I came in with dry, tangled, unruly curly hair and I left with a beautiful cut, layers and a stunning blowout! I have very thick long hair and Kenya was able to blow it out with ease!!! FYI - All the good reviews below are NOT for Bella Red Salon, they are ALL from when the salon was Salon Mogano. Do not waste your time here (or the Bonney lake one either, I I can't speak to the federal way one since I didn't deal with them). Absolute worst experienceS (yes plural) with this company. Didn't realize Salon Mogano changed to Bella Red, so came in to get my usual roots touched up (pretty simple ask, just match my current hair color). The stylist had me wait for 30 minutes past my appointment, then double booked me with someone else so she would half do parts of my hair and have her assistant do parts of my hair. I tried to be understanding but then when she dried my hair I noticed the roots did not look right, she said it was the lighting in the salon. I went home and my roots were a light red (I'm a dark brunette) it looked awful. I did not feel comfortable going back to the same stylist to fix, when it was such a bad experience. So, they scheduled me with someone at Bonney lake. Less than an hour before my appointment, while I'm on my way, I notice an email telling me the stylist called out... I call the manager and he tells me he called me earlier (he absolutely did not call me at all that day and I don't appreciate someone boldly lying to me like that). Given that I've already paid for this botched job I wanted them to fix it. They then could only get me in during the day so I had to take another few hours off work to have them fix this. I go in, wait for another half hour and THIS stylist doesn't show. I'm sure I sound like a Karen right now, I promise I am not but this was hands down the worst experiences I've had with a business on a multitude of fronts. Thank god for Sydney who used to work for Salon Mogano and was available and kind enough to fix this salon's mess. I am truly thankful for SYDNEY. I'm beyond disgusted with this salon and the experiences I've had and unless you want your time and money wasted, as well as a botched hair job, I would not go here. (Unless you can get Sydney). UPDATE TO MANAGER: I can show you screenshots that you did not call me and I also wrote on my review and told the stylist that the color didn't seem right and was told it was the salon's lighting. Very disappointed after my second appointment at Mogano Salon for my hair treatment . I choose Brazilian Blowout hair treatment to eliminate frizz and for straighting hair. This treatment is supposed to stay on ur hair for at-least 3 months but Brazilian Blowout done from Magano Salon didn't lasted even 2 weeks. Time and money spent is not worth spending. This is the best salon I have ever been to! I refuse to get my hair done from any where else besides Mogano! Everything from the hair service, the great prices, the staff, the vibes are amazing. I usually get my hair done by Carla or Sydney (the owner) who are the sweetest and most amazing stylist. I always feel like I'm talking to a friend whenever I'm getting my hair done. They are so efficient and you don't have to spend hours at the salon especially for something that should be a quick service. They use the best products and sell them in the front. The products are affordable and they never force you to buy any products like most salons. The overall vibe of the salon is so Instagram worthy. The best part is they started doing permanent bracelets! All the chains (they have so many to choose from) were very affordable and the process was so quick! It's located in an great safe shopping plaza with plenty of parking. I don't leave many 5 star Yelp reviews but Mogano is definitely a 5 star salon. Initially I went in for extensions in 2018 and had them done by Katelyn. She did an absolutely beautiful job putting them in and color matching them. She is also super nice and easy to talk to while getting your hair done. I went back on December 30th this year to get my hair cut because I hadn't gotten a cut since I last saw her. I was pleased to see she had remembered me! Again she did a killer job with cutting my hair and making my super heavy head of hair light and manageable all while not taking off too much length. The salon also has great front desk gals they are always extremely sweet. Definitely worth the 50 minute drive from my house. read more

