I didn't know they had a location here but I learned through their yelp event. I came on my own and I'm not part of the event. Food was good and similar to the other location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is different as it's not nearly as busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza was good and it's a sour dough so it's a bit better than regular dough. Not gluten free but a good choice for gluten sensitive tummies. Worth a stop if you're driving through the area or at Bethesda hospital. It's not too far.

The sourdough crust really makes a difference. All the flavor without the heavy feeling after eating a small pie. The pepperoni itself tasted amazing. When we mentioned how flavorful it was, the waitress went to the back to find out and let us know the name of the supplier. They are proud of the ingredients they use and they should be as it is reflected in the flavor of the pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Modern interior. Nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can see the guys making your pizza fresh.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would say slightly elevated pricing compared to other places. Will def come back to try some other pies.

Language not needed - pizza already speaks for itself :)

Food excellent. Service perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cute restaurant with great pizza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the host Jaden, to our kind waitress Zureli and the manager Jacob who checked in on us, everything was perfect! The only thing that was a take away was the language on the menu, describing the pizza dough as "f*cking delicious". Yes, this statement is accurate but not needed...it takes away from the awesome experience. Additionally, there were kids in the restaurant and I wouldn't want to encourage that language for their eyes to see. Even though I don't agree with the language I wouldn't take away a star, because everything else was perfect! The pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted! And I will come back again. I thank this restaurant for their great service and truly delicious pizza!

This a great place if you're looking for a unique twist on pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location for small gatherings as there is not much room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I say just ask the staff their top picks, you can't go wrong. The staff is very attentive friendly and fast. Don't skip out on the wings either, the dip that comes with it is very fresh and pairs well.

We're going to start off with the service here. I think this is probably the best service we've had pretty much anywhere. Zureli the hostess was wonderful. It was our first time here and we tried the pistachio pizza and the pepperoni onion. Both were very very good. Will definitely be back.

This review is all personal preference. We were pretty excited to finally get to try this pizza restaurant. This restaurant is very close to our home and we have tried most of the pizza restaurants around the area (Mr. 01, cucina Moderna, blaze, Sal's and Anthony's). How ya Doughin and Anthony's was by far our least favorite, may be it's because the charred or burnt crust makes it bitter. Now, we did take out and didn't dine in so we couldn't tell how the service was but the lady (I think she might have been the manager) took our to go order and explained everything and helped us picked some of the pizzas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looks very inviting and somewhat small but cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was one other table sitting when I placed the order. We ordered one 12in cheese pizza, one 16in drunken ball (meatball ala vodka) pizza and a beet salad. The pizzas she did pointed out that the doughs are sourdough and made a little bit with burnt crust. The smaller cheese pizza I ordered less burnt and still my daughter didn't like the flavor (she did say Mr. 01 is much better and less greasy). The drunken ball pizza was regular and was pretty charred and a bit too bitter for our taste. The beet salad was great!! Plenty of beets and flavor was delightful and fresh!! Only one complaint about the drunken pizza was we ordered 16in and supposed to be cut into 6 or 8 slice cuts (couldn't remember but pizza that big should be 8) anyway, when we got home it was 6 irregularly cut slices (meaning 2 tiny slice, 2 medium sized slices and 2 super huge slices) I thought I was pretty funny. But anyway, if they're charging this price for pizzas, they should pay more attention to all detail aspects of the product being put out! Total for 3 items was $76! Our first experience at How Ya Doughin was just mid and could have been much better but was glad that we finally tried it.

Love that I found this spot! Delicious brick oven pizza. The dough was chewy and toppings superb! Yum!

I love this place. Fire Oven is unique. They also have specials, which I didn't know. We went for pizza, but they had a buy one get one meatball dinner, so we go that and 2 pizzas to take home. Both DELICIOUS. Very unique--I love the crust. Their spicy pizzas are REALLY SPICY (which I like) but know what you're getting. You can get your pizza anyway you like it but they have some special ones too. Highly recommend

The food was average to me. Nothing to write home about. Definitely more seasoning should be added and the wings were undercooked as well. When I bit into one it was still pink on the inside. I like that they change their menu monthly and offer new varieties of pizza to try'. We had a short wait and we had to ask our waiter to bring our utensils to us twice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty small in here though so you're seated very close to other customers and can heat their conversations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would give them another try though just to see what variety of pizza will be available for the following month.

