys. Chris is flexible with very reasonable rates, and worked with us when we had to adjust the quote a little on the fly. These guys are amazingly fast and efficient at their work- we had a large plum tree, 5 smaller trees, and several large bushes removed, as well as various tree trimming and clean up done and it took the team of 2 only about 2-3 hours to complete the work and generally clean the yard. I was very impressed, and would not hesitate to reach out again the next time we need more tree work done. read more

I have a large Eucalyptus that I had Chris and his crew do several years go. He climbed it himself up 100 ft with block and tackle to trim this tree for over a day. They cleaned up great and left and I was very happy. Over the following years I had a few other tree service firms do a trim while doing other work on my property and ended up being disappointed in both the higher price and poor workmanship. The last time I needed the tree trimmed, I called Chris back. I reminded him what he did last time and how happy I was. He told me that he has become bigger had a few crews doing contracts with the city of Cupertino. He assigned a crew of his to come back and do the work. Well -- When the boss is gone -- they left doing 1/2 the job Chris did before and left debris all over the driveway. The big problem occurred in when I called and talked to Chris, he told me that he discussed the job issues with his crew leader and then told me that he said the job was done correctly. He did not even take the time of even coming to inspect it himself. Chris told me that since what I paid ten years earlier the prices had increased and if I wanted a full trim job, it would be much more than what he quoted. At the time he quoted, he never mentioned doing 1/2 job or full job and wanted to charge me close to what he did originally because I was a "repeat" customer. Well not anymore. In Reply to Chris's comment: What service company would call his customer a liar? What possible benefit would I have to make my comments unless a real issue existed. All he had to do was to come back and take a look at it while I was there to discuss it with him. I called him back a second time specifically because he did a great job himself when he lead the crew. it prices had increased, I would be more than understanding but he did not mention that when he quoted. read more
