I've been going to this salon for a few years, their work is typically acceptable if you get the right person. However, the good ones always leave; there is never any consistency except for the owners/ managers. I went for a simple service and it was completely botched. The person doing my nails asked me for a cash tip and when I told him I could only do a card he pretty much messed up my nails.. instead of soaking off my full set he ripped them off with a nail and went over them with the machine and placed the new acrylic. I kept asking for shorter and eventually he just ignored me. I am a frequent client here and when I just called to book an appointment to get it fixed the person on the phone proceeded to tell me he doesn't do nails but since I come here so often I already knew who I was speaking to. And when I called you out on it you said "I'll have someone fix it" and refused to schedule and appointment for me. I've been coming here for a year and have tipped so well. This experience left a bad taste.. won't be returning. I would rather go somewhere and pay double for them to fix it. So uncomfortable. read more

Ask for John! The extra stars are for him. He took his time. Love the fact that he did not try to strike up conversations but focused on my nails. My skin is super fragile, it bleeds easily but he was very gentle. Got the best pedi I have ever had and will come back! It feels good paying for good service. For it to be a Saturday walk-in I had to wait but not as long as I would have thought when I first walked in. No one greeting or acknowledged me but eventually someone asked manicure? I responded pedicure, still I waited. When I was escorted to the chair, I had to wait a little longer, again I expected this as it was a Saturday and I didn't have an appointment. When I was serviced the lady was super nice and took really good care of me. As I am in the market for a nail salon close by, I will keep trying new places. Today, my mother took my 85 year old grandfather to get a mani/pedi while my mother only received a mani. The nail tech assisting my mother took soo long, my grandfather was done long before my mother. I've had trouble finding a good nail salon since moving from Atlanta to Milwaukee. I've tried several, and my experiences were just so-so, with the exception of Bella Nails. Since I live nearby I really wanted this place to be my go to salon. I will never go back to this place. Aside from taking nearly two hours for a simple gel manicure, I had to listen to LOUD OBNOXIOUS non- stop chatter (in Vietnamese or Korean) and OBNOXIOUS laughter from the entire salon staff. One young girl was definitely leading the conversations, but you would think the older staff members would tell her to tone it down. I should've just gotten up and walked out, and I really wish I would've. I will never return. read more

After being out of the country and not being able to find a nail salon for 3 weeks I was in need of a fill asap in order to save my acrylic from popping off my nail beds. I was a walk in appointment and I was seated right away. I was impressed with the large selection of nail polish colors. Also the nail technician who gave me my fill seemed to take pride and great care while doing my nails. This is the best fill I have had in a long time and my nails look great. I hate nails that are too think and this fill looks more like my natural nails than artificial nails. I been seeing my regular technician at another business for a little over a year now and the nail tech (Quan) at Bella just might be a contender. We were visiting Milwaukee and wanted to have a mani and pedi done. Visited a few other salons earlier yesterday and they did not have time. Then... we found Bella Nail Salon!!! Walked in... immediately greeted and sat right down in the pedi chairs. Anna and Mimosa treated us like a King & Queen! We got the Luxury Deluxe Pedicure and Manicure and a Luxury it was. I would leave no stars if I could. The older lady there with glasses is VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. If you have cuticles and dry skin she'll make sure to make comments about it while doing your manicure and she'll even show the person next to her and laugh at you. I will never go back especially when I went for my birthday to treat myself and relax. She made me uncomfortable it was not relaxing and she was very aggressive. there's no reason for her to yank on someone's arms because they're not relaxed enough. This place is clean and offers a wide selection of colors. I've gone to this place a total of 4 times. Once a couple years ago and 3 times within the last 6 weeks. I went in early January for a shellac mani/pedi, pedi was okay, mani was horrible, it chipped days later. Then I went somewhere else to get a full set and returned to Bella for a fill. Loved my fill, but the girl was not a people person. She did not engage in any conversation and as soon as she was done she walked away to the back room, she didn't even wait for her tip. I said thank you and she didn't even say you're welcome. Whatever! My nails looked fabulous so that was the upside. I figured she was just having a bad day. I came in today for a fill with the same girl (Kim #3). Didn't greet me, sat me down and asked if I had my color. Gave to her and proceded. I asked if she does designs and showed her what I wanted and she said, "nope I don't do designs." Fine. I said I wanted my polish matted. She put a top coat and said I can go dry them...I reminded her i wanted matte and she had a panic attack. if she was up to date with what's in she would know she can just add the matte coat on top of the regular top coat. Anyways.....she did it and walked away. Didn't even walk me to the area to dry my nails. It's a shame, because she does a really good job but her poor attitude and lack of customer service just made her lose a customer. I will never go back! read more

This place used to be really good. I just received another HORRIBLE pedicure today from an older lady (I believe she is the owners mother). She starting filing my toenails super rough and didn't give them a shape, I also have lines in my toenail polish. My dip manicure was decent and they aren't too expensive, however the older lady should just retire. She does a horrible job and I've had her do a pedicure numerous times over the past few years. read more

