After having brake pads done on our Ford Transit at Belle Tire some time ago, we later had a wheel come completely off while driving. Another shop found that the lug studs were shattered and told us they are torque-to-yield, one-time-use bolts that should be replaced when removed during brake service. When we brought this to the attention of employees at Belle Tire, it was shrugged off, which was disappointing given the severity of the situation. While we can't prove fault, this raises serious concerns about whether proper procedures were followed. This was an extremely dangerous situation, and I would strongly encourage others to verify what is being replaced not just reused during repairs. read more

Took my volvo here about 6 weeks ago for an axillary battery change. They told me it was no problem that they could change the battery in the Volvo. After the install, my warning lights were still on in the dashboard. I pulled the car back around and they attempted again to turn the warning lights off. At that time, they told me that "they don't really work on Volvo's" so they "weren't sure how to turn them off." I left the store with the lights still on as they told me it would eventually turn off. A week later I turned my car on and started driving. A new warning label came on with a turtle sign and my car shut off mid-drive. Terrifying. By this time the warning from the battery had eventually turned off. Six weeks later (last week), I turned my car on and a warning of "12 V Battery Critical Charging fault stop safely" appeared on the dash. I had to take it to Volvo as I was not going to Belle Tire again. Turns out all these alerts and problems with my car was because Belle Tire never reset my battery after installing it. I paid close to $600 to install the battery with Belle Tire and then had to pay Volvo another $250 because Belle Tire did not reset the battery and did not inform me they didn't know how to work on Volvo's. I would have gone to Volvo in the first place. I lost three days with my car and an extra fee for their incompetence. Their website claims they know Volvo's, and they do not. read more

Save your money, your driveway, your engine, and another trip back to belle tire. Once again one of only 2 things that need to be tightened for an oil change was not tightened. Last time it was the filter this time it was the drain bolt. Don't bother replying saying I'm not in your system it was my girlfriend's car. Belle tire has once again messed up the simplest and most frequent maintenance on my girlfriend's car. This is exactly why I change my own oil. Do not trust this place, do not trust the manager nick, save your time and money and try anywhere but belle tire especially macomb Michigan. I noticed a bubble on the front passenger side tire. Friday morning. I made a Saturday appointment at the Eastpointe location. They did not have my size there. Called around to the Macomb location store. The size was in stock there. Drove to that location. As I approached the front desk. I mentioned that I came in from another location. The tire sizes were there in different price ranges. I decided to go with the price in the middle range. Got the four set of tires. In and out of there within a hour. Very impressed. read more

They tried to charge me 1200 dollars for a inner and outer tie rod job. If you know anything about cars, that is absolutely absurd. My mechanic was able to do it for 4 times less the price parts and labor. Belle tire is getting away with a legalized crime. read more

I am a lady that just wants to know and everything went great untill.... Bell tire snuck in an alignment warranty to the bill. Not once did the man say anything about a warranty. Why not just ask the customers. Not just add it on to the bill. Unfortunately I didn't find out till I got home. This got me thinking. does all car maintenance place do this? Why do you do this? is it to meet quota? does it come with every alignment? are the workers made to do this? should every customer ask to take it off the bill? should every customer ask why workers add it to the bill? Is this normal? is it just me? Should I just ask what I'm billed for every time I come into a shop? I really just want to know for next time. This review is specifically for the free air on the side. First off, I love that you can get free air here. I used to always pay at gas stations where the hose was broken, and it was difficult to fill my tires. To be honest with you, U know nothing abour cars. I have filled my tires in the past, and I was in a rush to get to work. It was cold outside and I was struggling to remove the air caps. A gentleman named Andrew saw me struggling and walked over. He decided to help pull them off and told me to walk around and fill as he did it. He told me when to go to the next tire as well. He put them back on after me. This made the process go by so much faster and made it easier. He was explaining that the temperature change would surely bring a lot more people in for some air. An old man was waiting for me to finish. He looked like he was about 60-70 years old. Andrew told him to pull up closer once I move, and stated he would fill the tires for him. This is the best customer service I have experience from a Belle Tire. Andrew was super awesome and generous. He actually cared and took the time to help someone struggling. Thanks Andrew! read more

Let's start of saying Bob Gray guy is a horrible liar. After waiting 2-3 hours he tells me the machine is down and they can't put my tires on because if they do it the old school way it will scratch my wheels. Then when I told him put my wheels back on I need my car he told me to NEVER F**** come back here. They left close the shop basically my car was held hostage. The next morning I was told a completely different story the tires were mounted but couldn't get air into them. After they were done he said car was done. I go out to take a look and 2 of my wheels are damaged, when I got one I seen smaller damage to the 3rd wheel. Also my driver seat has scratches on it. And my alignment is worse after they "fix" it. I was told they didn't know it would be this hard to do it. Basically treated my Corvette like trash. If you have a nice car definitely stay away. read more

All the staff is very friendly and courteous. This location has a great waiting area. Unfortunately I've experienced quite a few flat tires in the last couple years. Every time I come here they are able to get the tires I need (they are specific because I have leased vehicles). The tires always arrive within a few business days (sometimes 1!) and they do a great job. Checkout is fast & easy and it's so close to my house. Couldn't ask more from a tire shop :) read more

Replaced all four pads, rotors, calipers. Front brakes failed after 10,000 miles, replaced under warranty. 11500 mile later front and rear brakes failed. Only pads covered under warranty. Should front brakes last more than 10,000 miles Should rear brakes and calipers last more than 21500? I will be returning to the Ford dealer for quality replacement parts in the future read more

