This is definitely an older Y comparing to other the Y on the eastside but the staffs here are friendly. The swimming pool is smaller than Newcastle's and lacks the family recreational pool. It is overall clean and convenient. The parking lot can get pretty crowded on weekends and evenings.

Lots of group classes like line dancing! Staff is friendly. Not too busy in the aerobics or circuit rooms.

The price is too high for just using the Gym or pool. Maybe for some people it's a good fit but not for us. Otherwise clean and nice.

I really like this location, but I have two major concerns that will determine whether I continue…read moremy membership here. First, the temperature and ventilation. It is incredibly hot inside. For a gym environment, proper air circulation is essential, yet the air feels stagnant and there is a persistent, strong odor. It is very difficult to work out in these conditions. I'm literally drenched in sweat the moment I walk in, and the lack of fresh air makes me feel lightheaded and dizzy during my sets. Is there a working AC system? Are there plans to improve cooling for the summer? I need to know this before I decide whether to renew my membership or not. The last three months have been unbearable, and I believe this might even be a safety/health code issue. Second, the equipment. Many of the machines in the main area, specifically the hip abduction/adduction (inner/outer thigh) and leg curl machines, are broken. While the renovated zone is great, these essential machines have been out of order for a while. Are there plans to repair or replace them soon? I would appreciate a clear response so I can understand if I should continue coming here this summer or if I need to look for another gym where the conditions are safer and the equipment is functional.

Pro Club is hands down one of the best gyms, if not the best…read more It's perfect for you if you're looking for a place to truly transform your lifestyle. It isn't like typical gyms, it feels more like a gym-resort-wellness center. It has high ceiling and ventilation is great. It can get smelly if it's super busy but that's why I go in the morning. I also like how everyone just focuses on themselves and no one is judging or being "weird." It's like everyone working out on their own pace and no judgement. I also had no experiences of going to the gym. It feels daunting initially because there's so many machines and it's overwhelming, which is why I particularly wanted to get a personal trainer and I love mine. Ainura is wonderful, she remembers the body goals im after and she helps me with a workout plan that will help me. You can see photos of my 3 month progress as proof. I've also had to visit out of state gyms due to work and I can safely say... pro club still the best. Love the staffs, environment, aura, and my trainer. LASTLY, I know it's on the higher end compared to other gyms but the amenities make it up. For example, free classes of Pilates, yoga, Zumba, etc. Going to miss Pro club for the next 2 weeks since I'm traveling :(

The Ultimate Premium Paradise (If You Hold a Paddle)…read more Let me start by saying: don't let this visual rating confuse you. It's perfect. It's magnificent. It's bespoke luxury. But only for us. The minute I picked up a paddle, I realized I was royalty and that Bay Club understands true elite status. My every minor whim is their command. I casually mention the "squeaky old basketball courts" are a bit archaic and inefficient for our gentlemanly strategy? Poof!--they literally roll a glorious slab of semi-permanent, cushioned vinyl right over that outdated, varnished hardwood. It's absolutely chef's kiss. They paved over the past, and I got more nets! The acoustic-deadening luxury is unparalleled. Who needs to see wood grain when you can have industrial-grade linoleum that silences the ghosts of whatever irrelevant sport used to be played here? This is what peak performance looks like: endless courts, endless tournaments, endless "Zero-Zero-Two!" shouts echoing through the hall. We don't need to sweat like animals; we dominate from a neat 10-foot box with true finesse. And to those disgruntled, archaic hoop-heads lingering in the corners? Please, evaporate. Your sport is a relic, a shambling corpse, and the NBA is literally a joke propped up by shoe commercials and social media drama. The refs couldn't spot a travel if a player packed a suitcase, booked a direct flight out of Sea-Tac, and walked through TSA with the ball tucked under their arm. Did they take three steps? Four? A gather-step? Just carry the ball like a running back, nobody cares anymore! There are no rules, just chaos and unnecessary, vulgar sweating. Seriously, the puddles of "hard work" they leave are a public health hazard. Disgusting. The old days are gone, Grandpa. I hear other people complaining about cleaning staffs being cut? Or the weight room looking like a monochrome hospital ward? As if that matters. I'm too focused on my next dink to notice dust, and who lifts weights when you can master gentlemanly strategy? Thank you, Bay Club, for finally prioritizing true culture and paving the way to the future. Keep the vinyl coming! See you all in the kitchen! Since their website address leads to a broken link I reached out on facebook messenger. I used one of Facebooks canned responses to ask 'Do you have any promotions?' and the response was 'Never. I find that kind of model disgusting'. Didn't know asking if they have a promos was such a negative question and I asked them to elaborate, but have not gotten a response. Wow, my abs have not been this sore in a while! I had heard about Knotty Yoga through the aerial…read moregrapevine and decided to give it a chance when one of Meetup groups planned a meetup here. I took the intro class that was specially priced at $19. For an hour and a half, it was an incredible deal that I could not pass up...and it was more than worth it! There were about 18+ people in the class and we started with a warm up on the silks. Afterwards, we watched Mason and 2 other instructors demo on the rope, silks, and lyra respectively. We then learned a few things on the silks and did a quick stretch of the upper body. The verdict? The warmup is NOT a beginner warmup. There's lots of balancing of the upper body on the arms or forearms while the legs are held up by the silk apparatus. As the body is balancing, it is moving forwards, backwards, and twisting side to side. For me, the warmup was great and challenging, but I could see it being difficult for a beginner. Vivian was the instructor on the silks. I found her explanations and demonstrations thorough as I had previously learned one of the tricks at another studio but had not understood it fully until Vivian explained it another way. We were learning how to climb the silks and even though there was heavy emphasis on the use of the legs, I didn't hear any guidance about relieving any tightness in the forearms or the hands during the instruction. And in the cool down/stretching, there was no focus on these parts of the body at all. For the cool down, we paired up and all we did was twist the upper body while pulling on each others arms. Time was up but I wished that there would have been more time for more thorough stretching. Now I realize that there were a lot of people in the class and it was an intro class so I am probably calling out personal particulars, but I was really impressed with the overall vibe of the studio. I like their whole hybrid exercise modality idea. The instruction was awesome. The studio is a great space and I am especially looking forward to taking future classes in trapeze and lyra. Lastly, I find the pricing options a great value.