I had the most amazing experience at Mogano this morning and am in love with how my style turned out! I saw Kaycee for a haircut and even though my timing was bad and I was a few minutes late, she was incredibly understanding and gracious in starting our appointment. By communicating to her what my hair goals were, she took what I had said and discussed what would work best for my hair, I felt heard and trusted that her styling would prove great results. All throughout the treatment she provided tips for styling, recommendations for hair care, and was incredibly kind to speak to. Not only was my cut amazing, but the amenities and atmosphere at Mogano is incredible. It's been a little under a month since I got my hair done by Carla , I wanted to try and give it a chance first before I did a review. I did look up the salon reviews and all the stylists instagrams before I went in. I went in with hair down to my very lower back had previous color on it from 2 years ago and went in with inspiration pictures. I wanted my hair to about my chest (about 12 in cut off) with long layers and curtain bangs all in a nice dark chocolate balayage. First chop she did I knew I was already going to hate it. It ended up being almost 20 in chopped off so my hair was almost shoulder length. Also she was tugging on my head and hair so much I honestly was tearing up but I'm not the kind to say anything so I just endured it. She then bleached my hair and later added the gloss. She finished the cut ( didn't do curtain bangs instead did "face framing" ) finished styling and at first I was like woah I like it and told her but also mentioned that it was cut shorter than I wanted it to be. Did some after pictures and was done. 300 something for the whole thing. Got home and really got looking at it didn't like it went ti Ulta and Salys to try and get something to cover it up. I had really just ugly lines in all the hair under the top half of my head. The color was fading fast even though I don't wash my hair everyday use color safe shampoo that I bought at salon and rinse with cold water. Left side front pieces were longer than right side as well. Unfortunately my sister got her hair done by Carla as well and hated it from the beginning as well. I will post her pictures when she sends them to me. Also has the same weird harsh lines and didn't get the color she wanted her, hair is now super blonde which she did not want . Absolutely disappointed. Hadn't gotten my hair done in 2 years because "depressed" finally had the courage to do it and was excited for it to be healthy and make me feel more confident in myself but instead now I'm more depressed because I wish I would have gone somewhere else. Absolutely LOVE this salon! Had an amazing first experience!! receptionist offered me water, coffee and tea, not to mention how nice the entire staff is! a bonus is the salon is so cute! Haven't had my hair done in 2 years and always feel so nervous! My stylist Carla made me feel SO safe! Constantly asking me if the water was too hot or cold and if she was tugging my hair or if her nails were hurting me (which neither occurred) Trimmed me up and styled me! While my hair stylist was kind and tried to listen to what I want... it turned out awful. I thought that going somewhere so pricey and nice would mean I would be getting what I asked for or at least close but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I wasn't too worried because I thought it could be fixed but because it was so bad I wanted it fixed today or tomorrow but was told they couldn't get me in for 2+ weeks. I am not giving it 2 stars for the service (even though that itself was pretty bad), but the way it was handled. Not only did it waste 3 hours of my day but not a single time did I get an apology over the situation. I was given a full refund thank goodness (hence the 2 stars instead of 1) but now I have to pay over $500 and do 2-3 more sessions with a different salon over the next few months to correct what was done. When it comes to hair stylists, Kayce at Salon Mogano is the greatest! I have never been disappointed in the cuts, colors or wax jobs she's done in the many years I've gone to her. Whenever I want something new, she carefully listens to my ideas, suggests some modifications and makes my hair look even more fabulous than I originally imagined! I even hired Kayce to do my up-do for my wedding and I LOVED how beautiful and unique it was and, best of all, it stayed put for the entire day! I cannot speak enough about how much I love what she does to my hair, especially since she is super reasonable. I guess the word has gotten out, though, as I usually have to book at least 3 months in advance to get an appointment with her. I had my first appointment here about 2-3 weeks ago and got something I'd never done before- an undercut! I was a little nervous as I have very long hair that I've only ever dyed once in my life just because I'm so careful with it. I wanted to try something different and take a little of the weight of my hair off the back of my head. Melissa was amazing! She totally erased any fear I had by the end of the appointment and I was absolutely in love with the end product! She did a design of my choice and it looked and still looks phenomenal. Totally unsatisfactory experience! 3 months ago I take 2 teenage daughters who hair to their butts in for cuts. Once cuts it all off, one gets a normal few inches off. Each cut costs $41. Fine. Today I take daughter #1, who has shorter hair than most boys in her class, in for a trim. The "trim" lasted 50 minutes, much of which was spent trying to style my daughters hair like a 65 year old woman! Then I try to pay for it and leave before I say something rude, and they try to charge me $56?!? For a Trim??? Really??? Anyone else notice that is $15 MORE than we paid to cut nearly all her hair off??? The person at the front desk then tried to justify it by saying she received a higher level of haircut and that every stylist charges differently? Translation: we price-gouge become we think we can. Wrong answer Salon Mogano! Now VERY frustrated I just want to pay and get out. But no..... of course, its this moment that their apple POS card payment system has complately stopped being fuctional..... and of course I had only enough cash to cover a $41 cut, but not a $56 cut. I had my hair done by a really friendly hair stylist (Laura) here during a bumble and bumble event. I was looking forward to returning to see that stylist and I made my appointment. I was forced to reschedule, but in doing so, my appointment was made with another stylist named Linda who I didn't know. Even with that set back, I was willing to try a different stylist since the salon had seemed so great. It's a bit of a drive for me, and the only time they were able to see me was at 4:15pm.The day of my appointment was raining pretty bad, and at 3:30 when I was on my way traffic was horrendous! I called the salon to inform them that I was most likely going to be late due to traffic but I was on my way. The girl Chirssy said, "Okay! that's not a problem!" If she had said anything else I would've turned around instead of continuing my drive. I was stuck in traffic for a good 40 minutes on the 167. By the time I made it to my exit and was making my way up stewart Rd it was 4:30. I was 15 minutes late. The salon called me to say they were cancelling my appointment, even though I was right there turning into the parking lot. I was only going in for a trim! seriously? I was driving for over an hour to get there and they couldn't accommodate me? According to Chrissy over the phone, Linda said she wouldn't see me because I was late. I will never waste my time or gas on this place again. Warning to anyone else, if you call in to say you're going to be late, do NOT believe them when they say it's okay. read more

