We have been going there for years. Our groomer Brandon was awesome, and unfortunately moved away. I have had the worst experience and I am hoping to speak to a manager or owner before I give my full review. Holly at the desk is absolutely the rudest person I have ever spoke with. Emily the groomer just acts like she doesn't like our dogs. This is a huge disappointment since we've been customers there for many years. My dog Louie was sick today and was throwing up. Holly told me our groomer had no other appts until our next groom in February. She said since Louie was sick and Mia, our other dog was not, they would have to charge me a fee for Mia not showing up for her appt today. I have had nothing but difficulty and negativity since our groomer moved. I asked Holly to speak to a manager or owner and she told me they would not be returning my call and we were no longer welcome there. This is after I asked her to cancel my upcoming appts that were booked each month this year. I am sure that Louie and Mia are much better not going to this place. But it is still upsetting that this is the loyalty we receive for being a customer with recurring appts every 2 weeks for years, and this is how they would treat us. read more

We love our groomer Abby. Let me back up. We moved here June of last year and started looking for a groomer a couple months later. We had the hardest time, people wouldn't take Koda because of his breed or only took little dogs and we're booked out for months. I spoke to my coworker and she mentioned Bellevue pet adventures. I called and got them in within a couple of weeks. Abby does an amazing job with our fur babies and would even work with Koda when he had leg problems. She would groom him while he was laying down the entire time. We have taken them to daycare, and they now look forward to going all the time. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Today we went to drop off our dog for a full groom, we always drop them off at 6:00am. Today no lights no humans insight. After driving all the way there I had to take my fur babies home. At this point I am late for work. After talking to someone they informed me they now don't open until 6:30am. We have been bringing our dog there for over 7 years, and always had good service. We were not notified a month ago when I made the appointment about a change of hours. I am so upset that 5 days before Christmas and I was unable to get my dogs groomed. Now I am in search of a new groomer. We no longer use this facility. read more

I dropped my dog off for grooming and went about my business. I received VM that Duke needed kennel cough vaccine with an apology that they didn't tell me earlier. No problem I said, drove the 30 min back to pick dog up and reschedule after I got his vaccine. (I was under the assumption that only kenneled dogs needed it but it was not an issue - I said I would get it). Then a different woman, Christina, told me I needed to pay her $16.50 for a late/missed appointment charge. What? I didn't miss an appointment. They cancelled the appointment and I returned to get my dog. Christina didn't care -- "it's policy!" she kept repeating. After she said they don't waive the fee even in cases where it was THEM that neglected to tell me he needed that vaccine when I called for appt and again when I dropped dog off. She said it was my fault -- I should have noticed the signs on the wall! I cannot believe a business owner would adhere to such poor customer service. I know Christina isn't the owner so perhaps the owner would not have insisted I pay this fee. I finally realized I didn't want to leave my dog in this woman's hands and left. For good. read more

I just wanted to share an unfortunate experience with Bellevue Pet Adventures. Any photos posted in the comments should be viewed at your discretion. Some are gruesome. When I dropped my dogs off, I specifically asked them if their play area was open and about leash walking. I was assured that the play areas were not open and that they would be leash walked five times a day. Fast forward, I get a call saying that Blue jumped the fence, but that Bella attempted to and got caught on the fence. Her paw was injured but they said it was just a scrape and emailed me the picture in the comments. They said that the owner wanted to "try out the new enclosures". The next day, I got another call saying her leg had swelled and she wasn't walking on it. They did not mention taking her to the vet, and they kept saying she was acting fine otherwise. Because she wasn't walking on it, I wanted Bella to be seen, so I made them take her in. The vet calls me and tells me that it was not just a scrape and that her leg had a significant puncture wound that had gotten infected. Her leg was filling with fluid and heading towards an abscess, and that if I didn't treat it, it would lead to significant problems for Bella. I also posted the photos the vet sent in the comments. I had them treat my dog and paid the vet bill over the phone. I had specifically asked about leash walking because I KNOW my dogs jump fences, and had someone mentioned the enclosures were going to open or called to ask if they could be let into an enclosure, I would have advised them that they jump. Anyways, I come home expecting there to be a discount for the vet charge, but I was hit with the full vet bill and full price for boarding which I refused to pay. Today, Nick (the manager) calls to say we need to "compromise" because it wasn't all their fault that Bella had jumped the fence. He said the kennel they were in was similar in size to the area they were let into. The kennel is chain link and the outdoor area is a wooden fence. Had they informed me of the enclosures opening, maybe I also could have told them that they don't typically jump chain link cause they can see through it, but they will ALWAYS jump wooden fences. Nick told me that his facility is spending thousands of dollars to raise the fences and that they are changing the front desk procedures due to Bella's incident. I still had to partially pay $200 towards a $504 vet bill because Nick refused to take accountability for his company and do the right thing. So I paid $826 for boarding and vet bills which should have been $624 just for boarding. I do appreciate the "discount", but am appalled that I would be responsible for any of the vet bill. Nick said had his team truly been negligent they would pay the vet bill, but to me, 1)not informing me they'd be let out off leash and 2) not calling to ask if they could be let out off leash we're both negligent actions. This whole thing could've been avoided had they had better communication with their clients and not just let Bella and Blue loose without verifying it was okay. I also posted what her leg looked like yesterday in the comments. I hope someone looking for a place to board their babies sees this and can choose somewhere that takes accountability for their actions and provides a safe environment for their animals. I am truly so disappointed with Nick, and the way he handled this situation. However, the employees that work there have all been super kind and compassionate towards me. read more

