Sean took care of filing the permit for the street tree and worked within my schedule. The crew arrived on time and did a great job expertly extracting the plum tree, grinding down the main trunk and a lateral root. They took their time to remove dead wood areas and shape the larger trees to comply with city regulations but still retain shape and shade. Same was done with the shrubs/trees in the backyard, improving spacing from the house and reducing height to not block solar panels. All debris was removed and ground up in their wood chipper. Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They did a great job on the trees, cleaned up all the debris completely, and even used a blower to make sure they didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend JC Tree Experts. They simply could not have done a better job!

This is exactly why I waited to post--I find this level of monitoring and personal contact highly invasive and unprofessional. Hired this company to remove a tree. First of all, I know it's a very demanding business and risky at that. And things come up all the time, but what is unacceptable is accountability. I had an appointment and the day of the person was nowhere to be seen. I could not get a hold of Xavier. He finally responded after numerous calls. I have several friends in this business and they said that they at least apologize when they over schedule and things come up. Again, I understand this. But at least apologize for the lack of communication. An apology goes a long way!

Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND! We were so impressed with Carlos's expertise, professionalism, and customer service that we've already engaged his family's landscaping division (Zazueta Landscaping) to assess our entire front and backyard for a complete re-do. Kitty Rescue: This may not be on his website but Chris was our Climbing Angel. We had a 4 month old kitten stuck in a huge 70 foot pine tree. Of course she was at the top. After several calls to everyone from PG&E to the humane society, posting on Nextdoor and everyone/everywhere in between, we found Chris. Kitty was scared hungry, thirsty and had already spent a freezing night in the tree. Chris was able to come over, put on a backpack and scale up the tree. Grooming the tree on the way up. He reached our kitty and placed her in the backpack and scaled on down. I can't explain our sense of relief, excitement and overwhelming joy to have our little kitty back on the ground. Chris Bellizzi and his crew did an amazing job on our trees. Both days they showed up between 7:30 A.M. and 7:45 A.M. ready to go. He dropped another load in our driveway the next morning, as requested, of wonderful maple and redwood chips. We had a 60' tree that started leaning precipitously just prior to the big rain bomb last Sunday. Chris and the Bellizzi team came out on a day's notice and extensively trimmed the tree taking off considerable weight allowing the tree to weather the storm. Skyview Tree crew of Santa Clara County trespassed through back neighbor yard and shared fence onto…read morefamily yard with healthy old growth ordinance sized Redwood tree on Thursday November 20th, 2025 without an appointment or notification. They had no county-required permit, and no 811 service was pre-marked around the yard before they arrived. The healthy, majestic, sacred and irreplaceable Redwood tree only needed simple pruning/trimming and had been inspected not long before this travesty caused by Skyview crew who removed hundreds of branches from the Redwood. They ignored my demands for them to stop, continued removing all branches, topping the tree, essentially to poach the wood. I contacted to Santa Clara County Arborist Inspectors San Jose Code Enforcement plus tried reaching Skyview Trees before they topped the very top of the tree. There's also a Skyview Trees business in Rohnert Park/Sonoma County with Arborist certifications, accreditations licenses in business much longer than Marisa and Jaime's company - The Skyview Tree Services crewman who trespassed and began poaching away the healthy Redwood used their license number 949233 under false pretenses to botch the Redwood up so badly it could no longer survive... a form of passive tree poaching, with permit and 811 violations to boot. Code Enforcement Director, II David Parker 408-535-7759 david1.parker@sanjoseca.gov verified the otherwise healthy ordinance sized old growth, protected California Redwood Tree was unnecessarily topped by Skyview crew after they purposely over-pruned hundreds and hundreds of virile old growth branches off the entire trunk of the neighborhood ecology and my family's sacred Redwood Tree. We never even received written or verbal notification to expect tree crewmen encroaching our private, personal yard and tree through the neighbor's yard by Skyview, nor the housing community management and community groundskeeper... This was an opportunistic tree poaching by Skyview and who knows what all their cohorts against a senior citizen's family home. Even the common area groundskeeper seemed to be in cahoots with Skyview and two weeks, December 4th after commicating again with Arbortist and Code Enforcement, he physically attacked me, causing multiple serious injuries, a 911 call. Law enforcement did file a report regarding that brutality and also the Redwood tree poaching attempt from November 20th. I had contacted 811 after that incident from November shortly thereafter due to the Skyview tree crew not having permits, and damages they caused as extremely skilled trespassers/poachers/tree-removers with expensive work trucks and heavy equipment. The areas Skyview Tree crewmen encroached were not premarked nor flagged prior to their intrusion on November 20th, 2025 and same thing before they trespassed again to finish poaching all the Redwood trunk full of highly valuable heartwood on Monday February 9th 2026. This time a permit had been issued a by Code Enforcement for "Dead Tree Removal", because Skyview intentionally murdered the Redwood Tree - and no doubt in my mind they had been eyeing the tree for some time while doing palm tree maintenance in the neighborhood common areas. This company has violated my family's deeply religiously held property and rights multiple times in addition to professional standards they purposely and knowingly disregarded to poach the sacred Redwood, all it's branches and timber. Redwood Tree poaching under pretenses of pruning/trimming (intentional over pruning and topping of healthy, ordinance sized old growth California Redwood) without permit in November 2025, and also no 811 premarking of areas is the legacy of Skyview license number 949233 to me - do your research about quality tree professionals not tree poachers with plenty of heavy and expensive equipment... They stole tons of Redwood lumber from our yard, including heartwood and mulch. And many of the yard stepping stones were damaged by their heavy equipment. Unforgettably beyond heartbreaking, Skyview's corruption.. Marisa and Jaime Mendosa 949233 need further investigation currently about their past and alleged "professionalism" guise regarding connections in California and other states, countries to tree poachers.

We were so impressed with Carlos's expertise, professionalism, and customer service that we've already engaged his family's landscaping division (Zazueta Landscaping) to assess our entire front and backyard for a complete re-do. Instead of cutting the branches smaller to drag it out then dragged out large branches scratching the side of the house and damaged my down spout gutter. The contracted said they are not liable for any pipe damage, but this is clearly damage to my gutter that could have been avoided. I probably won't be going with them again.

The day that I let Mike know that I was going to hire them he was able to set up an appointment for that day. I wish I had taken before and after pictures of the two trees that were trimmed . I was very happy with the job. The tree trimmer really knows his job. Trees look great not like a hatchet job by somebody who didn't know what they were doing. I will be hiring them the next time my trees need trimming.
