Rented a Penske truck to move from Seattle, Wa to chandler, Arizona. I hired Sml for labor only services. They loaded all my furniture in Seattle into my rental truck. They arrived within the 1 hr window specified ready to work. About 1 hr after there expected start time a SML rep even called to make sure the two individuals were onsite and working. They also reminded me if I had any questions to call or ask my movers directly. It's a huge plus knowing the company keeps tabs on what's going on. Moving can be stressful and that is really helpful. Another huge plus is no cash exchanges hands. I hate giving cash to movers because it feels like their is no record and it's not very official. They have their own Dolly's and equipment to move things FAST! It was unreal on how they packed my rental truck- in a good way. tightly packed to avoid any jostle and for my breakable super heavy marble bar top table-they packed it up with ease making it look like as light as a paper bag. My apartment was a 1 bedroom about 700-800 square feet. They are on track to complete the packing in about 2-3 hours. For the novice mover I would recommend plastic packing wrap materials, a few moving straps to hold things in place in the truck and a few moving blankets. All of which SML will tell you to have as recommendations. I of course did not have them in hand but my SMl movers made due with some blankets and rope. They were both very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. 2 pro-movers were hired and would definitely recommend SML. read more

Extremely satisfied with my moving experience with Bellevue movers. Will was the move manager and he showed up exactly on time and coordinated his crew packing up our 3 bedroom house in just over an hour. It was done so much faster than we anticipated that we actually we didn't reserve the move in destination unload area early enough and we just had to hang out for half an hour. DESPITE having to pause for half an hour, Will and his team were able to unload everything just within the MINIMUM time we were quoted. Very impressive. These guys were the best movers I've ever hired. I know how long it takes to move a one bedroom, and have been taken advantage of in the past. I was a little worried as I had an afternoon appointment and thought they may be tired from a previous job in the morning, but they worked quickly and efficiently. They don't waste time wrapping stuff in plastic wrap like the other guys do, but they were careful,used padded blankets in the truck and all my stuff got moved without any damage it or to the condo. They also moved more stuff than the previous moving company I had used in the past and in half the time, too. I had the three guys and a truck deal for $125/hr. They only take cash, so make sure you have enough on hand. read more

Make sure all costs and fee are agreed upon in writing before you start the job. I had confirmed that we would get a 5% discount, as stated on their website, if we paid in cash. When the job completed we told them we had cash to pay to get the 5%, not that it's a big discount, but the total they gave didn't include the 5%, it was the same price as indicated on their website. When I asked about the 5% the told me that they actually don't except anything but cash and the price on the website included the 5% discount already. I spoke with the owner on the phone and he argued with me that he didn't tell me there would be 5% discount if paid in cash, which wasn't true. So beware of the costs, up front and get it in writing. That said, the movers did a good job. They were quick and careful. (Hence the 3 stars) read more

Due to a collision of circumstances, they were down one guy on the day of my move, which had me pretty stressed as far as meeting the estimated time and price...and I was already a stress monkey about the move. But, they busted it out and still came in on target. Never got a return call to tell me an estimated time to plan for the cost even though I called and emailed. They only take cash so difficult to plan for exact amount for cash (wasn't told only cash until day of). Had a big move, 4 bedrooms with lots of heavy stuff. Needed to move from my tiny apartment from seattle downtown to Renton Highlands. Did some searching on Yelp and found Simple Mover Company with 4.5 stars rating. Emailed them for a quote and got quick phone call response from Myra. She helped me out with quote, approximately how many men I will needed. The crew came promptly at schedule time and called ahead to give confirmation. They were great to work with and took care of my belongings. Due to the nearby construction, the truck was blocked and stuck in the alley way for almost 2 hours. John, the owner was very responsive and called me regarding the delay. He assured that I will not be charged for the wait time due to blocking from the new construction. John even came with the crew to help make up for the time that was delayed. They also put carpet on the ground when they move stuff in and out of the house. Overall, my experience has been 5 stars with simple mover and highly recommend this to other yelpers. read more

I called the company, explained that I needed only a large china cabinet moved a distance of about 2 miles. They gave me a bid that we were both comfortable with and arrived the same day. Once in my house, I realized that my piano was where the china cabinet was to be. Without any complaint, they moved the piano about 12 feet without scratching my wood floors. I was initially very nervous about my move, as I had to do all the packing myself...and did an embarrasing job of it. I was afraid that the movers would be angry about it. But when move time came, it could not have gone better. John called the night before to see if the packing was going well and if I needed any extra time. I hired Simple Movers for a move from a 2 bedroom apartment. The scheduling was easy and the pricing nicely explained. The three movers and truck showed up a bit later than the scheduled time frame, but John mentioned there was a possibility of that happening and he called to let me know as he said he would. Loading up the truck went pretty quick and was smooth. Unloading the truck went a lot slower than I expected - especially since we had a reserved elevator that was larger than the one at the old building. The third mover seemed to disappear partway through the move-in to the new place. When I asked at the end where he went I was told he was folding blankets in the truck. I never saw him again that day and each load up to my new apartment seemed smaller and smaller. The movers, probably tired as this was their second move of the day, also got slower and slower as time went on. They did an okay job, but I wouldn't use this company again. Several of my items were damaged. The underside fabric on my couch was torn. Boxes labeled as fragile were visibly crushed and stacked under boxes labeled 'heavy'. I paid in cash and no change was offered. I had been planning on leaving a tip, but decided against it after the slowness and disappearance of the third mover. I ended up letting them keep the change but after finding damaged items while unpacking, I wish I hadn't. read more

We lived in a 2 story 4 bedroom home and I didn't want to wrestle with the heavy objects without help. I've never hired a moving service before and was hesitant as I've heard horror stories from other people. The crew arrived and they were prompt, thorough, articulate, and polite. They worked absolutely as hard as they could the entire time they were there. They were literally running up the stares to get more boxes and help get things out as quickly as possible. I was thoroughly impressed with their work ethic and attention to detail. The items arrived to the new house in great shape and they exhibited the same work ethic unloading.
