We went through A Touch of Bliss for our month of coordination for our wedding in Beaver Creek and were paired with Kylie as our MoC. Our experience wasn't all bad, but execution left things to be desired. Leading up to the event was generally positive. - Ahead of event Kylie was prompt with communication and always friendly and polite - We appreciated the templates provided by ToB and Google Docs - Kylie was willing to answer ad hoc questions and seemed to understand general event planning protocols During the event, the wheels came off. Despite being assured ahead of the event that we were in great shape and that there were no concerns, execution showed that the team did not adequately plan resources to properly service our event. We tried to be transparent in the lead up by providing itemized lists of decor, reviewing timelines multiple times, and doing pre-work ourselves to set the team up for success (Eg: all boxes were labeled and had an itemized manifest, staging area was mapped prior to load in, and details like napkin folds and arrangements were predone ahead of time by us), but the team was not prepared. As a result, we lost over $200 in floral decor that was not delivered to the right parties or used, multiple family members and bridal party members had to donate their time (and sleep) to ensure the event proceeded. The rings even got forgotten prior to the ceremony (although we do give Kylie props for sprinting to find them at altitude). Despite started the event late, I had to pinch hit right before the reception started to help set up as the groom. At the end of the night the crew started striking during the event, and the mother and father of the bride felt compelled to help in frigid weather to ensure strike completed at all. I did reach out to ToB with this feedback to try and make amends as well as ensure that they could use it as a learning opportunity, but the feedback was not received and amends were not made, despite the shortfalls identified being within the control of ToB (root cause being improper resourcing). We hope that the team sees this as an opportunity to improve their planning protocols, and changes heart on considering making amends. read more

I cannot say enough good things about A Touch of Bliss and Lauren, our wedding planner. From Day 1, everyone at Touch of Bliss made my wife and I feel heard and they did not try to push any particular packages on us, but suggested the best package based on the progress we had made on our own and the needs we would have going forward. Once we started working with Lauren, she was so incredibly helpful in every way. She gave us the option of being more hands on or hands off and asked how much we do or do not want to be included in vendor communication, meetings, etc. Lauren was just the right amount of communicative and even went out of her way to connect with us on weekends and off-hours even though she definitely did not need to. During a tasting at our venue for my daughters wedding, the owner promised that part of her service was to pick up and return rental flowers. I kept talking to my assigned coordinator who didn't have room in her car for my items. Then they will tell you that part of their service is bringing all the decorations and any other items to the venue. After a lot of emails back and forth, I didn't trust them not to miss something. So I brought all the wedding items to the venue as I didn't want anything missing. Sure enough at the end of the night - part of their service is to pick up everything and pack it for you. They were supposed to take the rental flowers back. I had to talk to my coordinator several times to make sure this was going to be done. Well several flowers and center pieces were missing during their pack up and it cost me $164. When I approached the owner, she said it was not part of their service and I was lucky they did this for me. If you want to have a worry free event, I would use another service. read more

I originally loved working with Touch of Bliss for my wedding day. I booked them in the middle of the pandemic a year out from my wedding date. They were recommended to us by our venue and at first everything was wonderful. However, once we got assignment our coordinator, a bunch of things started to fall through the cracks. Our coordinator was wonderful but seemed fairly new at her job. This made us worried so my mother made sure to confirm multiple times on email, text and meetings of what we needed the coordinator to do. One of these things that we were super picky about was our flowers. The flowers were rented through Compass Rose and they were unable to deliver/pick up due to multiple weddings in the mountains on the same date as our wedding. Before confirming that we could grab them, we sent out multiple emails and meetings with our TOB coordinator to have her grab it and drop them back off afterwards. With email proof, we were confirmed plenty of times of this. My mother being a type A personality, got nervous about the situation so decided to rent a car to pick up the flowers and just have our coordinator return them the Sunday after the wedding. Two days later we get an invoice from Compass Rose saying we over nearly $200+ because of missing items and broken pieces. My mother and I were confused because we saw everything inside the bridal suite so not sure how items went missing. Nevertheless, we sent it over to Adrianne (the owner) to let her know how upset we were about the charge, knowing we would have to pay it regardless of the situation. We get a response back from Adrianne to have her lie to us and say they don't do pick up and drop off. If this was the case, your employees should be aware of the policy and let the clients know. And although this could be the case, it is still the coordinators job to make sure all items are in place as expected when clients ask multiple times. Overall really bummed because I loved this company and working with them. It wasn't until this situation did it make this a hassle. When it comes to wedding stuff, it is clear that once companies get paid, they often don't care about you after (or so it felt to us). read more

