We got married at Lionsgate in Lafayette, CO and Will was our DJ. We met with him over Zoom for a hour a week or two before our wedding and explained the vision. He did a great job announcing the wedding party, parent dances, and our first dance. He suggested we cut our songs a bit short which was perfect. He did a great job cutting the song so it sounded natural. For the reception, we made a huge Spotify playlist (over 500 songs) for him to choose from. He did a great job of keeping the party going all night. We asked that guests do not make requests and Will very much honored this. We also asked select artists not be played (like Diddy and R. Kelly - for obvious reasons) and he was totally cool with it and respected it. 10/10 - felt great with him on the mic and keeping the party going! read more

The DJ service contracted through Wedgewood Weddings at Craftwood Peak was extremely unprofessional. We were promised a DJ familiar with our music taste and timely communication, yet heard nothing for over a month and only after reaching out ourselves. Our first meeting was canceled 15 minutes prior by DJ Fritz. Despite providing detailed playlists, song links, timestamps, and clear instructions (no country music, audible ceremony music, energetic reception), the wrong music was played during the entire ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The ceremony music was too quiet to hear, and country music was played despite explicit requests. When concerns were raised, Fritz's manager, Andrew S., whom we had never met, unknowingly arrived inappropriately dressed, attempted to blame us, and behaved unprofessionally on the dance floor. Although we were eventually fully refunded through Craftwood, it came only after continued pushback. The experience left a lasting negative mark on our wedding day. Avoid this company. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Unresponsive and Unprofessional We had a very poor experience with DJ Maestro. My wife and I booked them for our wedding, but just three weeks later (and nearly four months before our wedding date), we had a change of plans and politely requested to cancel. Despite the very early notice--17 weeks ahead of our event--they refused to refund our $900 deposit, even though we hadn't been assigned a DJ yet and no services had been rendered. What made things significantly worse was their lack of communication. After we sent multiple emails over the span of two weeks, we were completely ignored. It wasn't until we cc'ed their general email and escalated that someone finally responded, only to reiterate their "non-refundable" policy and try to upsell us on photo booth services we didn't ask for. Even after we were told the final decision was up to the owner (Tony), he never responded to us at all. This lack of accountability and basic professionalism from a wedding vendor is unacceptable. Planning a wedding is stressful enough--working with DJ Maestro only added to that stress. We strongly caution anyone considering this company to think twice. Their communication is unreliable, and they showed little flexibility or empathy for our situation. read more

The music was something we were very nervous about as we had a wide range of genres and styles of music on our playlists. After our first consultation with Sean we were immediately relieved of all our nerves. What we loved most is Sean wanted to get to know us on a personal level first, before getting to business, and he asked all the questions to make us feel comfortable. And the communication from the consultation till the day of the wedding to add/edit anything on the playlist or timeline was seamless and he was so quick to respond. On the actual night of the event Sean could not have done a better job. He did a great job with all the playlists and held it down being the MC. I recently attended a wedding in the Denver area. The DJ was provided by Maestro, but didn't catch her name specifically (young lady, brown hair). The DJ had absolutely no presence. And when the music that had been pre-selected by guests had been played, the DJ just started playing house music, which was about as far away from the vibe as possible. When asked to change the music, she refused to let people even see her CPU to determine which tracks they could select from. When a guest tried to simply walk around the small table to get a view of the screen, she called over somebody to escort that person away and continued to play her own "stuff" despite how incongruent it was. Everybody thinks they're a DJ these days. But DJs play to the crowd, not themselves. And especially at a wedding? Terrible. read more

He paired with us super well during our initial meeting and was very knowledgeable of the process with Wedgewood. During the wedding, Sean MCed for the Ceremony, Cocktail, Dinner, Dances, Speeches and throughout the dancing at the end. This guy even went up to every table personally to release them to get food during the dinner service. His choice of music was everything we were hoping for and more, which got everyone on the floor: from my 3 year-old niece to my 89 year-old grandmother. This was the "preferred vendor" at our venue and we heard nothing but great things about the DJs. We asked specifically for a DJ that will be active on the mic, getting people on the dance floor, and keeping an upbeat party vibe. We did not get any of those things. Our DJ was more often away from the DJ booth and seemed like he used a single premade playlist (from someone else's wedding) the whole time. My husband and I had several moments where we were completely confused by the music he was playing because it did not fit the atmosphere we said we wanted at all. The few songs we asked to be played were the only songs that fit our vibe at all. DJ missed multiple announcements throughout the night and then came to the bride to ask questions about timing despite being told who the event coordinator was. Not sure if he even looked at the timeline he was given since the announcements were clearly written on it. He did not seem like he had ever DJed at this venue before but we were told he had been there multiple times. Overall very disappointing that we didn't have the atmosphere that we had asked for in multiple meetings. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Shayn from DJ Maestro for our wedding this summer. I can't say enough about how good our experience was. One of the most important things to us was that people were on the dancefloor consistently and having a great time. I was very concerned as we were starting the search for a wedding DJ that we could find someone who understood the tone we were going for. The second we met Shayn I knew that he "got" us. We were quickly on the same page about the style of music we wanted and more importantly the difference between a reception winning song and one that is played out a cheesy. Paul from DJ Maestro was the DJ for our wedding last month, and we were over the top impressed. Our wedding venue partners with DJ Maestro, so we were hoping we would get someone we liked. From the first meeting, we knew Paul was the perfect DJ for our wedding. We met at a coffee shop and he started the meeting by just wanting to get to know us - our story, how we met, how we envision our wedding day, etc. Then, we jumped into the music, and Paul was flexible and accommodating with our requests, and provided tips and suggestions when we were unsure of what we wanted or had questions. The day of the wedding, Paul did an amazing job working with our pastor to get mic'ed up, and the ceremony music went off without a hitch. Paul did a great job announcing all of our moments and keeping everything on schedule - when we got ourselves off schedule with all of our greeting times, Paul kept checking in to see how we wanted to proceed, and would update us with how things would shift throughout the night - but he went with the flow and was easygoing about the entire process. We feel so blessed to have had a DJ that genuinely cared about us and making our day special - we loved working with him every step along the way, and he helped make our wedding the perfect day. Here are some things we loved about them: 1) They met with us readily and had a simple online contract to get things settled. 2) We loved the DJ they chose for us - Cody. He pretty much ran the reception, telling everyone what was going on, timing things perfectly and playing excellent music both during dinner and after. 3) LOVE their website. We could sit down and easily submit a list of songs to play. In addition (and my favorite part), guests were able to easily suggest songs in advance (that we could then accept or reject). 4) They were reasonably priced. He was so organized from the ceremony where he played all of our piano music, to the cocktail hour where we asked him to play oldies, to our entire reception. We chose DJ Maestro to help us with our wedding this past month, and we couldn't have been happier with the way the entire evening went. We met with our DJ, Ross, prior to the wedding and got a really good feel for him. These guys really want to help give you the night of your lives, and are willing to work with you to make it happen. He understood our style and what we wanted along with what the guests would want, and he delivered at the event. Our wedding was outside and the reception was in our barn on Saturday of the 100 year flood. Ross pushed through flooding roads to get there and he was able to pull off the night perfectly. A lot of our friends and family were talking about the good variety in playlist he provided during dinner and during the party afterwards. He told us that he would feel the crowd and ask us if we wanted him to keep playing as the night pushed along and got late. He came up numerous times and the night kept going and party went on.
