This was a very good lunch experience here. The restaurant is small with booths along the side of the walls and tables in the middle. There are quite a few well-priced lunch specials offered including pizza and other Italian specialties should you wish a larger lunch. I chose their pizza and salad. And my husband had a half sub and salad. Each lunch special included a fountain soda, as well. Our salads came out first. The bowls were huge. He had a Caesar salad and especially liked their house made dressing. My house salad had lots of cucumbers and tomatoes in it along with romaine, and black olives. The dressing was a very good balsamic vinaigrette. For his half sub sandwich, he chose their veal parmesan. The half sub was large, and he wound up taking half home for a later meal. The veal was lightly breaded, topped with cheese, along with tomato sauce on a nice crispy sub roll. My pizza slice was thin and crispy. Both food selections were served piping hot fresh out of the oven. We'd definitely return for another of their lunch specials.

Lunch stop here today and we considered the Specials listed on the Sandwich Board stationed in front. The Half sub and salad with a fountain drink caught my eye. Nice Inside, we sat at one of the side booths. Server gave us menus and took our beverage orders. I chose the half sub and salad, Hot Veal Parmigiana and Caesar Salad. Our food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious! The Caesar dressing was quite tasty and the sub was wonderful! Great Food. Great Price.

So I was recently in a strip mall with my significant other near where we live when we came across a place called Rudi's Pizza. As I am wont to do, I fired up the Yelp app to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Rudi's had a 4.7 out of 5-star review. Is it possible we had found a local pizza gem? Alas, it was not to be, but I am getting ahead of myself. We were very excited and decided to come back the following weekend and try it. The following Saturday I called Rudi's when they opened at 11 am and ordered an extra-large (18 inches) Margarita Pizza for pickup. The price was on the expensive end at $28 especially for a pizza without any meat on it but I was willing to pay the price to try a new place. We were told to come in in about 30 minutes to pick the pizza up. We arrived about 30 minutes later. The outside of Rudi's looks like a typical strip mall pizza joint. The inside was also fine with some booths and tables but nothing to really differentiate from most other small pizza places. We went up to the counter and our pizza was waiting for us. I went ahead and paid for the pizza. One side comment - the POS device automatically suggests different tip levels going up to 30%. To not pay a tip you actively have to hit the "no tip" option. I am a very good tipper, but I balk paying for a tip on pickup for a pizza that is already $28. So we took the pizza home. It was hot and smelled great and we couldn't wait to try it. Me and the fiancé each tried a slice of the pizza. The first thing I noticed is that it was really greasy. I am not a fan when a pizza appears to be drenched in grease. I also noticed there was a lot of garlic on the pizza. I like garlic but not to excess. Honestly, the pizza was okay but nothing special. It was not particularly tasty. The crust was decent but again nothing to write home about. I think the pizza you can get at Costco is just as good and for less than half the price. I would say the pizza was above average and would merit 3.5 out of 5 stars. However, since we can't give half star reviews I either have to round down to 3 or up to 4 stars. In cases like this, I look at other factors. The location and interior of Rudi's were very average so that really doesn't add anything. We didn't stay there to eat so I cannot comment on the customer service. The only other factor I can use is the price. Even in today's day and age, $28 is expensive for a pizza that only has cheese, some tomatoes and a sprinkling of basil on it. Therefore, because of the high price, I am rounding down the overall review for Rudi's to 3 stars. In my opinion, Rudi's rates an overall 3 out of 5 stars. Rudi's was fine as far as pizza places go but it is similar to many other middle-of-the-road pizza places out there. If I really needed to have a pizza in short order, I might consider going back, but I am more likely to go get a slice at the nearby Costco.

Not a bad first visit. Meatball was really good! Lightly packed, not a dense rock, not overly garlicky or overly salted. One of the best meatballs I have had out in awhile. I will go back for this. Pizza was fine, needs more sauce, why is dry pizza a thing down here? Crust was tasty as were the sausag and peppers toppings. I'll go back for this too but definitely get extra sauce.

This is my second time eating at Rudi's Pizza. The first time I had there lemon pepper wings and this time, we got the mild Buffalo sauce wings with a side of lemon pepper sauce, Italian sub combo, and French fries. For the wings, the sauce is good, but the chicken isn't as seasoned so only getting lemon pepper sauce wings fell a little flat. Getting mild Buffalo sauce wings with the Lon pepper sauce on the side as a dip or dressing was delicious. It was a great blend of flavors. The Italian sub was good (I was so hungry I couldn't take a picture before eating it). It had ham, pepperoni, and salami (I think) with provolone cheese, lettuce, and oil & vinegar. It's light weight and doesn't leave you bogged down after eating. The French fries were golden and had the right amount of crisp. And they included ketchup (most places won't even put ketchup packets in to-go orders). Overall, 10/10. Maybe I'll order a pizza next time. Definitely recommend!

It was hot AF so we walked in with every intention of a cold beer and in the cold AC, but sadly the noise level from multiple tables even surpassed the music coming from the bar and we were forced to seek respite outside under the chickee. The hive is apparently dog friendly and judging by the party with a laundry basket full of yapping , they don't care much if your dogs are well behaved or not. The food was passable, though barely. Onion rings and chicken wings were both crispy, but, ordering the wings 'medium' found them sitting in a barely pink spice free ooze. Fried fish fingers were perfectly cooked but the choice of Basa as a fish tells you all you need to know about the ingredient quality here, which is doubly surprising given how expensive this menu is for the offerings... Blackened chicken nachos tasted like someone poured the frozen bag of chicken right into the plate for heating. The unripe tomato & corn salsa wasn't even enough to bring these things up to par and we left 3/4 on the plate. Beer was cold but service was so slow as to be non existent, and when she was present there was no personality at all, meanwhile other tables had constant attention. I had actually heard their desserts are good but after this debacle of a meal we weren't gonna risk it...

Although steak definitely makes sense with a wood fire concept, instead we tried the lamb rack served with a mint sauce combo that has you cleaning the plate and local pompano served curry lite with wild mushroom (delish)! If you are a foodie make your way here. This was a spot where one (or is it just me) considers maybe we order everything to try? And we left the fun for another time. I have my eye on their spiced lamb bolognese and another amazing cocktail. The cocktails are mostly milk fat clarified which adds yet another fun twist to a new fav spot! Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails.
