O STAR I have rented an apartment at the Oaks , in Ocklawaha Fl for over 3 yrs. l & neighbors have enjoyed good service from Belleview Bottled Gas for yrs they were the original installers many yrs ago for gas for our stoves. A week or 2 ago I needed to refill my gas tank. All went well, they refilled my gas tank as usual, until about an hour later this vigilante appeared ! He descended on me like a swat team . he announced with authority that the tank was against code. I said , "you all installed them yrs ago " he said that codes have changed , he had to move tank,& began removing tank. he lied telling me he'd just move it "over there". the next thing I knew he began to move it off to his truck. I asked him to wait, I haven't been able to cook for a week, give some time for notice please. He seemed to enjoy this attack on my peace & tranquility , without notice ! I asked him to give me some time, I couldn't afford eating out anymore, that I needed to have some time to adjust. He responded with a sort of grin , he was having a good day !!! My 72nd birthday is just around the corner & I felt like Attila the Hun had just burned my village !!!!! at my age , not having any family nearby & not having any money till my next social security check I was left feeling desperate & isolated. I learned later that this employee could have been the brother in law of the owner. Meanwhile my landlord has been looking at options & pricing. The change over is expensive & will take time. I now have electric, but 2 of my neighbors have to wait for a new line to be dropped . Meanwhile I caught this guy sneaking on the property & he stole away with another tank ! They are welcome to all the tanks as soon as we switch service . Belleview should have been more courteous & given notice & time. That would have been the professional response , but instead there response was hostile as if we were the enemy ! read more

I was a customer for years. I will tell all who will listen about my experiences with this company. I was supposed to be on automatic fill and twice I ran out of propane because they didn't fill me on time. A year later I was away from my house for more than eight months. When I returned I went in to order propane for the house. The owner told me that I hadn't paid my last bill on time so they wouldn't come out to fill it unless I paid upfront. I was upset that he was telling me I didn't pay my bills so I asked him. "What bill are you talking about" He said "It was a month or two ago." Which was a lie, because I never got any propane over the course of that 8 months. I was away and the tank was never filled. He ended with saying, "Well, we will come out this time." Rather than admit his mistake and do the right thing and say sorry I was mistaken, he had an attitude. This wasn't the last time I had a run in with attitude. I was so fed up with them not coming to fill on a regular basis I started shopping around for other propane suppliers. I love to support small businesses but this company is an exception. I went in to order some propane because my tank was down at 5% AGAIN, with no fill up. So I decided to switch companies. I told the lady working the desk I only wanted $200 dollars worth of propane and to not fill it up because I was going to be switching companies. The driver was standing there. Both of them assured me it would not be filled up. The driver told me he would be out later that day. When I got home from work... the tank was filled with a bill on my door. I called immediately and talked to the lady at the desk. She told me she would talk to the owner and get it all sorted out. I never received any call back so I called the next day. The owner picked up the phone. I told him who I was and explained the situation. I understand mistakes happen. I told them I was willing to pay the bill in full but the reason I was only getting $200 was because I was just holding over until I switched companies. The owner put me on hold. I waited for 10 minutes on hold. Then hung up and called back. He put me on hold again. This happened 3 times and now I could see he was playing games. So needless to say I was right on the phone to the other company to switch over as soon as possible. The new company told me they could hook up the tank that following friday. I called back Belleview and told them I was getting a new tank friday. I happened to get out of work early the next day and at about 4pm a Belleview Bottled Gas truck pulls into my yard. I asked the tech what he was doing. He said he was told by his boss to come out and take the tank. I wouldn't let him. I was so mad! Out of spite this owner wanted to come and take the tank and leave me and my family without propane for two days! The tech called the owner. I asked the tech to hand me the phone because I had been trying to talk to him for the last couple days and he kept putting me on hold. The owner would not talk to me on the techs phone. The tech left without the tank. That night I photographed the gauge with time stamps because there was propane in the tank. I felt like this guy was going to mess with me more. So sure enough, when they took the tank I called about getting a refund for the propane left in the tank. They said it was EMPTY!!! Another lie! I sent them the time stamped photos of the gauge and told them that I had anticipated that they would say that and I wanted the money taken off of the bill for the tank that was filled "even though I didn't want it filled." I finally spoke to the owner after all of this happened and told him how I would still have been a customer if he hadn't treated me the way he did. And that I want a credit for my left over propane. He did the math on the phone and said. "Well it only works out to around 35 dollars." I wonder how many other customers they have done this to in the past. All and all I am so happy I switched companies. I now feel like my business is appreciated. You have a choice, do your homework and look elsewhere. read more
