Avoid A Music Plus at all costs -- they're cheap for a reason. We initially chose them because they were listed as a preferred vendor by our venue. Since then, we've been informed that the venue no longer recommends them due to numerous issues -- and unfortunately, we experienced those firsthand. After booking nearly a year in advance, we were told to fill out a questionnaire and wait until a few weeks before the wedding to connect. Three months out, I proactively reached out to request sample videos, setlists, and to confirm that the DJ and saxophonist had experience working together. I also asked to be connected directly with them to begin collaboration -- a reasonable request. A Music Plus declined everything. They stated their musicians are not required to practice together ahead of time. After discovering a negative review about the saxophonist, I asked about it. Trinity responded that the sax player is uncomfortable with rap and hip-hop because "they have little to no structure." That was never disclosed before booking -- and frankly, it shows a lack of understanding of genres like Rufus Du Sol or GRiZ. When I raised concerns, their CEO deflected, blaming past poor experiences on clients' lack of planning. By contrast, every other musician I've contacted immediately wants to understand our vision and plan accordingly. A Music Plus, however, prefers to wait until the last minute -- a risky move for such an important day. When we asked to cancel the contract due to these concerns and misleading communication, they suddenly reversed course, claiming they could now meet our needs and have the musicians rehearse -- a complete contradiction of what they said before. Despite never meeting with us or doing any pre-wedding planning, they are still demanding 25% of the payment. Bottom line: if you care about professionalism, transparency, and a vendor you can trust with one of the most important days of your life, spend the extra money and go with true professionals. We were super bummed out by this company. We had tried to communicate with them many times before our wedding and thought we were squared away but were super disappointed. The started setting up at the wrong place in the venue and I (the bride) had to tell them they were in the wrong location. They also were not knowledgeable about the processional songs and played my processional song first. They also did not read the room during our wedding and made inappropriate announcements regarding getting drunk because the bar was closing in a crowd that was not the proper setting. The DJ also had a hard time reading the dance floor when guests weren't feeling a song anymore. We also put that we did not want requested songs and they did them anyway. First I'd like to say that I am not one to run to Yelp every time I don't get what I expect out of a business. I attempted to reach out to the company about my bad experience and nevver heard anything back. Since they don't want to settle things professioally - here I am I guess. Here was my experience with our DJ. The worst moment that I can't stop thinking back to and cringing: At the end of the ceremony, NO recessional/exit music played to walk back up the isle to. I understood that something went wrong with the Bluetooth connection - which can be unreliable sometimes. However, we just stood there awkwardly, waiting for him to play the music or AT LEAST motion for us to walk down without music. He just sat there - crickets- and didn't give us any understanding or direction of what was going on or how to proceed. Maybe I didn't make this specifically clear, but for the grand entrance, I wanted all my bridesmaids to walk out in a group and then all the groomsmen to walk out in a group. Instead, I got the cookie-cutter way of walking out in pairs - which I specifically did not want - as I wanted that all to be a quick portion of the night. Be warned if you have any non-traditional requests since they clearly just treat you like a number. Th biggest reason why we got a DJ was to have a good emcee that would announce everything so that no one missed anything. Unfortunately, ALL of his announcements sounded muffled and echoed - multiple people told me that they couldn't understand what he was saying most of the time. No one knew what was going on ever. This was really disappointing to me as it was the main reason why I wanted a DJ. The money dance also didn't go well. He did not give anyone time to break cash at the bar or even get their cash together. He cut off the music very quickly and abruptly. It did not flow at all. I even had multiple guests tell me that they were on their way to the dance floor with cash but the music stopped so they just had to throw the money on the floor. I wish he would've read the room a little better instead of just cut off the music like that. The music throughout the night was not what I expected. There were multiple times when the dance floor was completely empty. I had to tell him myself to change up the music in order to get people dancing. Finally, I had to remind the DJ of our requested last song because he almost wrapped up the night without playing it. I really don't think he was a good fit and, when I look back on my night, these are the things I wish would have gone better. After I spoke to Pat before signing a contract, I was under the impression that we would get to choose our DJ or at least SPEAK to him ahead of time to make sure we were a good match. I know that hiccups happen in every wedding but this was our ONLY vendor that we truly feel disappointed in. read more