Our sweet little girl always comes back looking so good. I've never been to a groomer that keeps records of past cuts so that the groomer can remember what we do and don't like. Here they do that so Arlee never comes back with a funky haircut. Very friendly and nice people. The price is somewhat on the higher side (I paid $70+ for a groom for one dog and just a bath and nail clip for our another puppy) but I really can't complain too much because the quality is always good. They also sell the neatest candles that help eliminate pet odor. I've bought two and love them! They also sell products for your pets (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and have a boarding area for your pets. read more

We have been taking our pup Daisy To BPA for nearly 5 years. She is a big baby who has some high maintenance tendencies with eating and the size of dogs she feels comfortable around. On day 1 prior to even allowing her to stay, they performed an assessment to determine if she was a good fit for their facilities and I think this process is paramount to their successes; if an animal doesnt feel comfortable and vice versa it wont be a good match. She was shy so they eased her into the playpen with the others and I feel she was treated as a personality rather than a paycheck. She even has issues eating regularly on long overnight boarding sessions and the staff suggested some things I could do to help encourage her to eat in my absence as well they they would sit with her as well to encourage eating if necessary. All of which is far above and beyond and I am so please to have them for a second home to our fur baby. Also they always send her home from boarding with a bath, which is a huge a relief after a long work trip to have one less thing to worry about. BPA staff are amazing, and have allowed me to change plans and pick up times more often than I care to admit and are always respectful, friendly, and accommodating. Albeit it is more pricey than I like to spend, between the service received, fact that she gets to play with other dogs and isnt stuck in a kennel, gets bathed, and they have a military discount; we wouldnt taked her anywhere else. read more

This is a tough one to write because I really wanted to give a 5-star review for BPA but unfortunately I can't. I gave 3-stars because, yes, the place is quite clean looking AND smelling considering what it is & does. Their check in process is efficient and professional. I boarded my dog here for 6 days while on vacation and I'm sure he was taken care of but it's the grooming work he had done during his stay that has me extremely upset & disappointed. When I picked him up I didn't even recognize him and the way he was groomed is SO FAR from the photo I showed one of the groomers when I dropped him off that I'm in utter shock that they could get it so wrong. (See included before & after photos of Fisher) I did let them know before I left that I was very upset with the grooming but what else can you do? The fur is gone. All I can do now is look at this butchered little shorkie that used to have an adorable teddy bear face, and just wait for it to grow back. My advice to anyone else who is going to have their dog groomed here is to be sure that the groomer you give instructions to is also the one who grooms your dog; and also maybe to NOT have Alyssa do it. read more

Pet smart charges for more than one "play time", "administering medication", and pretty much anything they can think of on top of your standard boarding fee. Pet Adventures is a better price, quality and also doesn't charge extra for playtime and medication administration. Their play time is most of the day with minimal time spent in their pin (can be tailored if your dog doesn't get along well with others). I love that you can webcam/check in on your furry children if you want. I haven't had any experience with any other services yet, but friends have, and raved about day care and grooming. The self service wash looks friendly enough, so I'll probably try that out here soon (apartments aren't great for bath time). Love the people, this is a job they love, and it shows! read more

This place is AWESOME! We had a few poor experiences at other Dog Boarding/Day Care places in town (Downtown *). At Bellevue Pet Adventures, they first verify with your vet the dog is up to date on shots & then test the dogs' temperament to make sure it isn't an a-hole. It is extremely affordable & the staff is excellent with dogs. Our dog forgets we exist every time we pull in the parking lot, & is exhausted every time we pick him up. We are always skeptical leaving our dog anywhere, but have absolute confidence in the care given by the staff here. If your dog stays 3+ days they also give him/her a bath before pick-up. The dog grooming stations are super easy to use & my dog LOOOOOVES getting his baths there. Recommend this place to anyone who wants the best care for their furry children at an extremely affordable price. read more

