For the tint on my last vehicle I used a local auto glass company that seemed to do a fine job…read more That was until 5 years later when the back window tint started to bubble and peel off. When I showed it to them they said "yeah the glue was bad back then ". Then they offered to put on new tint for $140!!! Why should I pay to repair their sub standard work!?!?!? Fast forward to this year and I asked my new car salesman for a recommendation on a company to do my window tint. He recommended Darkside Window Tinting so that is why I chose them. When I arrived at my appointment time Jason explained, described and showed me samples of three different levels and quality of tint. I didn't have any choices the last time I got tint!! So being that I am buying and not leasing my car and hope to keep it for a long time, I went with the top of the line tint. It also works to block some of the dangerous sun and keeps the car cooler. I sat there for about an hour and a half (just like Jason told me on the phone) and the car looks awesome! Jason put tape on the window buttons so that I would remember not to roll down the windows for a couple of days and now it looks perfectly normal. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Two days later it developed major engine problems, the quick paint job they put on it showed incredible incompetence. Over spray on the black plastic body parts , they painted right over the rust without any attempt to prep the locations. When I questioned the engine failure, the owner Brandon became extremely upset and told me its his job to DISPOSE of vehicles and now its my problem. I believe this represents all the work he pushes through this location I wouldn't let them work on a bicycle let alone a vehicle that we depended on. Brandon actually came to my place of business very hostile and yelling at me because I was investigating the engine failure which I'm positive he was aware of. I received a few quotes with varying prices and couldn't decide, therefore I also did a Google search of reviews of the various places to help me make my decision of where to take my vehicle. GP, which is 45 mins away from my home, and an hour in traffic from my work, quoted me a flat rate with parts and labor included, which was $20 more than a shop in my neighborhood. The removal and install was fast, and the gentleman was very professional. My bill was actually $20 more than the flat rate quoted. Therefore, I ended up paying $40 more than I would have paid had I gone to a local shop, 1hour 45 mins driving, and a 1/4 tank of gas. Pricey lesson learned. However, I'm grateful that my windshield is fixed before winter. I recommend this location for folks who live in the area. It's clean with a comfortable waiting room. Also, if you're low in cash, make sure you know that "flat rate" doesn't mean the same to everyone. Use the Project tool to receive quotes, etc, but do extra homework and know exactly how much a service will cost you in exact pricing, considering your travel (gas) expenses, and time when comparing.
