This is my second time here getting services from root touch up, cut, and highlights. I love how my hair looks and feels. I have issues with getting my grey hair always growing out. Peter is the owner and stylist. He knows color and cut very well. Not only does he focus his attention on his clients, but he multitasks and he jumps between walk in clients while my color was processing. I did see 4 people walk in at one point, and only one had an appointment. So don't forget to grab an appointment if you think you need one. He takes his time and is a professional with his technique and speed. This is not a bougie hair salon with coffee or tea and glamorous decor like a spa day. It's a very come in and get your hair done and go on about your day kind of place. I will say the prices are similar to market prices for color, style and highlights. So be aware it's going to cost you, but i found my stylist and am super happy to be a returning customer. read more

I was recommended by a friend to come here for a balayage. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, or what colors to get I just knew I wanted a variety of light brown hues throughout. #hotgirlsummer (not really) haha. I am so happy with what I got. I had an appt for 10am it finished around 130pm. Peter took the time to make sure the colors took to my hair and my hair feels soft and bouncy, success! My hair is super black naturally so I knew it was going to take time to lift the color to change it. Peter came prepared! He offered me a variety of baked breads from 85° bakery and water. He also made sure I was comfortable and tended to. I cannot say enough how much I love my hair! read more

Service was terrible I called in before I came in and I asked the hairstylist if she knew how to blow-dry and give volume to my hair and she agreed. Once my hair was completely dried, she tried to style it with the curling iron and that's not what I asked for. Truthfully, the hairstylist did not know what she was doing. I believe that this place needs improvement or they need to teach their hairstylist how to do a certain hairstyle. I spent my money and I was disappointed with the service. read more

Peter Hair Salon has been my go-to spot since moving to the area. Specifically Peter himself has been the only one to consistently cut my hair as requested. The only downside is sometimes the stations aren't kept as clean as it could. Pricing is similar to market, currently $25 for a men's haircut. read more

I absolutely love going to Peter's Hair Salon! I'm really precise about how I want my hair and usually don't trust a lot of people with it but Peter does an amazing job and it's really evident in his work! He and his co-worker did an amazing job on me today and were really sweet! I've gone to this salon a few times already and it'll most likely be the only salon I go to from now on in Washington. If you have social anxiety, like me, this is the salon to go to because they make small conversation then leave you alone in comfortable silence. (If you're curious, I got a peekaboo hair-do with more color towards the front as well and a little bit of layering) Overall, it's always a 10/10 experience with Peter and his salon. They have amazing customer service and they really do take care of you. I hope that more people come here to get their hair done :) You won't regret it! read more

I have thick- thin Asian hair, finding someone that can cut it has been a challenge. My hairstylist is about 45 minutes from where I live, so had to find a new one closer to where I live. Came and they were able to squeeze us in as a walk in. I initially came in for just bang trim for my daughter... but decided to do an overall trim and some curls. I got an eyebrow wax too. Overall, the charge was $45. A little spendy and more than I thought it was going to be, but still worth it. The gal was super nice. We will come back! read more

I found this little hair salon a couple weeks ago and decided to try it out! I am so glad I did I went in and showed Peter a picture of what I wanted and That is exactly what he did! It turned out beautiful! His prices are excellent, and he's extremely friendly, and does his best at making you happy with your hair when you leave! He did mine with a dark brown with burgundy highlights. The only thing it was probably my fault is I wanted to make sure it was dark around the frame of my face, and now that I've had a chance to wash it twice I'm hoping I can go down and get him to make it a little bit darker! Other than that, I highly recommend that you try this place out, because you won't go anywhere else afterwards! read more

Walk-in one day for a haircut because I saw it wasn't busy as I drove by and Peter (the new owner) knew what cut would work best for my hair type and face. He did such a good job I decided to book an appt a week out for color as I was hitting the big 4-0 and wanted a nice pick me up during this pandemic. I'm so glad I did because I love my new hair! Let me start off by saying it's perfect for men's haircuts, but not so great with anything else. Went to this salon because it was recommended to me by someone. My hair is long, like middle of my back long. I wanted to have a few layers put in and trim it up to keep the length. They kept the length but the layers are way off, not even, and just looks messy. From the time I got into a chair to the end it took less then 20ish minutes. Not even asking if I wanted any other service, just cut and go. Very disappointed with this salon. Now I got to go pay again at a different place to get it fixed. read more

