My go-to cafe every morning! I love the laid back, welcoming atmosphere, which makes Bellatazza very conducive to getting work/studying done or having a nice conversation with friends or travelers passing through. Everybody who works there is super nice and resourceful when it comes to suggestions. Also, the staff is always smiling and playing the best music. I feel very welcomed there. Located in a convenient spot downtown, where street parking is typically pretty easy to find. I've been here several times to grab a coffee and a snack, sometimes by myself, sometimes with some friends. The coffee is pleasant, nothing out of this world but I'd say for the most part decent. The espresso I tried one time was burnt so I veered away from ordering the next time I was in. I think one of the reasons why I'm not head over heals for this place is because every time I've been there, the service was off. Not sure if I just have gone at the wrong time or not. With all the other coffee and bakery shops around, you'd think they would put a huge emphasis on the service. read more

Felt like a Starbucks setting with a nice view of the street for people watching. We tried the Ibarra Mocha which was a Mocha blend from South America with a taste of cinnamon. I had it with fat-free milk, but I should of ignored the extra calories and ordered 2% or whole because it didn't give me the satisfaction I usually get from a Mocha. My mom had a raspberry mocha with whole milk that was real smooth, but would had liked more of a coffee taste. The foam top was a nice presentation served in a paper cup with swinging monkies. I ordered two 12oz iced mochas which came out to $6.50. The coffee was great, but the price was fairly steep for what it was. I also found it strange that the barista didn't put lids on the coffee. I actually had to ask for them, and was pointed to a counter with lids and straws. The counter want the cleanest, which surprised me because the place was empty. I won't be returning because of the price of the coffee, lack of cleanliness and service. read more

Downtown Bend on July 4th included the annual Pet Parade and a stop for a great drink from Bellataza. When we arrived, the line was out the door and from the looks of it we thought we had a long wait on our hands. Thanks to the great crew of baristas working that day, their order and delivery system and awesome energy, we had a very short wait and were back on the sidewalk within about 7 minutes, drinks in hand. The line continued for over an hour, but as we stood outside we saw it also continue to move quickly for everyone. Great job Bellataza on a crazy day. We'll be back! read more

I've been to Bellatazza regularly over the years and they never cease to satisfy my coffee wishes. From traditional espresso drinks with gorgeous latte art, to local chocolate for a mocha, or a seasonal drink- I'm always happy! The service is great and and their pastries are fresh every morning! With all the coffee options in Bend this is always my go to spot, great location, consistent, delicious and very fairly priced. No other place beats Bellatazza! read more

Bellatazza is one of the oldest local roasters in town. The owner is very approachable and the staff seem very happy to be working for him. Don't be fooled by the tourist vibe, this is bonafide coffee with a great story behind it. I hear they are due for a remodel, looking forward to the new look! read more

I have been here a bunch and everyone's always friendly and helpful, the coffee and tea is amazing, the food/pastry is really delicious, and overall this place is just a classy place to hang out. It deserves the front-and-center location it has in classy downtown Bend. Also, I happen to know the owner personally travels to central America, Guatemala specifically, and buys coffee right from the locals there. How cool is that? read more

She always delivers a great product and with a smile. I make at least two trips per year to SR and have come to appreciate her hard work, good attitude all with the perfect drink. Bellatazza, a beautiful set coffee shop in the heart of downtown Bend. I ordered a simple 12 oz drip coffee and enjoyed the large amount of natural light that filled the place. 2 years ago I discovered this shop while visiting from Seattle. I loved it. The taste was great and the atmosphere was good. I just left Bend a couple days ago feeling less than good about my overall visit. It seems way snobbier than I ever remembered. My experience at this coffee shop was horrible. The girl who waited on me gave me such attitude, and clearly hated her job. I have never had such bad customer service over a cup of coffee! Booo girl who was super rude! read more

I just had the worst customer service in Bend. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, from a nice young man and an middle aged woman. Both were at the register. I went to the end of the bar to wait. I waited and waited, and I was with a friend so I wasn't impatient, but we were there long enough for the middle-aged woman and a middle-aged man (the owner?), to ask me what we were waiting for. I said the breakfast sandwich, which the woman responded with a blank stare. When I reminded her that we spoke at the counter, she said, "I just SPOKE to you about it, you didn't order it from me". So I looked over the counter and said to the boy, " The breakfast sandwich? I ordered it and I paid for it, did you put it in the oven?" He replied, "No, I didn't". The woman and the owner(?) laughed, "Ha, Ha, no worries, no worries, he'll do it now". I said, "Ok", but I felt that I should communicate to them that the service was bad and I wouldn't be coming back. My friend and I both thought their laughter was inappropriate, and no one said "I'm sorry." So I communicated. Calmly. The owner came from around the counter to escort me out. Not have a conversation, not to get some feedback, but to tell me that he's been doing this for 25 years, and the boy is only 15, it's his first job, I was rude, it's his first job, he repeated, and if I came back he'd call the police that I was trespassing. Really. I am 63 years of age, and my friend is 17. I am 5'3" and 100 lbs. My friend was taken aback and couldn't see why the owner got so aggressive. Then when I opened the sandwich there was a hair floating off it. I swear. I took a deep breath and braved going back to return the food and ask for my money. Which the owner returned. That's the only good news in this experience. read more
