I was tired picking up my photo order after work and her positive energy and natural tendency to just help make my day better stood out as one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I will always print my photos at Walgreens as long as Carrie is working there.

I have been in Retail Customer Service for over 20 yrs and how the employees acted was not what I call good customer service. I went in to 1st get prints for my mom's 70th birthday party. The older guy in blue pointed to a kiosk, when I asked about them making prints with an online discount, he said the sale price would come up on the screen. I muddled my way through the scanner, etc standing up trying to ask for assistance(which printing was his job anyway) and he just said 8×10 look blurry with that small of a picture used. I submitted what I thought was correct, took a picture of the screen with order number and waited the 30 mins until ready by shopping the store. I picked up items from lots of depts, with no other associate asking if I needed help. Then I approached a worker to ask if they had a certain product and standing a short distance away, she didn't even acknowledge me, she just spent more time chatting about her personal life to a co-worker down the isle. When she finally stopped talking and asked what product I was looking for they didn't have it and I went on. I rounded the corner as she made a snide remark about what I had asked for. Then my prints were wrong and the associate at register seemed put-off that she had to make them the right size. Well if you had done your job in the 1st place, I could've been out quickly and not be upset with a bad experience! I work in shipping and deal with Amazon a lot and hardly ever order from them because they are making physical stores close. But seeing the way this main store, my pharmacy store is run, it is no wonder Amazon is getting the lion share of business these days. While I was in the store, I wasn't the only one they treated like that. I hope Management sees this and tries a pivot before perhaps you may not have jobs...

"Tales of Trails and Tea Houses" April - September, 2022…read moreMy new theme for some of my yelp reviews for this year! My husband and I are planning on exploring a new trail and a new tea house for our monthly dates for the 6 warmer months of this year! :) On June 16th of this year, my husband and I wandered in to Herban Wellness. We felt welcome and attended to. We're impressed that they make their own teas, so the teas here are very unique. They have a lot of one-of-a-kind teas to choose from. They have a great variety of herbs and other natural care products as well. I chose the "Healthy Skin" tea to purchase, and I also picked up some local honey that was made in Maple Valley, WA. The "Healthy Skin" tea tasted interesting - woody, bitter, and earthy. It didn't taste bad at all, but I felt like it was maybe made with health benefits as its primary purpose, and taste maybe was secondary. I would drink it again, but I won't be raving about the flavor. However, the honey was delicious. I also picked up some dried marshmallow root pieces as well, to make marshmallow root tea. I used to visit a different herb place to source my marshmallow root when we lived in Seattle, so it's nice to find this place that is located pretty close to our new house on the East Side. I felt a bit overwhelmed while I was in there, but in a good way. There is a lot to choose from in a somewhat small space, and I kept seeing things that looked really interesting! Visiting this business was a good experience for my husband and I.

Michael didn't hesitate--he unlocked the door, helped me find the right solution, and wouldn't let me pay for it. After dealing with holiday traffic and a long walk from parking, his willingness to help meant a lot. This is the kind of genuine, go-the-extra-mile service that's worth recognizing.

Here's what to know: --The mercantile is an easy walk from Pike Place Market--basically just a few blocks up the hill. --It's beautiful, with exposed brick walls, rambling rooms, and gorgeous displays. --The prices seemed roughly equivalent to what I'm used to paying online, which I really appreciated. --There's a huge selection of spices, teas, herbs, essential oils, gifties, bottles, jars, and other packaging supplies. (If I hadn't been on foot, I would have bought approximately five million jars and bottles.) --Speaking of the packaging supplies: assuming the ones I bought here are the same ones I've been mail-ordering from Mountain Rose for years, they are SO GOOD. Thick amber glass, excellent droppers, nice lids--just noticeably higher quality than most of what you find elsewhere. Highly recommended. --The staff were really helpful and kind, but never hovered while I browsed. Perfect. Can't wait to go back--preferably with a car nearby next time, so I can purchase said 5 million jars.

I swear every time I come in here, I lose all sense of direction and walk out with a bag full of things I absolutely had to have. Today's damage included rainbow and white peppercorns, harissa, za'atar, the holy grail saffron, oh, and some nice-smelling soaps! This place is magical. It smells INCREDIBLE, the selection is amazing, and it's basically impossible to leave empty-handed. If you like spices, herbs, teas, or anything that makes you feel like a cozy lil kitchen witch, this place is heaven! Love it here!

I used to fill all of my prescriptions here but had to transfer them elsewhere because it became too challenging to ever pick them up. Unfortunately I had a prescription accidentally sent to Walgreens Friday evening and attempted to pick it up today, only to find they are closed all day Sunday. I can see having reduced hours, closing at 6pm or something on Sunday but to not open at all? Seems unreasonable to me, people working full time may only have availability on the weekends to pick up prescriptions. This becomes even more maddening if you need the prescription quickly. Luckily the employees at the Evergreen Walgreens were super helpful and managed to transfer my prescription there and will have it filled within the hour. Otherwise I would have been out of luck, as my doctors office is also closed. Another concern is that the parking lot is usually full of people that aren't shopping there, usually homeless people and people doing/selling drugs with drug paraphernalia frequently laying around. This makes me hesitant to even go inside if I'm alone. While I realize the staff shouldn't have to put themselves in danger, they could hire security like they do at QFC on Broadway and Everett Ave to prevent these people from lingering around and making customers nervous. It's been a daily problem for many years and I wouldn't feel safe bringing kids here.