We were going to self-wash our dog and I said no we don't. Well, you need an appt, she said. She asked if we had our vaccination records and we said no. Well, you need that. I bring my maltese (Harvey) here for everything---day care, boarding, and grooming. I like how the place is clean and does not smell like dog at all. The staff and the owner are all friendly. Harvey especially loves one of the groomers, Tammi, who takes time to play with him when he's there for daycare. I've always had a great experience at this establishment. They have a webcam available on their website. They have great prices for all their services, and I especially like how they don't charge extra for playtime when you board your pet. We've taken our pets here since the they have opened. The staff have always been friendly, attentive and quick. That being said, I see reviews mentioning staff attitudes and in my experience they are usually very busy. They have been nice, but very quick to get my pet processed. They may not spend much time chatting me up, but I appreciate how busy they are and despite it, still know my dog's names right when we walk through the door. I have never seen a group who cares more for the animals the tend to. Many times I have seen or heard them working to improve the space, practices and staff knowledge on pet care. No one is perfect and in the world of animal care, it be very unpredictable, but these guys get it right. I trust my furry loved ones with them every time. read more

Went here to have my dogs groomed and have a play day. I found them online and was really impressed. I took my dogs with me to have a tour and to get a price on grooming as they could not tell me over the phone for Miniature Schnauzers. I was told I needed to provide my vet's phone number and name and they would call themselves to verify if the dogs were up to date on their shots. On the day of the appointment, I was told I needed to have written proof of shots with me. We worked through that. After filling out lots of paperwork, leaving my cell number and asking to meet the groomer because one of my dogs is very old and I was worried about how he would be treated as he cannot stand for the whole process, we were merrily on our way. Well apparently it did not go well for my dogs and one was deemed unfit to play with the other dogs. That's fine, they have to protect their clients and goodness knows I did not want to be the cause of problems. They did not contact me to ask, they just kept both dogs isolated and my older dog did not get into the play area to have any exercise. They did not contact me when they decided the quoted price of $48. per dog for the grooming would be changed to $59. per dog. And I had no say when they decided to tack on a $30. gratuity generously included in the bill. Wonderful! I asked about the discrepancy in the quoted price and the billed price and way told "Yeah, well they up charged you". They were very nice and very firm about reaching in my purse and helping themselves to more of my money. To add insult to injury, I later noticed both dogs had longer hair on their left sides. The left side of the face, beard and chest was longer. So the grooming wasn't even professional quality. I gave them two stars because the place was very clean. read more

We LOVE Bellevue Pet Adventures! Our family been taking our dogs for grooming and boarding for several years and recently used their board and train program for our golden doodle puppy. It was a great experience! We were kept up-to-date on her progress and were able to visit and work with her weekly. This was HUGE, as it was so hard to be away from her for a month, and is a unique benefit to many other board and train programs in the area. Miriam is a very knowledgeable trainer and taught our girl well. We are very happy with the results and are so glad to have a place we can trust with our dogs. To be honest I don't think I've gotten a single "thank you" or "have a nice day" the six months I've been taking my dog here. I was so excited to find a great place that took care of my dog that I overlooked all the attitude from most of the girls that work here. Now that I've been constantly taking my dog a couple of times a week, it really bugs me that they treat a regular customer this way. Never better to have your dog recognize where you're going and practically bounce with glee, recognizing workers and other dogs. It's always a pleasure to take our dog to puppy day care knowing she is going to be well looked after and come home tired and happy to see us again. Their staff seems small but they're very friendly, are able to handle dogs of any size properly and are always professional. We usually board our dog for a day or so and Bellevue Pet Adventures have never tried to nickel-and-dime us with hidden fees or excessive charges. It's actually the opposite, their prices have and are always been reasonable, especially for the care they showed our dog. Other family members have brought their animals and have also been more than satisfied with how they've gotten their dog back after boarding. You hear horror stories about people getting their dogs back chewed up, sick or reclusive but at Bellevue Pet Adventures there isn't a better place you could leave your animal to receive exercise, human and canine companionship while you're gone. read more

Took our two dogs for assessment to stay here. Was charged $20 per dog for the evaluation, that basically did not happen. All they said was that our younger dog was to scared to evaluate with other dogs, and they didn't even try with our other older dog yet still charged us for both. I would have assumed that anyone claiming to do an 'assessment' would do something a little more scientific and methodic. But given the attitude, considering it a lessoned learned. read more

I brought my Pomeranian here for the first time (I had moved to Nebraska for a short time and was trying to find the perfect groomer). I ALWAYS give CLEAR AND PRECISE instructions on her grooming which are not very picky. The only thing I ask is that the groomer does not cut my dogs tail. I repeated this multiple times and emphasised it much. I am open to any new cuts and am not picky about anything else... Well it's safe to say that my groomer obviously did not listen to a word I said because I picked my dog up and her tail was SO SO SO SHORT. It was AWFUL - it looked terrible. That was my only instruction to her was to not cut the tail and she couldn't even do that right. I was so upset. I cried and talked to the manager, she offered me a discount on my NEXT service; however, I have been to scared to return ever since. If a groomer cannot follow simple instruction it worries me what type of hands my dog is actually in. read more
