Some updates since my last visit. I went for a regular manicure. The tools she used looked new but the package was already opened when she took them out of her drawer. I got cut twice when she was cleaning my cuticles and she didn't say sorry. Yes I was bleeding. My manicure lasted longer than expected. Place still looks the same but I think prices have gone up. Some prices are actually more expensive than others in the neighborhood. I'll still go here if I need a quick appointment. read more

Found this salon summer of covid when I was searching in Bayside for a new clean and covid-compliant salon. None were up to par imo. So I ventured into Great Neck, 15 minutes away, and so glad I did. Been doing to Bellissimo for 4 years and get a better manicure and pedicure that anywhere else. They take their time and all do a great job, nice selection of new polish as well. I'm so obsessed with the way my mani pedi came out! Such a great first time experience. Place was very clean, they were very nice. My only thing is that I kind of had to tell the lady doing my nails what to do/to fix spots that were looking lumpy. However, final product came out great! read more

This salon is a little off the beaten path from the LIRR station but only a couple blocks away. The ladies are all very nice who work here- owner is Gina. The salon is clean and it has a nice Pandora soundtrack playing in the background...Jack Johnson, Frank Sinatra, etc. They always offer me water, chamomile or green tea. They make a nice atmosphere and no weird vibe gossiping in native tongues going on around you (unlike the place down the street where I used to go). They have wonderful spa pedicures and I've really enjoyed all the products they've used on me (creams, scrubs, etc). Jessie gives a great chair massage. I've also had waxing done by Gina- who is good. I'm so glad to have this little oasis of bliss so nearby. Give them a try if you haven't! read more

I'm very sad to write this review ... I love how Bellissimo does powered gel nails but the customer service was very poor. The other day I walked in for my 3:30 pm appointment and the owner said no your appointment was at 2:30pm. I explained I didn't make it for 2:30 pm as I only get out of work at 2:20. She said oh I'm sorry I had 2:20. I said no problem I will wait how long? She stated no availability today come back tomorrow morning. I explained I couldn't as it was my bridal shower and I have no time in the am. She said I'm sorry come back next time. That was it... very upsetting because of this incident I would never go back again. read more

I'm very surprised at the good reviews. I won a $10 manicure from this salon at a charity dinner so needing a mani-pedi and a pre vacation wax, I decided to try them. The salon itself is very old and worn looking. I don't have an issue with that but it didn't look all that clean either. They weren't particularly friendly, which I find off putting when I'm a new customer. The whole experience seemed OK but subpar for most places in Great Neck. The pedicure bath was with tepid water, I was carrying my boots, coat and bag from station to station, there was no offer of help. I didn't get polish on my nails and tipped on the full amount despite the $10 discount. My boots were still at the pedicure station, my coat and bag by the couch. It was 25 degrees outside- there was no discussion about wrapping my toes so I could avoid going home with bare feet. Adding to the problem, when I awoke this morning my big toe was throbbing, infected and red along the side. I have a concern that if they aren't cleaning the salon itself they aren't meticulous about their equipment either and this has resulted in my nail infection. Anyway. A friend of the family recommended this place and I love it. I moved here in October, and I've been coming here every two weeks for my color gel manicure. If you come Monday through Wednesday they discount manis and pedis. Their prices are quite decent. This place is super clean. For manicures, they put this special scrub on your hands before they moisturize them and it's really quite excellent. Every person there is friendly and good - so far, I've used most every person in there. I've done waxing (eyebrow and lip), manicures, pedicures, and massages; all of these services were excellent. read more

I've been to my share of nail salons over the years. While this one is attractive and clean that is where the positives end. I was treated brusquely...even rudely. I had a pedicure that was little more than a nail polish change. The massage that followed was also little more than perfunctory. No one there was interested in making my pedicure into the relaxing indulgence that it is. My daughter accompanied me. She was satisfied with her experience. I will never go back to this salon. $10 for a simple manicure sounds like a deal to me! They also have nail polish that lasts longer than the typical OPI or Essie brands (7 days to 10 days) for an extra few bucks so I opted to try that....I'm on day 3 and my nails still look fabulous! This might be my new go-to nail salon! read more

This salon is very clean, and is very convenient because its a 3 min walk from the LIRR. I've been to a lot of Nail salons and I really don't think I've ever had such a great experience. I didn't have to wait even for a minute, they're clean and they're very friendly. I got a Gel manicure for 20$ which is overall pretty cheap. I didn't feel rushed at all and it was a very relaxing experience. I will definitely go back! read more

This salon changed owners. The owner herself is very nice. We were three women having mani/pedis. The pedicure was rushed. I don't think the girl doing the pedicure ever looked at my feet.
