This is my first time back at this location of your new management. My husband and I came for lunch. Our server, Sarah, was very personable and friendly. We ordered the two pizza slice lunch special. On Sundays, the gourmet pizza is not available but you can order pizza and add toppings to it. It is $.75 per topping per slice. I ordered the two slice special with black olives, garlic, and sausage. My husband ordered the two slice special with bacon, pepperoni garlic. The pizza was delicious and the garlic tasted very fresh. The crust was light and crunchy. The restaurant was nice and chilly, which I like. The bathroom was very clean. Sarah brought our check out in a timely manner. We even observed one of the employees run out to the entrance to open the door for an elderly couple as they were exiting the restaurant. We had a good lunch here, but service was a bit erratic. We'd been to this location before when it was another Italian restaurant. We recognized the location once we entered. The not so good: There was only one server working. Several tables came in after ours. I assume they are regulars as she took their food orders before taking our order. She couldn't remember what we'd ordered either -- wrong soup, wrong entree. And she had to ask a couple times. Obviously she wasn't paying attention to us. And there was a slight delay in my husband getting his slice of pizza. We figured it was because she gave it to another regular. And then he had to wait -- while I already had my lunch. My husband got their soup and pizza slice special. The minestrone was delivered piping hot. He said it was good. His slice of cheese pizza was large. He liked it ("no flop"). I got their chicken Francesca. There were two medallions in a light lemon sauce served over al dente penne pasta. It was fine. I took half home. The lunch menu is extensive. The prices are decent. Because of all the positive reviews on next-door, Paul and I decided to have a Friday night dinner at Bella Trattoria. They are in the process of changing their name to the Sopranos because there is a new owner. In the meantime, we were seated immediately with a reservation And the place was buzzing. Maria was our server, and it turned out that this was her first day working here. I knew she was not a novice because she was too experienced for that. She had been working in Deerfield Beach and wanted to be Closer to home. At first we ordered a half carafe of a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon wine, which was only $15. It was definitely more than two glasses apiece for each of us. Then they brought out a magnificent focaccia bread with a plate of garlic olive oil;, the bread was warm and delicious and very seasoned. I then had a very fresh crisp salad. I went on to order a Bronzino fish with spaghetti. It was a huge, generous portion of fish under a mound of spaghetti and their famous sauce. I took home half of tonight's dinner, and I am very much looking forward to eating it. We couldn't leave without having their Brulé cheesecake which was luscious and decaf cappuccinos. Paul enjoyed a very generous portion of pasta Amatriciana Scallops. They do have a loyalty program. However because of the changeover to new owners, it won't be operational until the next time I probably come in for dinner. I was told to bring this receipt and they will add on the points. We were very happy coming here last night and meeting One of the owners who was definitely schmoozing the customers and helping in any which way he could. Let me go with the positive... the staff was friendly and the store was clean. We had their take out pizza for their lunch specials. I had one piece of Sicilian pizza which was after a few bits I just gave up. There was no sauce, and it was cold (take out should not be this cold). I realized why it was very cold when I saw that the cheese on the inside wasn't even melted. (See photo) They need to handle their oven temperature? If the crust is dark and the cheese isn't melted they need to learn the oven? All of our pepperonis were wet, they didn't get crunchy. They were in the oven like 2 mins. The pesto pizza was good. This place is under new management again. We came at 5:30 on a Friday. I counted 6 people including the two girls behind the counter. We waited 15 minutes before the server came out and said no one told him he had customers, he was busy prepping. There were 3 other customers in the restaurant. I would like to start this by saying I have been going here since it was originally mama Mia's about 3 years ago when I moved to Florida. Absolutely excellent food every time I have been there. However the other day my girlfriend and I order from here and found a nail/screw in our food. We brought it back and got a refund however were told the owner would reach out to us to get more info since then we haven't heard anything. Accidents do happen but this could have ended very badly for us both. Hopefully the team over there can keep a better eye on the food they are serving. read more