We used A Music Plus Entertainment as our wedding DJ, and in the simplest of terms, they completely derailed every single aspect of our wedding day. I'm writing this review not so much to slam the company as a whole, but rather to warn other couples that no matter how much you think you are over communicating your wants and needs, it will not always get communicated down the pipeline properly. I would highly recommend hiring a single DJ that you can listen to their music and style and hire directly as opposed to hiring a large company that outsources a number of DJs. A Music Plus claims that they will choose the DJ who best suits your needs and communicate everything to them, but that isn't what happened. Here's a summary of how A Music Plus Entertainment fucked up our entire day. First and foremost, as we prepared for the most exciting moment of our lives, our DJ was nowhere to be found at 2:45 with a 3:00 ceremony start time. Guests were seated with absolutely no music. From what I heard, Our DJ arrived after 3:00 and set up his equipment on the wedding deck itself as if he was about to perform a set for the crowd. It was such a circus that guests were taking their phones out and filming. The DJ also continued to speak to our guests, blaming "bad traffic" for his tardiness. Everyone who has ever driven from Denver to Vail knows that I70 has traffic and to leave extra time, especially for an event such as a wedding. Somehow all of our guests were able to make it on time despite the "traffic". Our guests tell us that they also had to tell him that he was set up in the wrong place and that he proceeded to ask our wedding guests (who are dressed in suits) to help move his equipment. As a bride, it was very anxiety inducing waiting and waiting for the ceremony to start. Then, they called the processional to line up and I'd say we stood there for a good 10-15 minutes while we waited for the DJ and our guests to continue to move his equipment (still no music). During the recessional, he played "Bring Em Out" and "Back in Black" as guests left the ceremony. We asked for music such as Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, etc. How would anyone think that's appropriate music for a ceremony recessional? By the time our ceremony was over, we were running over 30 minutes late. Vail Wedding Deck only allows 90 min time slots, so we only had the deck reserved until 4:00. Needless to say, photos were very stressful. We weren't even halfway through the photos we wanted when we started to get kicked out. Kevin and I hardly got to take a photo as a couple because we were so rushed. As we were being pushed off the wedding deck, we see our DJ struggling to carry the equipment, so our guests were carrying it for him. Instead of enjoying the gondola ride down with my new husband, we were frantically trying to find the phone number of our wedding transportation (we didn't have our phones), so that we could let them know how late we were. No guests were able to make the first two buses, so everyone had to squeeze on the last one. It was so crowded that guests had to stand "butts to nuts" as the driver called it. Some of our guests even had to get on the wedding party shuttle in order to be able to fit. Our wedding party was not able to go to Vail Village as planned for more wedding photos. We specifically hired the extra bus for this purpose, but we had to go directly to the reception as we were already terribly late. I remember feeling filled with anxiety on that bus ride but trying to smile through it since it was our wedding day. I even told my husband, "if this is our big mishap on our wedding I'm fine with it. Let's just have a kick ass reception." Well this was just the start. We show up to cocktail hour and there is no music. The DJ was supposed to be set up inside with the doors open and a speaker placed outside. That didn't happen. We also hired two DJs to ensure someone could be set up at the cocktail hour in time. Even though our DJ was at the Pavilion there was no music outside. For grand entrances, he called out peoples' names so close together that as one couple was doing their entrance they were already calling out the couple one or two behind them so no one's names were being called as they were actually walking in. They also started calling wedding party's names while they were still playing our parents' walk out song and then started to play my husband and I's walk out song before our maid of honor and best man even came out. If I wasn't recommended to this place by my wedding venue I wouldn't have chose this place with all the bad reviews. Also I wished I would've checked before booking. We didn't receive our DJ, after requesting was approved (verbally by the owner) Owner said the light on the dance floor was a promo weeks before the wedding. We then transferred the money over to book the date. One day before the wedding they said the promo wasn't valid it was a miscommunication. And that they over charged $100.00. We've emailed them about the 100.00 refund. They Ignored us. On the night of the wedding my guests were requesting music and the show denied them. My husband and I had to physically go up and request for them which was very inconvenient when it's our wedding we have stuff to do. All in all the worst of the worst. I have a review very similar to several that was previously written. We used A Music Plus Entertainment as our wedding DJ, and the services were completed unacceptable. We gave the services a timeline, had several touch bases, made the DJ a dinner playlist, and honestly tried to make their lives as easy as possible. Despite all of our efforts, the DJ service was awful. A Summary of what happened on my Wedding day: The processional music was incorrect The first dance music was incorrect The cake cutting music was incorrect