Her most quoted line is "this is what I've done in the past, so it should work for you". When we challenged her to personalize our wedding to our tastes, she quoted us an increased price, which we agreed to, and we still only received a "mood board" with images that we had previously sent to Elise. As the wedding got closer, her support dwindled and we heard from Elise less and less, leading up to Elise walking away from our wedding the week before it took place (with all of our money). Our team of wedding vendors were shocked at how poorly we had been treated and asked us to let others know. If you want a rinse and repeat wedding, you could consider hiring Elise, but I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere and hire a planner that genuinely cares about creating a memorable experience based on what you dream of, instead of recycling what Elise has taken credit for in the past.

From the moment she responded to our initial outreach to the day of our wedding, Lindsey was a thoughtful, kind, and happy person to be around and work with. We received a lot of emails from vendors with ten or more exclamation points in their congratulations to us, which always felt fake and over-the-top to us. Lindsey never felt like anything but a genuinely amazing person who we liked talking to and working with. When we spoke to Lindsey, we immediately clicked with her and loved her thoughtful questions and approach, and it was an incredibly tough decision to ultimately hire someone else who had 10+ more years of experience as a wedding planner, because we thought that decade of experience would give us the peace of mind we needed, especially as we were planning the wedding from out of state.We were wrong. We ended up letting our other coordinator go 2 1/2 weeks before our wedding, as that individual came to meetings wildly unprepared and was just generally unprofessional. Thankfully, Lindsey was available and willing to step in at the last minute and be our day-of coordinator. She stepped in without any hesitancy, and working with her was immediately night and day to what we had previously experienced with the other coordinator. Before our first call, Lindsey had gone through all of our contracts and knew all of our vendors, our proposed timeline, and had pertinent and timely questions. She asked us about everything from the number of wine glasses to ways of rethinking our timeline to give us more time with our guests, and just generally made sure we had thought of every last detail ahead of the wedding. I cannot quite express the weight that lifted from my shoulders knowing that Lindsey was on top of things. She is a joy to be around in a genuine way and made the short time before our wedding stress-free and allowed us to just be excited for the wedding! Lindsey came and picked up boxes and boxes of decor from my home a few days before the wedding, because it was the only time that worked for me to give it to her, even though I know it was not her preferred time. Everything she did for us was just above and beyond. The day of was a dream, despite some hiccups, and that is all because Lindsey was working in the background to make sure we weren't stressed out about anything. By way of just one example of how she juggled things and stayed amazing, Lindsey talked to our ring bearer and kept him engaged so that he wouldn't miss his mom and would stay quiet and calm as we waited to walk down the aisle, while also making sure everyone else walked at the right times. Things that went wrong that we didn't have to deal with/that Lindsey made right: Despite all of our detailed planning, my father in law forgot to pick up the bouquets from the venue for our first look photos. The arbor didn't have any greenery on it and had these goofy little pinwheels on it that looked terrible. The pies (from a vendor I found) that we had so meticulously tasted and agonized over the flavors of showed up so undercooked that our caterer didn't feel comfortable serving them. It rained in the middle of our ceremony. Lindsey made sure we had flowers ready the moment we arrived at the venue, had the florist switch out the arbor decorations so that they looked elegant and beautiful before guests even arrived, someone from the catering staff drove to a grocery store to get ice cream so that we would have dessert, and our cocktail hour was moved inside and the appetizers went from a table to passed appetizers, while half of our dinner tables were moved around so that guests weren't blown or washed away by the wind and rain, and it was all done without their knowing the cocktail hour wasn't always planned for inside. If you're looking for someone who will help you to make your wedding your own, and allow you to just be in the moment and enjoy your day, I cannot recommend Lindsey highly enough. She stepped in when she didn't have to, and stepped up in every way imaginable. She's amazing!

I wasn't even originally going to get a day of coordinator until I chatted with a friend of mine, and she told me that your day of coordinator will help you enjoy every inch of your wedding day. She could not have been more correct, because I feel like Kimë and her assistant Byers took such good care of me and my husband the entire day. Leading up to the wedding, Kimë was warm and kind, but was also organized, direct, and knew how to get things done. She made it so easy for us to know exactly what she needed during the planning process. The feeling of having that weight lifted from your shoulders as a bride is priceless, and my husband and I were able to go into our wedding day with a clear head. Kate was the perfect photographer for our private elopement! After looking around at other…read morephotographers, it was a no-brainer to go with Kate for three main reasons: (1) her visible commitment to celebrating queerness, (2) her cool style that matched what we were looking for visually, and (3) her transparent pricing structure that included an elopement package option. Almost no one else tells you up front what it will cost, and very few have a smaller pricing tier for elopements/partial day commitments. Kate was the exception to this! Also, day-of, she was fantastic: she was able to easily take charge and "direct" us, which we definitely needed, since we're not used to being in front of the camera. My husband and I knew we wanted to create a unique, beautiful wedding experience that we, our family and friends would cherish and remember. We'd wanted elements of a traditional wedding weekend but one that felt fun and not like every other wedding we'd been to. We also knew that, as a busy engineer and lawyer, we had very little knowledge about what goes into a great wedding and very little time or desire to learn the intricacies of "the perfect wedding." Alex spent hours asking probing and fun questions. He really got to know our visions, desires and quirks. There were so many times when we said things like "we want a dinner the night before, but not a typical rehearsal reception with people standing around at hightop in a bland conference room." He absorbed all of it and turned it into a fabulous weekend. Alex's encyclopedic knowledge about James and Rebecca was invaluable when my work got super crazy a few months before the wedding. When I told Alex that I could do big decisions, but the little ones, like choosing ribbon color or envelopes for invitations, were hurting my brain, Alex stepped in and planned everything based on what he knew about us. Alex found us a breathtaking space in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor, he coordinated flowers to match my colorful dress, helped pick perfect delicious meal stations that suited a variety of dietary needs, organized the music and stayed on top of the hotel until their 3,000 square foot Parker suite opened up. Alex interviewed and found the best make-up artist, designed hand calligraphed journals for our guests, and created guest bags that with fun and useful things. I could go on and on! Alex's management of every detail meant the weekend ran smoothly and everyone was happy! He created a bowling night for our out-of-town guests and wedding party, worked with the hotel make sure family members with friction had rooms far away from each other, stocked our bride and groom suite with snacks and champagne, moved us us through the precise schedule of photos, ceremony and reception, and organized a fun and delicious good-bye brunch. When a surprisingly rainy June meant our outdoor ceremony space was a mud-field, Alex pivoted and redesigned a large alcove in the reception space to be a cozy ceremony space. So many of our friends and family have said that ours was one of the best weddings they'd ever attended. Ok, ok, maybe they have to say that, but in this case, I think it's probably true!