This place has turned for the worst. I bought 5 tires for my sports car there. Andrew charged me $27 each to mount on spoked rims and balance them. When I looked at the rims once I got them home I saw that they were not balanced. When I called Andrew he said they tried balancing one, but it was too hard and they were afraid they may scratch the rims. I said I paid for balancing and he said to bring them back and they would try again. After you got caught cheating me, you want me to come back. Over my lifetime I have spent many thousands of dollars with Belle tire and even had a fleet account with them before I retired. NO MORE! read more

If I could go a zero star, I would do not go here. The people are so uneducated and do not know how to do their job I was told and I quote that inner tie rod on my passenger side and my outer tie rod on my driver side we're bad we're gonna charge me $400 to fix and was told I could do it myself and get an alignment for free or have them do it happen to be a lie and the person who did my Check was an utter idiot. It happened to be both entered at tie rods and both outer tie rods that were bad if I would've had them do it I would've been killed. The broke my hood latch, when I went in for a tire change, and they pulled the spare tire off the car and changed that tire, doesn't look anything like the wheel I told them to swap tire off of. they also broke the button off my parking brake lever, and when they put my car on the lift,the lift was resting on the side skirts of my car. So really really do not recommend this place. Damaged my car with problems that didn't exist EVER before I came in. read more

Very disappointed. I had my rear brakes replaced and bought the BEST brake pads. After 4000 miles the brakes squeal VERY loudly when backing up. I was told this was normal and there was nothing they could do. I even had a video of the sound. They ignored me and said bring it back if it gets worse. If they can't fix it now what are they going to do if it gets worse! Terrible customer service. When I backed my car up to leave the brakes squealed but this is normal!! read more

I recently came in to fix a bubble in my tire from a tire I received from Belle Tire in St. Clair Shores. Instead of going to the dealership and paying the $190 they told me it would be to fix the tire, I opted to go back to Belle Tire because I received great service last time. Because I work 9-5 everyday it's fairly difficult for me to do tedious tasks like this after a long commute. My boyfriend kindly dropped off my vehicle on Monday morning. He was told there was 1 car ahead of him when he dropped off. He also told the salesman to call him with any problems and updates in regards to my vehicle. A few hours go by and he still hasn't heard anything back so he calls the store. Turns out they forgot to call him. The tire I needed was out of stock and they promised to order it for me for the next day and that they'd call in the morning when it's ready. Getting anywhere without a car isn't easy, but I understand things like this happen. I tried not to stress about how I'd get to work and simply hoped for the best. The salesman also promised the tire was covered in full with a warranty. My boyfriend called back after noon the next day. The salesman told him the car was ready for pickup. Woo! Thank goodness! Except, of course, it wasn't ready. Belle Tire called me back to inform me that they lied and my car wasn't ready, with no time frame when my car would be ready. I normally wouldn't be upset but I received the call from a landline and no voice mail. I didn't know who called me. The number wasn't the same as the one listed on their website. How unprofessional for a business. I was also informed the new tire would also have to be paid for in full because it wasn't covered under warranty. A few hours later my boyfriend arrives to my work with my car (because I needed a ride home.) We were informed we could pick the car up and come back another time. Because my tire wasn't flat (there was a bubble in it -- the new tire they put on 6 months ago) we were each told they'd put the old tire back on. Except they didn't. They put on my spare. Without telling either of us. They put on a spare when it's snowing and roads are bad. What if something happened to us while driving on the donut? Sure, you can drive on spare tires but without being told about it? Dangerous! This has since caused me much more anxiety and stress. Because I wasn't expecting them to get my spare from my trunk, I didn't have my trunk cleared out. No only did they put my spare on, they threw in my old tire (and rim) into my trunk, damaging items I had in there. Clearly with no regard to myself or my belongings. How unprofessional. Because of this, I will not be returning to Belle Tire for future tire needs. read more

Forgot to update. So looks like a manager or owner commented to reach out to their corporate line for assistance. I did such that. The customer service rep on the phone was pleasant and explained why the store had to refuse refunding on the phone, but it was a poor excuse with clear holes in the explanation. He tried telling me that they don't refund over the phone because of fraud....but if you are refunding to the same card one file that already paid you, back to said card and not a different card, and you confirm the card details on the phone, then house can you get scammed. Anyways, the Customer agent told me he would personally reach out to the store and have them give me a call to go over and issue that refund. That they would call within the hour. Well I am sure you can tell by my 1 star that they never did. The store was RUDE RUDE RUDE the first time around, and then they refused and never gave me a call. I had to go about forcing a refund through other means for lack of service/product. Cannot believe people still go to places like this. What an old fashioned outdated business model. Would give 0 stars if possible for the double refusal whammy. I will always be steering away friends and family from this business. read more

This Review Is For The Belle Tire Located On Hall Road In Macomb, Michigan: I must say that Michael Long the Manager at this Belle Tire on Hall Road was a pretty straight up guy and redeemed my faith in Belle Tire after a bad experience with the Belle Tire in Shelby Twp. on Van Dyke Avenue. He was honest, up front, did not try upselling or scaring me into having unneeded work done to my car like the Manager at the other Belle Tire did. The pricing was fair and I even added having them throw on some wiper blades when I picked my car up because of his up front honest demeanor and the great work that belle Tire is known for being done on my car. Integrity is why I started coming to Belle Tire years ago, recommend them to my daughters and their friends too! read more

These stores are always professional and always busy. They sell good tires, not really for a good price though. Rest assured if there is something THEY think is wrong with your suspension they will try and charge a small fortune to fix it. I stick to tires and alignments here. They are trained to try and sell you extra services so be aware. Its rare I go to these without them finding something they want to charge me to fix. read more