We hired ATOB in early January 2019 for our Memorial Day 2019 wedding (5/27/19) in Estes Park, CO. We had already secured our venue and contracted our vendors. As I told the owner during our first phone call, I was more than capable of planning the event, but I didn't want to be the only one with all of the answers to the many questions that could (and did) arise the day of the event. Adrienne was very pleasant on the phone and lead me to believe I would be in good hands. As a result of our phone conversations, we were assigned to Rebecca Newton as our wedding planner. For our first meeting, Rebecca chose a coffee shop which she had never visited. As a result, my fiance and I sat on stools in a line with Rebecca, as this was the only seating option at the tiny cafe in Lodo. We spent 2 hours reviewing the questions Rebecca had on her form, and she did not show any interest in reviewing the binder full of information or samples of decor and favors that we brought with us to CO. My fiance and I were not impressed, but we continued the relationship because ATOB had been recommended by another one of our vendors and was on the list of vendors provided by the venue. Three weeks prior to our wedding, my fiance fell and broke his hip. What had been a well-planned wedding weekend in the mountains quickly became an exercise in revision and simplification. Unfortunately, from the first time we notified Rebecca of my fiance's accident, she never seemed to be on the same page as us, my family, our vendors, or the wedding staff at the venue. She contacted vendors without sharing the information that she learned with us, resulting in some costly last minute changes. The day of the wedding, Rebecca made some "executive decisions" (the term used by her boss, when we filed a complaint) that resulted in family members with hurt feelings, a handmade guestbook never getting signed, our greeters being moved out of position, extra meals being prepared by the caterer and never eaten, personal property disappearing, and at the end of the night my own mother went home in tears after an unpleasant interaction with Rebecca. Rebecca was good about reminding me to drink water at altitude, but other than that she was way out of her depth in terms of logistical coordination, customer service, follow through, and professionalism. She may have been an adequate assistant at one point, but she wreaked havoc on our wedding and I hope others will be able to avoid a similar outcome. read more

We had the most amazing experience using a touch of bliss! We used them as our day of coordinator, and could not have been more happy that we chose them! The day of coordination option allows them to begin working with you about 3ish months before your wedding day, and I cannot rave enough about how amazing our coordinator Kacey was. She thought out every single detail. After our first meeting, she sent us an entire excel spreadsheet of everything (i mean, everything!) we needed to do leading up to the wedding, created our day of timelines and our seating chart, took over complete communication with our vendors and kept them in the loop about timeline changes, ran our rehearsal and even provided our wedding party with a timeline for the actual wedding day. On the actual wedding day, she was even more amazing! She let us give our decor to her the day before the wedding so we didn't have to stress about it on the day of, which was such a relief. And then with literally little to no direction, she and Kassandra (who came as the second day of coordinator to help) made our vision come to life and everything was set up so beautifully and perfect! It was literally the wedding of our dreams. They also packed everything up at the end of the night and put it in our cars to pick up next day, so we were able to just enjoy the rest of our evening celebrating. We loved our experience with Touch Of Bliss! We were referred to them from our venue and started with a video call to discuss our wedding vision. After that we were been paired with Rebecca Rebecca Newton-Wirth who was absolutely amazing! She really did such a great job and helped to take so much of the stress off of us and keep us on track throughout the planning process. She was very organized and took care of all the details! We communicated often and and she even recommended some of our other vendors to us which was such a blessing! We've never planned a wedding before and trusted her experience and recommendations. Our day flew by so quickly, but Rebecca made sure everything went smoothly and we didn't forget anything! She coordinated the deliveries with all of the vendors and made sure everything was set us the way we wanted it, so on the day of the wedding we were able to just relax and enjoy the day. Our favorite moment of the entire wedding was actually Rebecca's idea! Our venue had a balcony that overlooked the entire reception space. She suggested we sneak off for dinner and had dinner on the balcony just the two of us. It was the perfect moment. She very discretely snagged us away from the guests and had dinner waiting for us when we got up there. We got to take a breath and have just 15 minutes to ourselves to eat dinner, look out over our wedding and see all of our guests enjoying themselves. A Touch of Bliss was a preferred vendor with my venue. I thought they were reasonably priced and my coordinator did offer more help than just day-of coordination. She was a great help in coordinating vendor communication. She was flexible with meetings as I was planning a wedding from out of town. She created a timeline that made the night run smoothly. However, I felt like my rehearsal was not really a rehearsal as we didn't practice the whole ceremony from start to finish, just walking in and out which left my bridal party confused, and the officiant wasn't told to practice his speech with us during the rehearsal so our vows were messed up during the actual ceremony. Additionally, there was some sort of miscommunication as all my flowers went missing at the end of the night and my food didn't make it into the fridge so my leftovers were wasted. Rumor has it that flowers were being sent home with other vendors to enjoy. A plan was made at the final walkthrough to keep everything overnight at the venue, but that plan seemly slipped through the cracks. Now that our lawsuit against Touch of Bliss and Kerri Butler has concluded I am free to tell you my story. I should say that we have heard that Kerri has sold Touch of Bliss recently, and my heart goes out to the couples who will now be transitioned to a new planner (possibly more than once) right before their big day. We hired Kerri Butler and Touch of Bliss to plan our wedding last August, for our wedding in July. After two months (slow months, with zero contracts in place, only one caterer tried, etc.) we got a phone call with "good news and bad news." The bad news was that our planner was "invited to be a bridesmaid" during our wedding weekend and Touch of Bliss had no other available planners. The "good news" was that her personal friend was willing to do it. We said we'd think about it. We decided to say no: after bad service and quitting, we just didn't trust Kerri to have our best interests at heart. We knew she would keep at least some of our money, meaning that this friend would have to be willing to do the same wedding for less money in a shorter time. When we asked for our money back Kerri only offered us a little more than half of it, including asking for an $1,800 "deposit" that we would forfeit based on our "cancellation" of the contract. She also demanded we sign a non-disparagement agreement. Things escalated quickly to court. FYI: a party breaches a contract when they unambiguously communicate to the other party that they cannot or will not perform what they promised. Contracts for personal services (such as wedding planning) cannot be assigned unilaterally. Also FYI: in Colorado it is possible to obtain damages for emotional distress for breach of contract in some circumstances. (This is not legal advice, consult an attorney). read more