Peter Hair Salon is a NEW, modern, SUPER CLEAN hair salon that opened just a week ago!! GRAND OPENING SPECIAL!!! All hair services are 40% off right now. Peter's been my hairstylist for the past 8 years and I won't go to anyone else. It's hard to find a stylist that is super experienced with asian hair who can create a trendy and modern style. He's an expert colorist and the best at highlights, balayages, etc. He works his magic on keeping my hair at its best. Peter also is the only stylist my husband will have cut his hair. I can't recommend Peter Hair Salon. Peter is deceptive in his pricing and he's been my hairstylist for over 10 years. His pricing doesn't match his services. You will sit in a chair in between him taking other people for cuts or colors and be there for a total of over 6-7 hours. He takes full advantage of his loyal customers. He is very greedy and doesn't care about quality work. Be very careful when going to his salon. The level of service has gone downhill dramatically. I have followed him to every salon he's been at over the years. Ask what the charge will be first before hopping into the chair. Ensure you know what comes with the service and time it will take. Peter is dishonest and will overcharge you. read more

I had browsed online for a few hair salons and found this one. The owner Peter, gave me a whole new look! As I got to get to know him, I found out he worked at a few salons that my family members have gone to. Peter is amazing. He took his time with me, also treated me to lunch for the long hours I stayed! (4 1/2 hrs) What hairstylist does that?? None that I've known of! My hair is dark brown, thick and was super long, the length to my butt. He gave me a really nice hair cut and beautiful balayage. Peter got my hair as light as he could with no damage and for asian hair, usually the orange brass color comes out and it's harder to get a nice blonde! I'm just so impressed with the results! Peter is a Hair goddess! He's not only AMAZING with haircuts AND color but also confident with what you ask for. He's always been my guy for haircuts and now for my silver hair. He's moved to different salons and silly me I never got his number. Finally he has his own salon. That's speaks out a lot of how great he is. I booked for all over color and later was told it would be a bleaching service instead if I wanted to go lighter. I agreed to all over color and going lighter. So this was fine. I originally had all over hair color that was dark brown with naturally grown out roots (2-3 inches). Then McKenna mentioned she was doing something similar to "balayage" when the other stylist and their client asked what she was doing to my hair. I clearly communicated my preference against highlights multiple times, even questioning the stylist during the process when her technique appeared inconsistent with a solid application. Despite assurances of an all-over color, my hair developed "dimensions" and it was BLONDE with noticeable damage to my hair. I thought she was coloring my roots but she was creating "dimensions". Dimensions is not all over color. Dimensions is "highlights", streaks, and lines that's not all over color. I wanted one solid color and for my black roots to be matching the brown all over color. Does that make sense? Does that mean I want highlights? When I contacted the business via email, the owner responded. We went back and forth few times. She only offered to have McKenna fix it, which I didn't want, and suggested just toning it darker, which I knew wouldn't stop the highlights from reappearing. The salon owner's subsequent offer to explain why "highlights" were necessary, rather than acknowledging the deviation from my original request, further illustrates a misunderstanding of my concerns. This experience represents a critical breakdown in communication and trust, as I was misled about the service being performed and would have sought a different salon. I don't think this salon does lift and color method. Or the owner is protecting the new stylist's mistakes. Regardless, McKenna is busy posting on Instagram. There is a photo of my hair and titles it "Behind the scenes" like it is a proud moment for her to lie to a client rather than reaching out to apologize. She should have been saving my hair from being burnt off other than taking photos at the sink. My hair is burnt off and I'm pretty she noticed it when she was blow drying my hair. She failed to mentioned the blotches and missing hair. I did not even get the deep conditioning treatment that I requested. I did get anything that I requested or wanted! In the end, I have unwanted highlights and less hair than before. My hair color is further away from my intended goal because she ignored everything that I said and gave me brassy highlights. I requested for refund or another stylist at the same location to correct my hair. That's when communication stopped and the owner never responded again. This service totaled $270. Here's the thing. New stylist and seasoned stylists can make mistakes! But the stylist is posting on social media other than apologizing. The business owner doesn't understand why you don't want to be getting your done by the same stylists that did everything other than what you have requested... this is not a good business to support.
