Such a great salon!!! Kristen has been doing my hair for almost 6 months now and every time she cuts it or dyes it I ADORE IT. Her color skills are the best I've ever experienced- she's done my hair in a super fun jammy pink and then a dark neon orange and both colors were so bright and vibrant and CONSISTENT!! No patches or parts that weren't as saturated. She also does AMAZING hair cuts. She's changed my hair a few times for more and every cut is super cute and easy to manage. Last tune I went in I asked for a bowl cut and not only did I get distinctly a bowl cut- but a bowl cut that EVERYONE compliments me on- even my straight laced mother. On top of it all, she's super sweet and so willing to work with you. A super kind soul. Fuss & Bother is my new hair salon. I was casting about looking for a new stylist because my person retired from the biz. I tried to get an appointment with Christina Pelech when she was at Rock Paper Scissors, but she was always booked so far in advance, and I just could not wait that long. Christina is the owner and also a stylist at Fuss & Bother, and I was able to book an appointment with her on her second day of being open! I am sure she will soon be always way booked into the future, so I already have it on my google calendar to book an appointment in advance! She asked me what I wanted... and she gave me the haircut I wanted. She listened! The cut is so simple, and yet it is the best haircut I have ever gotten. AND there is easy parking!! read more

What a wonderful salon! Courtney touched up some highlights, and it was such a lovely and fun process - and omg I absolutely adore them! She really took my request to heart, listened, and was helpful in her suggestions. The other stylists there all seemed incredibly friendly, with clients who all seemed like regulars. The salon itself is beautiful. Simple, clean. Mostly (if not all?) Aveda products, which is a nice touch since the company prides itself on wellness and quality ingredients. You wanna talk about color? Then Jill is your gurrrl! Her eye for exceptional color is on point! I have curly hair and no one can ever seem to cut it right. I've even tried the Diva cut. Overrated! Jill has cut my curly locks and I LOVED it! She listened to what I wanted and infused her expertise into one of the best haircuts that I have ever received. I even recommended her to my husband who is very picky with his haircuts. Sure enough...Jill delivered. He loved his cut! I don't Fuss or Bother with my hair anymore...thanks to Jill and this great salon. read more

Guys I seriously just had the most AMAZING HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE this afternoon with Kristen!!! She was super welcoming and easy to talk to; I admittedly had a bunch of demands since I've had bad haircut experiences in the past and I showed her a picture of how I wanted it and she was super receptive to all of my requests. Kristen then proceeded to give me the most incredibly stylin blowout I cannot believe how beautiful it turned out. Super cute atmosphere in an up and coming part of Durham. From what it looked like, a big revitalization is occurring! The stylists were all very friendly and the owner Christina has clearly put her heart and soul into this lovely salon. My stylist, Kayla, listened to what I wanted, gave great advice, and delivered on cut and especially color! I am more than pleased and will go back. I recently moved to Durham and found Courtney. What a find! I would follow her anywhere. I've had long, medium, short and pixie cuts over the years, and she is the best stylist I've ever had. Beautiful salon with fantastic stylists. Love the Aveda products they carry and the super comfortable shampoo sinks. Also, there is a fainting couch so you can lay in repose like a character from your favorite Victorian novel. What more could you ask for? read more