We made an impromptu stop here to get our pizza fix last night. On the drive home, we saw How Ya Dough'n and said why not?! There was a small crowd and we were seated right away when we walked in. The cheese and vodka pizzas were ordered. I mentioned to the waitress if we could do half and half on one pizza since the kids didn't want what the parents wanted...lol. It was stated it couldn't since one of them had no sauce and the other did. I mentioned it was alright and didn't think anything else about it. We were surprised when the staff surprised us with a meatball appetizer and cheesy garlic bread on the house. The staff overheard me asking about making the pizzas half and half. They were sorry they couldn't accommodate our request. Everything was delicious! The meatballs, bread, and pizzas were great. The staff was excellent with making sure we were happy with our food. There wasn't a long wait for the food and the friendly service didn't go unnoticed. Thanks for a nice dinner!

Sooo happy to finally have a good pizza spot close to home. I've been here a handful of times now to either eat in or pick up and all of the pizzas no matter what I've tried, have been consistently excellent. The dry rub wings are also top notch. I've also had their beet salad on occasion, which is unique and refreshing. Nice casual date night or week night choice, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice to order a bunch of pizzas to watch Sunday night football unless you want to rack up the bill..pizzas are a little pricy. But they don't disappoint!

Came on Friday at 11:30 am for some pizza. This is located in a new strip mall but very few stores are open to date. Slices are not sold. You must buy the 4 or 6 slice pies. Salads and various sandwiches as well as wings and meatballs are options too. Venue is decorated in industrial style and very clean. Single bathroom is very cute. Parking is easy in plaza lot. We had the OG pizza. We found it a bit too salty but they said it was because the mozzarella cheese is purchased locally and fresh and sometimes it comes that way. But it was delicious regardless and hit the spot. We will come back again.

Ask the Community - How Ya Dough'n Pizza

    Do you sell slices?

No. They only sell pies no slices. Either a small pie or larger pie.

Do you have cauliflower pizza crust?

No, but they use a sourdough based crust which is healthier than regular pizza dough. It's a bit more tolerable to those with gluten sensitive diets but not for celiac disease.

Do they serve beer and wine?

    Yes we dough

I'm not a big fan of Chicago-style pizza, so I was never particularly tempted to stop. But after hearing some rumblings about their award-winning wings, I finally decided to pull over as I approached one evening... and I'm so glad I did. I wasn't expecting what I found when I walked in solo around 8:30 PM. A table of eight old-timers was finishing their meal and having a great time, a young couple sat at another table... all in this small room where time seems to stand still. As I looked around at the Chicago memorabilia, Wrigley references, wing awards, tons of old Illinois license plates... I was already hooked. I ordered their award-winning wings and, yes, they were very good (8.5). Of course, I also had to try some pizza, so I went with a small Thin Crust Chicago Pepperoni Pizza (8.0). It reminded me of a bar pizza, cut into small squares with plenty of good pepperoni. It's not my favorite style of pizza, but I have to admit... it was very tasty and surprisingly hard to stop eating. "Just one more... they're small." Since I'd ordered way too much food, most of it came home with me. Both the wings and pizza heated up beautifully the next day. Service from my waitress was fantastic... personable, friendly, and efficient. The two chefs working that evening also had a great attitude. Things quieted down after the large group left, but there was a steady stream of pickup orders from what were obviously regulars. There's clearly a loyal following here... and with good reason. Count me in. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

He ordered the Pauly D pizza and it was as good as Buddy's pizza in Michigan. Thick crispy crust was delicious. I ordered a chicken pita sandwich with no tomato and no cheese (normally has American cheese and Swiss cheese). A massive sandwich was placed in front of me - it could not even be folded into a wrap size. I started to eat from the top and was about 1/3 of the way done when I noticed it had cheese still (which I cannot eat due to extreme dairy sensitivity). I went back to the counter and asked if I could get a different kits without cheese. The owner was at the counter and immediately took the sandwich from me and had the chef remake it. I was a bit surprised that it was going to be remade when a new pita would have made me happy. Well I got a new meal and dig in again.