I usually come here if I don't have another alternative or have little time. I have to say, I have never had to wait here and they take walk-ins without a problem. However, every time I get a pedicure, they always cheat me out of a massage. It lasts maybe 10 seconds per foot. The employees are nice but sometimes they struggle to understand what you want. Their no-chip doesn't last long, maybe 3 days? Also, I had a manicure done there and it was strange that the technician put lotion on my hands and then asked me to wash them. I don't know about you but I don't take a shower after putting lotion on. It's okay to go here when time is short but I wouldn't be a regular here. read more

I give this place a ZERO star rating. The scrubber for my foot fell on the floor and the lady picked it up and continued. Also they have the worker in the next seat using the exact same scrub brush on a different client. that is putting my feet cells on another individuals foot. That same employee continued to wipe his jeans clean from foot debris and continue to touch customers foot. He did not change gloves or any thing in that process. My sister and I got the same exact services, yet we both got 100% different services. Do not recommend this place to anyone! If you're trying to relax or pamper yourself find another place. The service is very disappointing here. Employees are easily angered, and will discontinue your service if you express that you are not happy with what they have done. I witnessed an employee let the water out of a patron's soaker tub during a pedicure because he asked her to clip his nails lower than she had. She told him no and she wasn't going to cut anymore. This is next to Snap in a little strip mall across the street from Sonic on Miller Parkway... it is super convenient and always has parking.. This is a REALLY CUTE nail salon. When you walk in you really feel like you are going someplace to be pampered. The colors are nice, the pictures on the walls are nice, and there are about 6 pedi stations toward the back. It is SUPER clean, soothing music playing.. and it doesn't SMELL like a nail salon. The prices were right on track with other nail salons... and actually less then the really crappy one I went to before this. My tech really took his time with me.. Best part? They have a punch card- after 8 (I think) visits you get $5.00 off! They have found a regular customer in me and I will recommend this nail salon to everyone! They do accept appointments. read more

I have been to this salon on three or four occasions. 1 out of three was really great the other two times I got the older woman (the oldest one in the shop) who works there. The first time she did not do a good job on the shape of my nails and the polish did not go all the way to the edges and tip of my nails. The second time I figured I need t let her know what I want and pay closer attention, So that is what I did! When showing her that the shape of my nails had angles and slopes she snatched my hand and vigorously filed my nails while squeezing my fingers very hard like she was angry. when I looked at my nails to see if the shape was correct and uniform with rest of the nails she got angry and spoke in vietnamese to a man working there. She then got up and left me and the man she was talking to finished my nails. I asked him why the switch in people. He said "she say you complain too much and you keep looking at your hand. She say you to picky." I did explain to him what I have written above and told him I am paying for this and I have a right to let her know when it is not right. He told me I could go somewhere else if I want. No recognition for what I said. If you go there, please don't get the older woman. You may find yourself being a little or alot displeased!! I paid my bill and won't ever go back there again. I can do bad by myself so why would I pay for it! If there are any positives about this place, it is the rest of the staff seems to be okay. For months I have gone to this salon without much problem but today was the second time I had an appointment and had to wait 25 minutes before they even started on me and my friend. (What's the point of an appointment?!) Secondly, the woman who did my pedicure was extremely rude. Snarky to say the least. I guess she figured I didn't understand Vietnamese and proceeded to make snarky comments about how I dared to ask her to do a design on my toes. I let that slide and settled for a regular pedicure that I could have done myself. Then I asked whether or not they could do a gradual French. I even showed her and the supervisor (I'm assuming) the simple "how-to" instructions. They said it was too difficult and I said that was fine. I'll take a regular French. My nail technician and some of the other techs continued to swap stories about "demanding" customers again, under the assumption that no one else understood them. I also informed her when I first sat down that I was there for both gel mani and pedi. I guess she was too busy talking trash to remember my request because she started painting my fingernails with a regular polish (after charging me). When I mentioned the mix up to her she seemed annoyed and proceeded to make a bunch of weird noises and snickers. In the end, I just told her to not bother (I just wanted to leave at that point.). I have massive concerns about the safety and cleanliness of the facility - at first look, it seems to be pretty clean. However, none of the equipment appears to be sterilized between customers and that's a giant concern. Reputable salons sterilize their equipment and let you see them open a from a sealed package of equipment just for your use. That's not a thing here. The manicurist was pretty great, but the lady that did my pedicure was angry because my body couldn't contort into weird angles. The pedicure was not great. The polishing of the toenails looks pretty good, but she only did callus removal on one foot, and she didn't do a very good job at it either. I could definitely do better at home (and did end up doing better at home later that night). To top it all off, I ended up with a massive allergic reaction after coming home. I would not use them again, and would not encourage others to try this salon. read more

A friend recommended this place after going here with a wedding group, so a few of us went tonight for pedicures. We were able to easily book appointments (walk-ins are fine too), were welcomed right on time, and the staff was friendly and polite. I'm a slight germophobe with salons, and Bella seemed very clean and professional. A spa pedicure only cost $25 -- and they offer a loyalty card that you can get a discount after a certain number of treatments. Recommended! read more