Elizabeth saved my hair! After a at home bleaching(never again) I was searching for a salon to fix my mistakes. During the consultation with Elizabeth she came up with a plan and committed to keeping my hair healthy while taking where I wanted it. The salon as a whole is beautifully decorated and has the most comfortable shampoo chairs I've ever sat in. I've gone to two appointments, scheduled my third and it's all worth it. My hair is soft, shiny and a great color. They also sell bumble and bumble line that smells great and helps me get the same styling done at home. I've told everyone I know to go and see Elizabeth. I have been seeing Melissa for almost two years now and I can't tell you how amazing she and this Salon are. As a pretty boring dude, it takes a lot to sway me from my time-tested style, but Melissa was encouraging and expert in helping me transition to something new and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the confidence she gave me with my new haircut. She is truly amazing at what she does and even better she walked me through how to style it easily the way she did. She even did amazing cutting my son's hair! Scheduled an appointment with the salon and was called the same day asking if I could move my appointment later. I couldn't, so the receptionist said that it was not a problem and I could keep my scheduled appointment time. On the day of my appointment, I get ANOTHER call saying my stylist had "an emergency" and that I would need to reschedule my appointment for the later time they had wanted me to change it to the day before. My experience with Salon Mogano has been good. Not exceptional, but still good, especially for such a small salon with relatively low prices. Definitely a great alternative to the generic haircut factory across the street. I went to a couple of the stylists here and both of them were super nice and communicated well. The customer service was really good, it was always clean, and the atmosphere was nice. I also dig that they don't push their products too hard. They gave me a free sample at my first haircut and I actually went back and bought a full bottle of it without them having to prod me at all. It was awesome. read more

Decided to give this salon another shot, and I am for sure going to be a regular from now on. I have super thick shoulder length hair. I literally can't do anything with it. It's just a huge mop and I throw it in a ponytail everyday. I went in and talked to my stylist about this issue. I've had issues in the past of stylists asking me why on earth I'd want to thin out my "beautiful thick hair" and that "women would kill for my thick hair." My stylist today immediately knew what to do and thinned out my hair PERFECTLY. I've had it done in the past and it looked like someone took a weed whacker to my head. It looks natural and she added a lot of layers so now I can actually curl my hair again and not throw it in a pony tail everyday. The complimentary massage in the beginning was very unexpected and amazing. Highly recommended! read more

Due to a surgery, I wasn't going to be able to visit my trusted hairdresser of 6 years. I drive very far to see her, so I thought 'these reviews are pretty good, I can give it a try and maybe find a closer hairdresser'. Big mistake. HUGE. I made an appointment weeks in advance and brought in a photo. Having just had shoulder surgery, I also indicated that I would be unable to handle any intricate styling. Needless to say, I am back at my trusted hairdresser who had to fix my hair. I was unable to style it because this was literally the worst haircut I have ever had. My hair was cut way too short, nothing close to the photo and nothing close to what I indicated. I ended up with some sort of 'tail', choppy layers and some sort of shelf. Awful. I selected Jessica based on reviews and the fact that she was listed as a senior stylist. I even sent a message in advance. She apparently had her own idea and didn't care to listen to me or respect my needs as a client. After assessing my hair, several hairdressers were shocked at the disarray that my hair was left in, stating that even the 'basic rules' of cutting hair were not followed. It was a disaster. My hope is that this is not a common experience, as I now have to spend months to re-grow my hair. I do have friends that swear by the stylists at the bottom of the hill. Give them a try. read more

My experience with teigan was great. She was very nice and my hair came out great. I have long thick hair and she knew exactly how to cut it and how not to thin it so much like most stylists do when they see all my hair. This is a fullservce.dalon so,expect to pay more because you get the shampoo conditioner and blow dry at the end.