We needed to have my bridesmaids dismiss each individual table for dinner after specifically requesting the DJ be MC and gave the DJ the table dismissal order. This was super stressful full as I specifically requested and was told that the DJ would have no problem and could do that. The DJ did not play the "Wedding Dinner" playlist specifically set up for dinner and shared with the company, as agreed upon during our pe- wedding meeting. When we asked the DJ why he wasn't playing our Spotify list he said quote "I can't play Spotify on my laptop"...so just FYI if you go with them your DJ can't even play Spotify The DJ did not follow the timeline or itinerary sent, which was quite specific as to when events should be happening. The DJ played the Groom/Mother dance randomly early during cocktail hour All in all almost every single major song/event on our wedding night that we trusted with A Music Plus Entertainment was messed up and unfortunately, that can not be fixed. Leaving this review in regards to the service we received at our wedding last summer. We got married about 6 months ago, and I still hear jokes from guests picking fun about the DJ; prompting this review now. Our wedding was at the Ritz Carlton Downtown Denver, but the DJ we received dressed like a bum and acted unprofessionally at the wedding. He was drinking on the job and even danced on the dance floor at one point. We complained and asked for a refund which was denied. The owner went on to defend the actions of his DJ which was totally unexpected. He actually said the DJ he sent was one of his top guys. At that point we decided to wash our hands of the matter. At this point we just want other engaged couples to avoid this vendor and so that their special day is not at risk of being ruined. Excellent DJ for events! My husband and I used them for our wedding and A Music Plus made our event an experience to remember. Our wedding was particularly difficult as far as all the locations we needed. Though we were at City Park Pavilion for all of our ceremony and reception, the ceremony was outdoors (it rained!), and the reception was divided between two sides of the pavilion and they were simply amazing. Everything worked, and they were incredibly accommodating. They send out lists for you to select songs in advance and did everything we asked! We love all sorts of music plus we have a lot of older family members who do not like our music. Lol. With that being said, all the planning that A Music put into our reception was amazing! We sat down for multiple meetings to try to make the perfect combination of family fun and also a full blown party. Erin was our planner for most of it and I loved her! She took everything and ran with it! For night of, Bryant was our DJ and he KILLED IT! I had my dad and his older friends on the dance floor, we had my husbands grandparents on the dance floor and after late night he turned it into a hip hop, EDM and emo show and I was in absolute love. We had all ages dancing all night, singing a the top of their lungs and head banging like there was no tomorrow. His mixing skills were fantastic and he created such a vibe! Not only that but they helped me make a beautiful edit for our first dance and helped me have the perfect mas up or here comes the bride and harry potter for my entrance song. Overall we had an amazing experience - our DJ was Fabio. We never completed the prewedding online questionnaire, but did have a call with one of the inhouse coordinator's and shared some songs choices. A Music Plus just provided DJ services for my daughter's wedding at Hudson Gardens. We had an excellent DJ who handled and accommodated all requests in terms of the processionals, recessional, first dance and reception. If she didn't have it, she tracked it down in advance of the wedding. Additionally, she set up and took down the sound system for the wedding and kept the reception flowing in terms of welcomes, toasts, first dance, etc. And all with an engaging personality and winsome smile. And as a favor to Yelpers, here are the other service providers who also made this a perfect day for my daughter, son-in-law and our families: Hudson Gardens (the Rose Garden) - 5 stars. What a lovely venue for an outdoor, summer wedding! Access is easy and there is abundant parking. The gardens are beautiful, the grounds are meticulously manicured, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Biscuits and Berries Catering - 5 stars - the food was excellent as were the hard-working staff who clearly went some extra miles to be sure everyone was taken care of and everything was special. Peak Beverage - 5 stars - purveyor of soft drinks and adult beverages. Like the caterer, Peak's staff were wonderful and clearly went extra miles to be sure that everything was special. Classic Photographers (Dmitriy K) - 5 stars - Dmitriy was our main photographer but they also deployed a second photographer for the ceremony itself so that events could be captured from multiple perspectives. Very professional and at the same time very efficient. Remarkably accommodating - in addition to the usual suite of wedding photographs, Dmitriy shot every cluster and cohort of individuals, families and attendees requested of him. Pretty Petals (flowers) - 5 stars - the venue was gardens, so it seemed that flowers were mostly superfluous. Nonetheless, bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, corsages and boutonnieres, were lovely, fresh and delivered right on time. And, at a much lower cost than any other florist we found. Understand that nothing about a wedding is inexpensive. On the other hand, you can't put a price tag on some things and you don't mind paying for quality.