We had a pretty terrible experience with this company so I would definitely advise brides to steer clear of this place. Kerri makes a great sale, but with 15+ planners you just never know what you are going to get. This was the one service we did not shop around for and we regretted that. A couple months after meeting with Kerri, we had not signed up yet so she offered a 10% discount for signing by October for our July wedding. When we went to put the deposit down, Kerri then said we have to pay in full to receive the discount. We reluctantly did, but that was the first red flag and we regretted that rookie mistake. We initially signed up for the service that included day of planning and creative design. After a few meetings with our planner we were getting frustrated that she wasn't providing any useful input on the design. We were doing all of the leg work ourselves, and then she would just agree with what we came up with. Fed up she wasn't saving us any time but was actually adding frustration to the process, we asked Kerri to downgrade our package to the day of planning service. The week of the wedding I had all of my vendors contacting me asking about timeline, parking and other logistics that our planner was supposed to take care of. Many of our vendors did not have a good experience working with her, and we ended up being pretty embarrassed that she was our planner. She completely messed up our timeline for the wedding day, consequently leaving me standing around for two hours waiting for photos, but my husband had to rush around to get ready and ended up with wet hair for photos. She also completely went against our ceremony plan. I reiterated to her during the rehearsal multiple times how we wanted the processional to go, but on our wedding day she still went against those wishes. I could go on and on with the issues we had, but it's just too much to write here. We paid for an experience professional, and that is not what we got. She was consistently unprofessional in her demeanor, attire and the way she coordinated our vendors showed a total lack of experience. Also, Kerri charged us an additional $500 for having our wedding in Grand Lake (vs. Denver), saying the extra cost was for trips back and forth and lodging for those trips. We went to Grand Lake for one walk through with our planner, which did not require an overnight stay and certainly didn't cost $500 in gas. But once she had our money, our experience did not matter to her. Also, beware of the vague contract language - another learning lesson for us. We absolutely loved all of our vendors, except Touch of Bliss. It is really too bad when the service you hire to ease the planning process and save you time, ends up being the one company you regret hiring. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Feel free to send me a private message to confirm my authenticity.** From a frugal (read: cheap) groom's point of view, hiring a company to do what we could do ourselves seemed a hefty waste of money. In the internet age--even planning a destination wedding from halfway across the nation though we were--I couldn't see spending money on a wedding planner. In hindsight, I'm so glad we did. To those gentlemen who may be of the same opinion, ask yourself how much your bride's sanity (and likely your own, by extension) is really worth. A wedding is stressful enough; ours much more than most due to other huge life changes. Thanks mostly to ATOB, our wedding day went off without a hitch, and more importantly, my bride was relaxed, stress-free and able to enjoy the day. That, to me, was priceless. We hired ATOB about one year prior to our planned wedding date. Because we were living in the Southeastern US at the time, all our planning was to be done via Skype and through email. Our initial consultation convinced us that Kerri led a crack team of professionals, and convinced us that ATOB was the right choice. We were assigned a consultant, and after a few weeks, we were starting to get concerned when she was slow to respond to our requests. Before I could even voice my concerns, I received a phone call from Kerri that she had to let our consultant go because she wasn't meeting the standards Kerri expected out of her planners. She reassigned Aimee to our wedding, and we were extremely pleased with the new level of service. By the time Aimee took over, we had settled on our reception venue in Estes Park. She helped negotiate contracts, found vendors within our budget, and set us up with meetings once we determined that we would actually be able to make it to Colorado prior to the wedding date. She did all of this without ever meeting face-to-face, even when my bride had to be out of the country for several months. Eventually we found out that we would be moving to the Pacific Northwest just one month prior to the wedding. As part of that move, we were actually on the road for over one month before we made it to our new home. With our limited access to the internet, Aimee and her assistant, Stephanie, were invaluable in the critical last few months prior to the wedding. They kept us up to date on what they were doing, and let us know when a decision had to be made. I can't stress enough how important that was to us in the final two months before the wedding; we were extremely distracted and Aimee and Stephanie kept everything right on track. Finally, the wedding day came and everything was perfect. My bride had a team of ATOB planners making sure she had everything she needed, and that everything went off without a hitch. Our families and guests kept complimenting us on how nice the wedding was, how nothing went wrong, and how beautiful it all was. And, as I said before, stress-free. We were able to simply enjoy ourselves. A couple days after the wedding, we found out that there had been a miscommunication between Aimee and the cake server at our venue involving the difference between "serve" and "reserve." When we asked her about it, Aimee immediately took care of the situation. She had the baker make another top tier and even shipped it all the way to us herself, since the baker doesn't ship her wedding cakes. My review has gone longer than I intended now. We definitely made the right decision in hiring ATOB, and if we had it all to do again, would not hesitate to hire them again. read more

