Hair Mechanics is super clean, and the staff is awesome (especially Glen!) We now bring our 2 year old son to Glen for his haircuts as well. He does a great job of making sure our son is comfortable, doesn't use clippers/hair dryers on him (they scare him), and gets the job done quickly and efficiently before our son starts to get too squirmy. This was my experience: Called in the day before to make an appointment at 1pm. Owner picked up and confirmed it. I understand English is limited so basic set up was smooth and simple. Came in a few minutes early to check in and he greeted me very sweet and kindly. There was no music when I came and I would usually feel awkward as heck, but because of that I was able to experience a peaceful haircut from immaculate hands. From hanging my coat to seating me down and beginning my haircut, every little detail made me feel like I was being babied by my grandpa. I simply showed him a photo of my haircut from my wedding and he went to work. The way he moved his hands is amazing! It felt like he was caressing my hair with his comb and his old school scissor style had pin point accuracy. Every "snip snip" I heard was full of care. Then he finishes the haircut with a single blade razor with absolute precision. You just feel absolutely safe because you know he knows what he's doing. To top it off, you finish your hair cut with little to no hair on you. He's THAT precise. Overall, this was very therapeutic experience for me. TLDR; If you want a straightforward haircut for $20 (w/out tip) with no worries, this is your man. He gave me the natural fade I wanted, using scissors 90% of the time.
