The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

It definitely gave me hope for the more meat-heavy pizza options that I tend to prefer.

The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.

They have an open kitchen concept and staff were super friendly. However, we waited quite a long time for our food. After getting the pizza the staff were so nice to also give us some ice water. I think I'd give the pizza itself a 3/5 mostly because it was very salty and greasy. However, I did enjoy that there were lots of pineapples on the pizza along with the crispy crust. Having the pizza the next day cold was also okay. When I arrived around 10pm on a Sunday night, the place looked like it was in transition to closing (chairs flipped over on tables, no patrons, staff members watching TV in empty booths). However, I was welcomed in to order by the friendly woman at the counter. She answered a few of my questions and when I asked what her favorite was, she immediately said, "Buckeye Garlic Pizza." I took her advice and was also able to add up to three toppings at no additional charge (mushroom, olive and sausage). I took a seat and waited about 10 minutes for my personal 10" pie, which came out hot and with a friendly, "Thank You, Sweetie." I ran the pie back to my hotel and opened up the box. The pie looked amazing. Perfectly crispy outer crust, six cheeses and garlic, along with my toppings. The pie was pretty damn good, with steam coming off the top. The six-cheese blend was interesting, with the dominant flavors being American and Cheddar. The sausage, olives and mushrooms were all fresh and plentiful. Definitely a good option to satisfy my hunger for a late night pizza in Downtown Columbus.

We started with the Parmesan breadsticks and got both the garlic butter and pizza sauce for dipping. I took one bite with the pizza sauce and immediately thought, "Yep. THAT'S IT." HOWEVER...the breadsticks with the garlic butter?! Some of the best I've had. Seriously delicious. So this time I decided to avoid the red sauce altogether and ordered the chicken pesto pizza. And THAT was the move! It was fantastic. The crust was perfect, the toppings were delicious and plentiful, and the pesto worked so much better for me. My daughter devoured her BBQ chicken pizza, my sister thoroughly enjoyed her six cheese, and those breadsticks were so good that I ordered another batch to take home. The pies here come fully loaded, like they were built by an overachieving Italian grandma who refuses to accept "light toppings" as a concept. I grabbed a Supreme and a Carnivore, because balance is important--veggies for the soul, meats for the heart (and cholesterol). Both were cooked perfectly: crisp crust, cheesy layers of happiness, and toppings stacked so high they needed their own building permit. Bonus points for serving up brews that didn't taste like they were filtered through regret. Took the pies home and--no surprise--they were a hit.
