With that said, there are varying levels of skill at this salon. Just like you would find at any salon. You can pick a specific nail tech of your choosing if you prefer. Cynthia, the owner, is wonderful. It's not easy to run this sort of business but she does a great job and genuinely cares about the customers and her employees. You can tell by the regular laughter floating around the place. I will keep coming to this local salon for a long time to come.

About two minutes later, a woman walks in and thanks her for squeezing in an appointment. Wow. She tells me to go speak to the manager. He asks can I wait because there are three other people ahead of me, I said no I really couldn't and that's why I made an appointment. Very, very disappointing experience. Why let me check in for my appointment but then don't service me? Why was another woman with an appointment serviced before me? Why was there no real solution offered except wait for an undisclosed amount of time? I thought people were friendlier down south but clearly the businesses are not. 0/10.

Before Eden, I went to a different salon that gave me a botched, painful manicure, but I was able to schedule an appointment with Eden for the next morning. They removed the gel tips, were really gentle with my nails, and fitted the new ones with care. I was nervous because I'd never had gel tips before, but I love my nails now. It's been two weeks and they still look perfect. They're comfortable, pretty, and feel good on my fingers. If you're going to get your nails done, get them done here. (I'm bringing my mother-in-law next time!)

The lady I got my pedicure with was WONDERFUL (her name is Karen), and she took her time with my pedicure and the recommendations. When I came back for my manicure though, the young lady who did my nails did kind of rush me through my service and my gel manicure started to chip within two days. I called in and asked for a repair and Ms Karen serviced me upon returning and it's been almost a week and my manicure still looks fresh! I'm so happy with my results. I picked the Lavender pedicure package with $20 gel nail upgraded. $20 is pretty steep considering being from California gel nail upgrades are $10 with any pedicure package. Every sports season I only color my nails my team colors. I went from my SF 49er color to my basketball team the golden state warriors baby!!! The owner did the translation to my nail tech with what I wanted and the owner and I had a really nice conversation he is so friendly. Next time I'm in North Carolina this will be my go to nail salon hands down they do a great job and I love the results of my nails.

We each had an attendant massage our arms and legs and feet, while we sat in very comfortable recliners. The attendants also used hot stones, which felt very nice. For the detox part we were hooked up to a machine and our feet placed in buckets of water for 30 minutes. We both kind of dozed off because we were so relaxed. I think next time I'd skip the detox and do more of the reflexology, and maybe add a pedicure! I wasn't sure what to expect but this was a really nice experience. Soho Nails in Durham will be getting my business for sure! The gentleman who did my feet and toes, did an amazing job and my feet have not felt so smooth and soft on the bottom in a very long time. I have acrylic on my big toes and he did them perfectly as well. My fingernails were done with an acrylic fill in and silver chrome. They turned out so good and I received many compliments.