The food at Bella Trattoria is quite good and with excellent service. We've tried many of the available entrees including pizza and so far have been pleased with everything we've tried. Entrees come with soup or house salad and a side dish. Portions are very generous overall. P A plate sharing charge of $10 gets you a salad or soup plus an extra side. And it seems like you get an extra piece of chicken as well. The soups are delicious - minestrone or pasta fagiole. We typically only have room to eat half of the soup and take the rest home. Almost forgot about the garlic "knots" that they bring to the table when you sit down. You can get the rolls plain or with garlic or "half and half." The service is extraordinary! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Chris has been our sever on most every visit. He's the perfect example of what a server should be - attentive but never overbearing. Give this place a try. New Owners, New Vibe! We were welcomed at the door by the owner/ new manager, who truly is the star of the service here. The pizza is better than ever -- thin, crunchy, and topped with a perfectly balanced sauce (not too sweet!). I also ordered the chicken piccata, which was surprisingly delicious for a pizza joint. Easter catering got a few dishes but baked ziti was inedible tasted like sour cheese or something... chalked it up, and didn't think about much when we ordered pizza last night. New management seemed intensely disorganized and harsh with some elderly customers. Picked up pizza for the family. We all ate pizza, 5/6 of us are sick, cramping and having frequent trips to bathroom. FROM PIZZA.... We'll never spend another dime here. DISASTER is the only way to describe our dinner last night with our granddaughters. One of them loves fettuccine alfredo and is an afficionado. In Palm Beach County most of the Italian restaurants have yummy fettuccine alfredo. We have eaten at Bella Trattoria several times before and the food was always good. We selected it because Yelp said it had great fettuccine alfredo. We had a 6:30 reservation, were seated about 6:25. Beverage service and salads were prompt. We waited almost an hour for the entrees. One of us ordered a medium pizza which arrived before the entrees. The entrees were not up to any reasonable standard. 1. The Eggplant Bella was only lukewarm. After we asked for it to be heated, it returned with an extra layer of melted mozzarella and was hot on the outside but still lukewarm on the inside. 2. One of us ordered the Blackened Mahi special. A single piece of what appeared to be salmon arrived alone on a plate. When asked where the rest of the platter was, the server said that was it. It was eventually replaced with the Blackened Mahi special which came with broccoli and risotto. It was fine. 3. Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and grilled chicken bore little relation to the creamy alfredo sauce that is the hallmark of this dish. My granddaughter compared it unfavorably to an entree from Olive Garden. I tasted it and struggled to taste any cream. 4. The pizza was fine. The person who appeared to be the manager in charge asked us about our food after it finally arrived. We told him that the fettuccine alfredo was not good. They took the plate away and did not charge us for the dish. He didn't ask us if there was anything else they could bring. Our server asked and the manager refused to give additional compensation. Our server gave us a slice of chocolate cake to take home because she felt bad about our experience. (The cake was delicious but hardly made up for our experience.) With the plethora of good to exceptional Italian restaurants within a 5 mile radius, we suggest you find another Italian restaurant. read more

Just had the pizza lunch special at Bella Trattoria. Best pizza I've had south of Arthur Avenue. Maybe even better. Two HUGE slices and a bottomless fountain drink. $8.99. Great, friendly service and the new owner came around to every table to welcome and chat. The store is in the same shopping center as Flakowitz. The space used to be Mamma Express. We have been going up to this restaurant every Friday night for 10 years.... It has changed owners over the years. We go every Friday night. We have new owners again! Woohoo!! There's a huge change and vibe to this establishment. Eventually, this restaurant will be known as The Sopranos !!! The new owners are so welcoming! They greet everyone and they come to the tables throughout the service. It's such a change. It's wonderful how special they make you feel. It's like dining at home. It's fantastic also that several of the original servers and helpers still remain. Rosa is the backbone of the restaurant. She's been there for years. We look forward to her welcoming smile. I cannot rate the restaurant because we had our food delivered, but I can rate the food. If you like a crispy crust on your pizza, I do not recommend this place. I'm upset once again that I tried ordering on DD but the software sucked and couldn't customize orders or add specific instructions. That said I just ordered on the phone (my usual order) rigatoni w chicken and broccoli. I get it w no sun dried tomatoes. A little extra sauce. A salad, no bread. I was told 25 min. Anyway I got there and there's no order to be found. I stopped outside to wait in my car after paying $27 for the dish. Went back inside to pickup and was told there was no broccoli. Instead spinach or peas. I chose both. Get it home, it's dry af, sun-dried tomatoes galore and chicken that tasted like Purdue grilled breasts. (I know I work in a restaurant). I try to give people a break. Maybe a bad day etc. however, no one, not one manage or "individual in charge " approached me for an apology, a genuine heartfelt one which would have been fine. No dessert on the house (waited another 15-20 longer than they said when I first called in). I don't ask EVER for free anything but as a manager I felt this warranted a t the very least an apology. I'm a long time customer of Mama Mia's West Boynton & I must say new ownership (& a name change) has brought new love into the food and environment. The staff has been overly welcoming and accommodating, the restaurant has been cleaner than ever, and the food has been much more flavorful. My to go chicken fiorentina last night was so juicy and tender it fell apart in my mouth. I couldn't wait to finish my leftovers for lunch. Shelly and Rosa are as sweet as their personality. Both ladies are so cheerful and so welcoming to the restaurant. They move fastly and quickly in a very good pace.