My husband and I used A Touch of Bliss for our wedding and Sierra Cooper was our day-of coordinator. She and her whole team were absolutely amazing! They were timely, responsive, detail oriented, and extremely helpful! Sierra was in constant communication with me and our vendors and she made sure everything was in order and ready to go for the day of the wedding! Sierra and her team coordinated the entire set up and breakdown of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! I'm still amazed that my husband and I were able to drive off at the end of the night without lifting a finger!! I also love that our families didn't have to work the whole day - they could enjoy the day without worrying about what needed to happen next! I loved doing all the planning for our wedding, but having a day-of coordinator was DEFINITELY worth it!! Cassie was an absolute life saver as a Day of Coordinator. From the start, she was there to boost my confidence when I thought I was behind on my preparations, she provided me with organizational google docs that all of our vendors were impressed with. She helped me plan our day out to the minute so that everyone could be on the same page for whatever was happening at specific times and I also had some cushion if things went a little behind. When I needed some advice, she was super helpful and consulted her team on any of my out of the box questions I asked. Cassie & Sierra did an amazing job with set up and breakdown of everything. It was a relief knowing everything on our wedding day was taken care of and it was reassuring knowing my out of town family wouldn't be busy doing tasks for our big day instead of being able to relax with us. I was a super chill bride and I owe that all to Cassie because I knew she had my back in supporting me throughout the day! 10/10 recommend A Touch of Bliss to any Denver area couples getting married!!!! We really liked working with our wedding coordinator prior to the event--she was great at preparing lists of todos, communicating with our vendors, reaching out to schedule meetings proactively, suggesting decor, etc. And the wedding and pre-wedding dinner were both great events that guests raved about. But we hired Touch of Bliss primarily for day-of-coordination, and during the event, we kept having to notice issues ourselves and delegate them to other folks, rather than the Touch of Bliss team catching them and resolving them. It was a big, tricky event (200-225 people over a day and a half at a private property), but they had multiple people and lots of family available to call on, and an ideal coordination experience would have translated to being able to completely step out of "event host" mode and relax, which we weren't able to do. Examples of things we ran into: no water stocked at the bar; dessert not setup by the time we transitioned to the dancefloor and not organized into the vegan/egg-free/other groups we had made chalkboards to designate; coolers running out of drinks without being refilled; some of the decor we purchased not being set out; noticing that it was getting dark and needing to send people to turn on lights; needing to remind the DJ to get speeches started--notably, none of these are disastrous items, and the big things went fine. But 5-star day-of coordination would mean none of these things would have required our attention. read more

worst wedding planner ever. she forgot the rehearsal then said the next day that it was to far for her to drive to the venue to do a fifteen minute job. forgot the bottled water for guests. forgot to put the petals out I gave them. I asked where they were for the ceremony and they made the excuse it was for the grand entrance. okay well they forgot that to. the caretaker of the venue even caught them in little white lies. terrible terrible service.
